no it can actually. ahhem.. "would the actual ignition switch cause this?" YES IT CAN the VL with same issue as yours, Accessories was also turning off, and a new ignition barrel fixed it. hello? go see an auto electrician, and he will tell you same thing. cheers.

The correct CR will help you run higher boost safely. so while u got the RB30 block apart, replace the pistons for lower CR, just grab a set of VLT pistons, they will be fine. if you read thru the rb30 conversions in the "forced induction performance" section, you will notice it isnt sucha big job.

AVC-R Black had no probs. only good things, controlls boost well so far, controlls spiking so well i havnt even noticed it spike once. does what i tell it to do, easy to use, easy to install, and easy to understand usermanual . great EBC !. Too bad apexi going out of business!

had similar issue on a vl, was a faulty ignition. wateva ur prob is its ignition related.

HAH nah its not, check out, http://www.act-labs.com/products/race1.htm#retro their stuff is the shiznit. but with sony 900 degree wheel insted of actlabs one, is the Ultimate setup, Actlabs pedals, REAL gated 6 speed shifter. no plastic,stuff, all syncros etc all metal, like real thing, the stuff is hard to break. thats our setup, aclabs pedals with clutch of course, 6 speed shifter, and sony gt 900 ddegree FFB wheel. we ordered via the web, got our stuff within a week
