  1. hey all i have noticed that united petrol station have a 98 pump these days. i have not tried it but has any one and is there any way to no whether its actually 98 octane. its seems to cheap compared to bp to be true. i saw it yesturday at $1.35 a litre. thats a saving of about 15cents. am i right in saying that my car would knock more if i put it in (as its tuned on BP 98) if it wasnt 98 octane??? just monitor it on pfc hand controller. how ever dont really want my engine being the test unit. might google it

  6. yeh but would a bad tune explain why its maxing out??? thats what im asking coz isnt a z32 good for around 450hp or more and a stock turbo would be pulling in that much air to eplain the maxing out
  7. i have been having problems with my z32afm for a while now. i remembered that i droped it from standing hieght before i got it installed. would this break it. it hits 5115v on the pfc hand controller putting out 250rwhp and on .8 bar. its been tuned twice with this afm on and niether shop have said anything. the car runs really rich and isnt making as much power as i would hope for with me supporting mods which are fmic hks dump nismo cat back splitfire coils fuel pump pfc avcr stock turbo at a bar when being tuned k&n pod i thought for a bit i had a dodgy ebay afm. but i just checked the serial numbers which match ones that paulr33 has on one of his fact pages. i am willing to buy new one just want to check if its nessacary first. or should i ask a tuning shop as well. but that would mean dyno time which means $$ any opinions or help would be appreciated thanks dan

  11. nice car and glad you are so happy with it. nice 1/4 time and nice looking car.. i would be looking at some s2 head lights (so much sexier then the s1) and maybe backing the boost of for your day to day driving.. but god work on the car

  14. my mate hit a couple of curbs whilst drifting on the street on both sides of his 32. this made the wheels sit back alot really really noticble.. what we did was by second hand caster rods and lower control arms and fixed her oursleves in about 2 hours or so... for both sides. as he did both side on different occasions.. stopped th pull and we had the work checked over by a suspension guy later on and said all looked fine.. so it might be an easy fix like that

  17. im running power fc and yes it is defenalty a z32 afm, it was installed by at a tuning shop so if it want i presume that would have told me then. baught of ebay pressumably new it looked new any way.. i have had a few ppl look at it and say its a z32. i no its maxinng out coz on the hand controller it reads over 5000 all the time and regularly gets to 5115 which is the highest it reading ive seen. and been told that it maxes a 5v
  18. hey my Z32 afm is maxing out at around 250rwhp. now i no this is a long way from what it shoulg be. i was told that a hole heap of Z32 afm where released faulty by some one and that i prolly have a faulty one.. if it is maxing out so early it does sound faulty in some way or is it just dirty... is this a possible reason my car is making fairly low power with its best a 247hp at 1bar with pfc ebc splitfires fuel pump full zorst fmic. also how many tuning shops should it take to notice this as a problem.. ive been to 2 and no one said anything so far
  19. yeh i read that when u first put it up its quite an impressive list.. how ever it doesnt say what engin its going on and my question is can i put it on mu rb25 and then transfer it to my 25/30 when i get the conversion done
  20. hey all what i am wanting to no is am i able to modifey my 25det with all the bolt ons and cams and turbo and manifold and all that stuff and keep doing all i can to my 25 and then when it goes bang then do a 30 conversion and take everything that i had over to my 30. so like will my cams work and will my exhaust manifold fit and my pfc will still work and all that the reason im asking is so that i dont spend all my money on 25det mods then they be of no use when i convert. thanks dan
  21. i too would love to do this my self but lack the confidence and knowledge in doing it... but looking at some of the prices listed and seeing how cheep you can get an rb30 for it doesnt seem like too much money will be wasted if all goes bad any way

  23. yes that is my original questionsimple turning it 180deg so its upside down... which i will do so on the weekend when i install. just to add to the convo i was given a honda z160 oil filter however im going to use a ryco z30 which yes is off a commodore however it does look to be the same size as the nissan filter i have on there now
  24. glad this thread came up as i am wanting to do the dame not for the flutter so much as to clean up the bay a bit more and as bam said i want to put on a big 6" intake
  25. hey all about to install my oil cooler my self and have the oil filter relocater but want to no if i can put it in upside down so that its less messy for oil changes and what not.. also its going to be sitting higher then it does on the engine will this pose a problem at all. and finnally with an 11 row oil cooler how much more oil is the rb25 going to need??? thanks dan
