  1. MMM T04Z i assume its the HKS version? I would love to, though at the moment they are 4k! A little out of my price range. Im trying to hold myself back from buying a GT35R,
  2. You would need some valve springs to match.
  3. My friend has a twin plate version in his XR6T. It has the heaviest pedal ive ever felt on a clutch, though the clutch is as strong as all hell. I wouldnt recommend it as a street clutch. I would go with a clutch like a Xtreme Cushion button.
  4. Bang for buck i would go with CPs. I just ordered a custom set. 86.5mm bore 1.2mm Top ring(upgraded) 9.0:1 CR Cost me $1100 delivered.
  5. Hi Mick, I would suggest the GT3076 .63 Great response, and will see 270rwkw at around 16psi. I saw a touch under 300rwkw with the .82 version. Though my engine is extensively modified.
  6. All PMs replied.
  7. That sounds like an awesome setup. Stepping the boost up through the gears would give you great traction.
  8. I will setup the wastegate as follows: Spring B, smaller valve seat, Ports C&D&A That "should" bring the boost on earlier and have a base boost setting of 12psi.
  9. Cheers Richard, The goal is to be back on the road this year
  10. Ill be using C and D for my base boost level. Have you tried taking it to Pirtek to see if they have anything that will fit?
  11. I had the same problem after i got my engine back in, turned out the main cylinder needed to be adjusted all the way.
  12. How much for the complete head eg: head, cams, cams gears,CAS ect ect
  13. Only until it warmed up Duncan.
  14. Yeh those MSPEC ones are good bang for your buck.
  15. I feel for you, being a second year mechanic you would be on peanuts. My best mate finished his trade as a mechanic working for Ford, then i got him a job at my work as an offsider where he is making nearly $4 an hr more. My advice is either get really good at building high HP reliable engines of all types, or get out of the trade.
  16. Thats what i thought
  17. I have heaps of Mines,Nismo,Top Secret and URAS stickers if anyone wants any. I bought a sh[t load while in Japan. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mi...=mines+stickers
  18. I got 1 brass ring in my kit, no idea where it goes though
  19. Its BOUGHT! You bought some wheels. Bloody public school system
  20. What brass fittings are you talking about?
  21. I think you will have your wastegate on before i do Steven
  22. $1.25L i think is high for a fuel made from sugar cane. Doent seem to be cost effective if you are only getting 250km per tank. I guess with more tuning you could get it down.
  23. OK time to get the ball rolling again. ACL bearings and all the valve train gear has arrived. Im glad i ordered the valve train gear a few weeks ago otherwise it would have cost me hundreds more (sourced from US) if i bought them today. Im picking up new idler, adjuster bearings and Gates Racing timing belt tomorrow (lets hope this time they stay in one piece) I also splashed out on a new Synchronic 50mm gate So if anyone wants a Turbosmart 38mm Ultragate let me know.
  24. There is a guy in the US that converts your stock headlights to projector type ones, though this process is very expensive its a hell of alot cheaper than buying the OEM projectors that the series 3 GTRs came out with. www.IznTrbl.com This is step 1: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=imIiglkq7HA&...feature=related Go through all the steps to see this guys handy work.
  25. I never thought i would be posting in here but here i go: Engine/Car:RB25DET Type of failure: Smashed pistons and valve train Factors influencing the failure: Timing belt too tight and was not checked. Snapped the idler pulley shaft. State of tune of the engine: CP pistons(9.0:1CR) 20thou over Spool rods Cometic 1.2mm MLS head gasket Nissan gasket kit Tomei valve springs Tomei 256 Poncams Tomei oil gallery restrictor JUN crank collar Custom head to sump oil drain N1 oil pump Greddy plenum Greddy throttle adapter Nismo 740c injectors Nismo fuel pump Nismo engine mounts ARP head, main, rod and exhaust studs ACL Race series main and rod bearings Splitfire coils GT3037 .82 turbo (has the slotted cover for that T51r sound) GCG Stainless highmount manifold Turbosmart 38mm Ultragate All controlled by a Haltech E11v2. Suspension and tyres: Stock suspension, sitting on 19s. Oil used and service interval: Motul Turbolite 4100 General comments: Engine was running excellent and produced easy power with no stress. Just sucks that a cheap and overlooked part caused this big mess. Engine is currently being rebuilt with new pistons, all new valve train ect ect
