  1. lol... villiage motors wanted to charge me 1200 for an RB AFM... you're from the village people if you try and buy anything except for wheel studs through them.
  2. now they can save on blue test dumiies as obstacles and use elderly ladies carrying their shopping home in walking frames as high speed chicanes. woot... I want to join the police force
  3. Gizzmo MS-IBC II best bang for buck and apparently it can be used for up to 4bar (like who is going to use that.... but anyway) There's a Euro 8sec GTsT that uses it so it must be reasonable at worst, Scramble modes, bar, psi and Kpa readouts, 8 presets, Anti-Spike, Gain and Duty settings, Auxiliary remote which can be programmed etc etc... Small black box with simple blue led display. easily hid. My mech wanted me to fork out the 900-1200 bux for an AVC-r, but that was because he was an Apexi dealer. The Gizzmo unit does the job and I haven't heard many negative reviews.
  4. You may wind up stalling it everytime you pull up at a roundabout or lights... but go for it.. i thought it was awesome fun when i first tried it... and refitting it costs nothing... dunno if it will root ur turbo though after prolonged use... ??
  5. Haltech Platinum Interceptor.... 750 bucks.. has anyone run them? I hear GTAuto is going to try a Haltech Platinum2000 in a piggyback mode on a stag this week.. I'll let you know what I hear...
  6. I had mine.. until one drunken new years i decided to light it and pretend I was an aeroplane on fire.. or something... I can't quite remember...
  7. thanks to everyone who helped out.. I ahve a replacement AFM... I'll be doing troubleshooting with it on Thursday... I also have coils and MS-IBC. THanks heaps for everyone's assistance. I'll let open this thread back up if i still need your help... thanks a bunch peace
  8. you can check splitfires.. there are two different partnumbers - one for the early R33 with a seperate Ignitor, another for late model R33's with the ignitor built into the Coilpack.
  9. no... I don't think so. I'm Guessing your stag has an earlier model 33 RB25DET spec engine in it. (96 model?) Most S1 Stag's have S2 R33 engines in them - which do not have an ignitor module seperate - it is built into the coilpacks. If he has a series 2 R33 then he doesn;t need one... he should just have the holes Check FAST for your relative part numbers - or alternatively.. ahve a search for Splitfires.. you will notice that there are different splitfire partcodes for different 33 spec RB25DET's... one for the old model and one for the new.
  10. WTB RB25DET AFM part# 22680-31U00 ... from R33 and/or R34GTT up to build date 9910 Just need the AFM, no harness or anything. Let me know how much you want. I've had offers for around $50 before... but they were the wrong part number (late model 34 which is part number ##### 31U05). Part number is located on the sticker next to the AFM plug. I'm located in Carseldine. Pick up or post.. whatever suits you... Cheers in advance
  11. Still chasing an AFM... PART NUMBER: 22680-31U00 R33 series 1 and 2 GTsT generally, and early Model R34 GTT up to build date 9910 (October 1999) should carry this AFM serial number. Cheers in advance...
  12. ARE YOU SELLING THE OLD AFM? IS IT PART NUMBER 22680-31u00? THNKS
  13. Hey steve. Thanks heaps for your help. I'd love to come round and give that stuff a go if the offer is still up for grabs. I should have checked here more regularly. Can you PM me ur contact details? A replacement bosot t would be great too... sorry to hear about your car too btw 53XYN thanks for the offer. I'll try these S2 replacements first and see if I can dig up anything on using R34 coils on a 33s2, but I'm a bit hesitant because JJR replacement coils and splitfires specify a different part number for R33 S1, S1.5/2, late S2 and R34 replacement coils, so I assume that there is a difference.
  14. Didn't want to give the wrong impression. I want to trouble shoot by using someone else's spare parts and if they fix the problem... THEN I want to buy... I don't want someone looking for a sale getting upset if i'm not throwing money their way straight up. The priority is on getting some assistance, not on EOI or WTB. A sale may or may not follow afterwards.
  15. I have an overfuelling issue. Actually I've had it for a while but have been super lazy... it could be a number of things so I'm loking for any 2nd hand items to help diagnose my problem. These items are for a S1 Stagea, so items need to match R33 S2 RB25DET AFM standard type (not interested in VG30 or Tomei types as they require voltage correction for 3-5v and I don't plan on going over 250kw anyway) Coils and ignitor (specifically for S2 RB25DET) I might buy these if they are well priced, otherwise I'll just get some splitfires. Boost guage (so i can make sure mine is reading correctly as I bought a cheapo a while ago) Boost controller (EOI really... any type you might have spare. My bleed valve type has a rooted spring, I don't want to go back to stock boost and a good Electronic boost kit costs a grand which at the moment is a bit out of my range) I'll use these items for some troubleshooting to see if I can put my finger on the problem. If it solves the problem I'll buy them off you. If they are cheap enough I'll buy them off you on the spot without troubleshooting with it. I'm not chasing aftermarket stuff, I'm not shooting for more power, I just want it to run properly without cutting out at 4pound and missing like a machine gun. I'm located on the Northside of Brisbane. Hope someone can help out. Thanks in advance. Chris
  16. there is a massive ms word or pdf file how to guide on SAU somewhere for RB30/25/26 conversions.. have a search mate.. it's there somewhere. Great guide.
  17. monkey warehouse - near wilston
  18. only feature in carseldine is an abandoned university and a BP... .. you'll be close to the train so jsut jump on - burn into the city (about 25minutes) - and go check out whatever. Then u can get trashed and sober up on public transport - yay - such fun
  19. white Dayz S2 on Old Gympie Rd/all those other roads that OGR turns into... This morning - said goodbye just before the hospital when i got on the riverside expressway...
  20. famous classic car insurance used to give me good quotes so i went with them - unlimited mods If rwc is an issue jsut go and get one from an import mechanic. cost me $75. But yeah - not much choice at 19
  21. well i got a stagea (RB25DET) - but i think my sensors are gone. took up 30L of fuel to get from Noosa to EightMilePlains and taking it easy the whole way so about 20L per 100Kms I think i need to get myself a tune, new AFM and new O2 Sensor and a major service
  22. SITC/SAFC COmbination for ignition and fuel adjustments - or an alternative piggyback (The Greddy Emanage ultimate has an auto mode.) SITC/SAFC combo is better for the auto due to them altering input connections before the auto logic is applied to the revised load/engine parameters. My understanding is that the Emanage and other units alter the outgoing data and so are applied after the auto shift logicis implimented... There has been known to be a mod to allow a PowerFC running an auto in R33 - but i hear that like the emanage - it is bad for the auto as it is applied AFTER the shift logic of the stock FC is applied... or something to that effect. Definately need an upgraded auto box to run it for an extended time because it's not sympathetic to the auto needs or load distributions etc etc.. meh... SK wrote a really good post on this at one point (I think it was in the stagea section) about the same time as He was experiementing with Jaycar AFC and ITC's for his stagea. Do a search and you should find it. PEace
  23. R34 GTS, GTT or GTR guard liner (both front and rear halves - prefferably with clips) for FRONT LHS only. If you have one spare or you threw one out or there's one you know of in a castle far far away protected by a scary dragon - I need to know! Need one for a roadworthy cert so that we can sell the car. Preferably located in Brisbane so we don't have to wait for shipping. THNX Peace Out Christopher 0407 025 434
  24. spotted S2 white on Brisbane's inner city bypass a few days ago - exchanged spooling and waves of "hello there" for a bit before he (and the missus and the booster seat(?)) turned off at the hospital turnoff heading north. Peace
