Was wondering how far can you push the Garretts -5 ???

I'd love to see them go at it head to head, From what ive heard theres isnt much room to play with the R35, But still it flys Stock standard

LOL im just curious how far someone has pushes both of these engines? And curious to see which one will take out the other in a straight race with full modifications to both.

Yeh that does sound about funny i doubt they would do that, i mean that car was worth over 100 grand when it came out i would think they wouldnt care what you do with it after its gone. PLEASE let me know as i have the dash pulled apart and i would like to figure it out before i put it back together this weekend. thanks bud

IS there any tutorials around on how to replace a R32 GTR dash board? And GTS and GTR dash will fit the same right?

YEs labour is being done by someone.

Its pretty much right it will cost around 20 k all up for a good healthy 400kw setup on the -5 because like i said i spent almost 14k on everything BUT the internals Including labour. Now for a internal rebuild it will be around 6k Includin labour. So thats pretty close to 20k i can pump the boost as high as i want now and get crazy killowats but say goodbye to the engine lol

very nice... yeh well im up around 14k with tune and build lol Thats NOT with the internals still internals need to be done but then thats it.Another 6k and i should be happy BUt im not going to stroke it.. i wonder how much max healthy boost i can give it with out the stroker kit

Sorry not brake but comparing to life of the engine, is there much diff in using less boost or high boost if u have strengthend internals that is

Hi guys, Whats the most someone has seen these turbos run in Kws? Meaning running healthy not about to blow up lol.

I will tell you another down side about my car is when i got it, it had Ohlin shocks and they are very hard not good for drags, No dip. so i lowered the tyre pressure at the back to help a little. I will give it ago on wednesday and i will let you know how i went, i have to practice my take off and from 1st - 2nd i struggle because of the suspense of it all, once im on my way 3rd and 4th are pretty good.

Well it was the first go on the dyno he got 326kw maybe he didnt want to try it again just incase so he dropped it to 15psi and tried multiple times and got 316awkw.... for the 12.004 60ft i done 1.85 something like that. What you recon. Yeh well on the last take off was a maniac off the start held it at 7 grand i think i was too shocked on the take off which made me miss 2nd lol i had to put the clutch in and chuck in back in second still good for a 12.4 LOL

My freind recons not much use trying to burn out street tyres. They stay cool he recons and wont make much of a difference.

The problem i have i'd say is the gear changes especially having a heavy duty clutch doesnt make it much easier. But another thing is when they wet the ground before the takeoff i didnt burnout the tyres i just drove straight over u think i need to dry the tyres?? I think im going to Wsid Next wednesday try again lool NOT happy with my runs

i dont have the Slip with me but the 12.0004 run was like 120mph or something close to it.
