  1. That is insane. I got a set of Project Mu Pads supplied and fitted for under $400. Ask for clarification. If they are charging that for supply and fitting of pads then that is the biggest ripoff ever.
  2. Bit of a bump. I've got a full set of bushes and front/rear Whiteline swaybars going on the car over the next few days. Looking forward to seeing the difference
  3. Thanks for that. Trader feedback left too EDIT: The gearstick boot wasn't too hard to install. On my R33 the console surround is held in place by one screw (behind the ash-tray) and two clips behind and either side of the gearstick (that is, they are in-between the gearstick and the handbrake). I just popped the two clips out, then unscrewed the screw.
  4. Got mine today, will leave feedback soon Just a quick question (and yes, I searched) how do you go about installing the gearstick boot? Thanks
  5. Spotted 2 x R33s in Macarthur Square carpark, near JB-HI Fi entrance. One white, one purple, both with chrome rims (not to my tastes, but each to their own). I was the stock looking maroon R33. Hi if you're on here.
  6. I'm in for my R33 GTST S2. PM me with details when it happens.
  7. Hi pablo101, I'm up for a set for my R33, if this is still going. PM me details. Thanks
  8. Damn straight. I hadn't heard of Firepower before this, but the more you read the more...interesting the company becomes. For example: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...505-643,00.html From the article:
  9. Hi all, A little background: Daniel Rutter runs the website http://www.dansdata.com/ , a fairly well known website among computer and tech-heads alike. He does independent reviews of computer hardware and a whole host of stuff. Firepower is a company that is selling a 'fuel pill' which, if their results are to be believed is some sort of fuel economy and fuel octane miracle with amazing benefits. Firepower provided Dan with some 'results' about their product. Results which Dan completely debunked here: http://dansdata.blogsome.com/2008/02/12/firepowers-results/ Now, to quote Dan from his website: "Someone from the colourful fuel-additive company Firepower has ordered Blogsome, who host my blog, to force me to cease linking to the PDF file of their "evidence" which their Australian CEO sent to me. When he sent it to me, he similarly ordered me to make it available for download" For further reading: http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=1...=121327&p=0 http://www.smh.com.au/news/business/firepo...0486568678.html http://buyfirepowerpill.com/ http://www.leaguehq.com.au/news/news/rabbi...2941065800.html http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/firepo...8709679192.html
  10. Hi all, I'm progressively going through my car and replacing bits that are most likely to have worn over time. Working through my list, I've done water and fuel pumps, spark plugs, suspension bushes. I figure it's about time I did the hoses too. Basically, I'm looking at getting a bunch of silicone hoses like the sets that Ministry of Bass is selling, such as: http://www.ministryofbass.com.au/moshop/pr...products_id=261 Some questions: 1. Are there any special precautions to take when replacing hoses, other than making sure that I use good hose clamps and that the hoses are properly secured? 2. <noob-ish stupid question> Are there any hoses that are likely to have fluids in them that I'll have to be aware of? 3. Any other hose-replacing tips? Thanks guys
  11. That is a fantastic little car for the price. Good luck with the sale.
  12. That you did, lol. StolenS15, where did you purchase them from originally? I'm still looking at getting some, even if I can't have yours
  13. Yeah, was thinking of doing something like that too actually. Is there anyone on here that sells complete bushes sets? I had a look in the for sale section but I couldn't really see any. EDIT: Never mind, Ministry of Bass to the rescue
  14. Thanks guys, appreciate the advice. I want to try and avoid being someone who spends all their time and effort making my car go faster, without making it turn and stop better Agreed about research- my initial first thought was due to research on SAU, on other sites and talking to people I know that have experience in this area. Can never be too well informed.
  15. I've had a good read of that thread, thanks for mentioning it though. I've heard nothing but good things about the K-104s, but unfortunately they don't seem to offer them in a good size to suit the stock rims I have. If I had different wheels, it would be K-104s, no question. As it stands though, the Proxies 4 are looking mighty good for the price.
  16. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Yeah, I've seen a few of Gary's threads around, we are lucky to have people like him on here. I'll track down that group buy thread.
  17. I've just been quoted $165 per corner for these at my local tyre place, fitted and balanced. I cant get the K104s for my rims, but only in the 205/55. So I might just have a look at these.
  18. Looking around, there are a lot of people that are really happy with the K104's. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere that stocks them near me.
  19. Hi all, In the near future I'll be looking to get some new tyres for my car (96 R33 GTST S2). It's currently wearing the tyres put on for compliance- in other words the cheapest, nastiest pieces of trash you can buy. Here's the challenge though- I'm using the stock rims for my car. So that limits the choice a bit. So, what are the best 'bang-for-buck' tyres I can get?
