  1. Heh, figured as much Just wanted to see if anyone that had done it had any particular advise / suggestions about where to go and what to get done. I'll check out my local exhaust place soon and see what they can do. Thanks all, and thanks for that pic too.
  2. Sounds good guys, thanks for the info. auss13, do you have any larger versions of the pic in your av? Looks like the kind of muffler I'd like to get.
  3. Hi all, I have a Xforce turbo back system on my car- it does the job and isn't that loud. I don't like the canon though- too much of a ricer look for me these days. Would it be possible to have a muffler made up that had two smaller pipes (like the stock one but not as much like a truck exhaust muffler lol) but not lose any flow? Also, is it likely to sound any different? (not that worried about sound, more concerned with getting the most flow through the system). I'm hoping it is as easy as going to a good exhaust place and getting one made up and fitted. Anyone done something like this before?
  4. Same here- exactly the same actually with the ticking and the hot air.
  5. I finished up at UWS Macarthur a year ago. It was usually pretty good for parking, and up until the final year of my degree the 'yellow' parking areas were free! Was great while it lasted.
  6. Spotted a white R33 GTR in Picton today, had a small SAU sticker on the rear side window. I was too slow to wave, and was in stealth mode (ie on foot).
  7. No problems. It should be noted that just because it may be possible to buy the game overseas that doesn't make it legal. Won't stop most people though. Edit: that's twice Cracksta!
  8. Sites like http://www.play-asia.com/ are your friend
  9. I'm a fan. For sure. In case you didn't know, its been refused classification in Aus (effectively banned) due to drug use. See here: http://kotaku.com/5023636/heres-why-fallou...ed-in-australia http://www.news.com.au/technology/story/0,...5014117,00.html Having said that, the people that really want it will buy it overseas or download it. Pretty pointless really. Edit: beaten to the punch
  10. Really sorry to hear. Hope you get all the stuff back and the people are found.
  11. What skyline you can get and what mods you can do will vary from state to state. Seriously, you are better off getting a 'normal' car for your P's and getting a turbo skyline when you have your full license. Save your money for the moment.
  12. Bit of a bump... I've had a good search on here for info about steering rack boots- the trouble is I'm after REAR ones for my R33. All the threads I've come across are to do with the front ones. Any hints? Its a fair bit smaller than the front boots are. Will try to post some photos if that helps.
  13. Yeah, am planning to play around with the fluid levels when I get a chance. It would be dexron 3 fluid that's usually used right?
  14. Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by a 'POR 15' product? EDIT: ah, you mean this stuff? http://www.por15.com/ Looks good, I'll try to order some. Know any good places in Aus to buy it from? Nah, not a silly question. Pretty sure that has been tried though, I'll double check. If I run out of things to try, I might even get the Billion replacement reservoir and see how that goes. Thanks for the replies guys.
  15. Looking for the part numbers for the following to suit 1996 R33 GTST: -CV Boots -Steering Rack boots (front and rear) Thanks
  16. Hi guys, My mechanic and I have just been going though some minor issues he has noted with my R33 (1996 R33 GTST S2). Was hoping someone on here might be able to point me in the right direction for some of these things: *Minor rust treatment- there is some minor surface rust on the rear cross member (diff support). Am hoping that there is a good spray on solution to deal with this. From searching, I've read that 'Kill Rust' and 'Cold Galv' are good for this kind of thing. Where would I get these? Anything else that would be better to treat rust? *Driver's side rear steering rack boot- this boot is split, and I don't want crap to get in there so I'm looking to replace it (am thinking I might as well buy two while I'm at it). I've read this thread but that seems to be in relation to the front. Any tips as to where I would buy these? *Gearbox oil leaking out of breather- I recently had my gearbox oil changed and had some Redline oil put in. Apparently a small amount of gearbox oil is leaking out of the breather. Oil levels for the gearbox are fine- doesn't look to have been an overfilling problem. Anyone come across this before? Suggestions? *Noisy power steering pump- This is a strange one, and my mechanic says he thinks its just a design flaw with how the pump works. Basically, when you go to full lock or near full lock the pump is really noisy. From what my mechanic has discovered it looks to be a result of the pump ingesting air because of how quickly the fluid gushes out of the reservoir. The reservoir is filled to the appropriate level, and if you watch fluid levels when you turn the car on the reservoir very quickly empties about 1 quarter of the fluid in it. Turn the car off, and the reservoir fluid levels return to full just as quickly. Many thanks for any help / advice you can offer. I have tried to search for all of the above on here before posting, so apologies if anything I've asked has already been answered. Cheers.
  17. Hmm, not a bad idea. Only thing is I'm not sure how I'd go about bending it to suit my setup and still maintaining the pipe diameter. Going to need to have a few bends- planning to use the holes from the old side mount intercooler to feed to airbox.
  18. Hi all, It's the same old story- I'm using the standard R33 airbox but I've got a front-mount intercooler. So, no snokel for me. I was considering buying something like this from nengun: http://www.billion-inc.co.jp/billion2006/A...nel/Funnel.html but I figure it would be cheaper (and quicker) to make my own. So, where is the best place to get 100mm unlsotted (no little holes in it) ag pipe? None of my small, local hardware shops have it. Cheers
  19. Spotted my R33 having its defects cleared. Yay! Also got a wave from a white R33 I see around, on the main road between Tahmoor and Picton. Hi if you are on here.
  20. So what's the go with this? Just waiting for enough people I guess? PM me when payment is required, I don't get to log in to SAU as much as I used to. Thanks
  21. Been spotting a white R33 around the Wollondilly. Dark rims, looks lowered. I've waved a few times but got nothing back
  22. Yes well...in the future, hopefully. Would be nice to meet you all. Still think I'd feel all self-conscious with my stock rims though It's not that I wouldn't LIKE a nice set of Jap-style rims, but whenever I think about spending the cash more mechanical/performance things pop into my mind that I could spend it on instead, and that's that. I thought it was strange that there was a tuner in Campbelltown and I didn't notice- whilst I don't live in Campbelltown itself I'm there a fair bit. It's a shame there's no workshop in the area though, I would have thought the demand was there for one. A mate of mine was talking about opening one in Narellan, but thus far I don't think anything has eventuated. Thanks for the advice guys.
  23. Hi guys, I'm from the Campbelltown area (and yes, haven't made it to a meet yet ). Currently, I'm taking my car to a tuner a fair way away from me. I'm happy with them, I get good service, good pricing and they are nice guys to boot. HOWEVER the hassle of getting to / from the tuners has always been a downside, especially as I'm getting busier work-wise these days. I was reading a Zoom mag today (not current issue, issue 114) and came across a full page ad for Powerhouse Racing Development, apparently in Campbelltown. I've never heard of these guys before, and I haven't heard talk of them on here. So, does anyone know anything about them? Anyone used them? In the ad it says they do tuning on S13, 14, 15 and R32, 33, 34s, and that they have a Mainline Dyno. As stated, I'm pretty happy with my current tuner and most likely won't go anywhere else, the only thing that tempts me to give Powerhouse a try is that they are closer to where I live. Thanks.
  24. Got the car back, very happy with the results. Much less bodyroll and more stability in high speed turns.
