  1. Well, if Tiger had a 'sex addiction', then I have a 'R34 modifying addiction'. I think I need to go to rehab and apologize to my wife as well!!!!! Anyhow, enough BS. My beefy Autoselect strut brace finally arrived after ordering it 3 months ago. Specs: 3 piece design (centre cross member with two mounts secured by heavy duty bolt) Mounts wrap around turrets for maximum bracing Billet T60 aluminum construction Exquisite detail with 'AS' logo engraving Polished aluminum finish on the top surface Cross member measures 110mm to 90mm wide and 25mm thick Weight 4.5kg. (Stock strut brace 3.5kg) Can support my weight (78kg) with no bending at all. The obligatory photo documentation: Installed - looks tough: Fit is perfect! Wraps around strut towers better than stock or any other type of aftermarket strut brace I have more stuff to come. Keep you guys posted.
  2. JAGR33: Jack, One of the best looking R33 around, speechless! Matt
  3. Bump. These are selling for more than $1200 AUD EACH on Yahoo Japan, excluding freight, import tax etc. Please buy them, before I have a chance to change my mind, I may just reupholster them in leather? SRB: should I still hold them for you!?!?
  4. Certainly a lot interest in these rare Nismo wheels. They are very hard to part with as you just can't buy them anymore! I may have a firm deposit now. I will update as soon as deposit is made - looks like these will head interstate. Some more pics just for good measure: Perfect offset:
  5. There is nothing like a bit of NISMO goodness on your GTR. These are rare and are no longer in production!
  6. Thanks for correction! Silver stitching also available on VSpecIIs. No problems SRB, let me know by Monday.
  7. For sale: Items: Stock BNR34 seats in Black with silver stitching only available in a NUR Spec, including stock seat rails Condition: excellent, no wear marks, stains, soils etc. Reason for sale: hoping to change to one piece racing buckets Price: $2500 excluding delivery. Buyer pays freight. (Interstate freight can be organised through Aaron's help from Import Monster) Please pm if seriously interested. Low ballers will not be replied. Thank you
  8. For sale: Items: Nismo LMGT4s limited edition in Gloss Gunmetal with GT500 style centre cap X4 Note: Only 500 wheels produced by Rays in 2005; purchased brand new from Yahoo Japan at premium price Width and offset: 18"X9.5" +12 (fits R32, 33, 34 GTR with no guard rolling) Condition: Three wheels like new, not a scratch; one has light gutter rash at about 8cm long (DOH! I kerbed it two days after having rims fitted on a roundabout. It can be touched up easily at professional wheel repairer.) Tyres: 95% new Bridgestone RE01R 265/35 R18 Note: these tyres are arguably the best Bridgestone has to offer for outright grip in a street tyre. Brand new priced at more than $500 each and they are hard to get now (travelled less than 2000kms, because car has spent more time at Racepace being modified than on the road for past 6 to 12 months LOL) Price: $4400 excluding delivery. Buyer pays for freight. (Interstate freight can be organised through Aaron from Import Monster with no hassles.) Centre Cap removed - gives wheels a different look: Tread pattern: Even those little rubber knobs to indicate new tyres have not been worn away Now, the gutter rash However, hardly noticeable for normal viewing distance as wheels are gunmetal in color. Please pm me if seriously interested. Low ballers will not be replied.
  9. Thanks guys. I shall have a go and see if I can install this Sat Nav
  10. Hi guys, Can anyone give me some directions to find the speed signal wire from my Power FC in a R34 GTR? I need to splice into speed signal for SAT NAV. Cheers Matt
  11. Beautiful and unique GTR. You should have no problems selling. GL
  12. Hey Bill, You can bid online at Yahoo Japan through Import monster, check out this link: http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...tle=BNR34%20MFD Once successful in bidding, you can have it EMS within 1-4 weeks. Import Monster is very efficient! I hope this helps. Cheers
  13. Free Bump! Its a pity that my engine is fully built already Otherwise I would have snapped this up in a heart beat.
  14. Thank you everyone for following my build thread. I appreciate all your compliments. With regards to bonnet restraint for motorsport events, I think it would be 'sacrilege' to the Nismo Gods to drill holes for bonnet latches on my R Tune bonnet; therefore my option I guess is to use DIY straps like what NickR33 suggested. I have some more finishing touches to finalise before total completion of this build. I shall keep you posted.
  15. Hey Mark, Look forward to more of your photo diary.
  16. Thanks for your compliments Jack! It was great getting some feedback on the car from an experienced GTR owner and track driver like yourself. As N1GTR pointed out, Jack's car is no sleeper either, so for him to be impressed is truly something special. I am pleased that it gave you the thrills Jack! What freaked me out the most was how 'FAST' the car felt as a passenger with a capable driver at the wheel. It actually felt 'scary', even though I knew Jack was in total control and the car was performing well within its capabilities. I guess without the steering wheel to grab hold of and some anticipation from your own accelerator input gives one an exaggerated sensation of speed. It would be great to get someone like The Stig to take this car around a standard test track and find out how it compares to other sports car, R35 etc. Thanks MLcrisis for your congratulations! Good luck with your project. Look forward to seeing your progress Cheers Matt
  17. Thanks guys. I will take it in next week. I am paranoid about my wheels. Cheers
  18. No Jack, I suspected that it happened a while ago, I checked the tyre pressure this morning and when I got home it lost a few psi. Then I inspected closely and there the nail was in the middle of the fat tread, DOH! Fitted tyres in Rowville, but I just fear that they will damage the painted lip.
  19. Hi all, Can anyone recommend a careful, reliable and meticulous tyre place to have puncture repair WITHOUT scratching/damaging my painted wheels in the process of dismounting and remounting the tyre? Cheers Matt
  20. I can stare at those carbon fibre seats all day and night. The mod list is totally mind boggling. This is definitely one of the most tuned and toughest R35 out there Congrats!
  21. Hey Mark, Any updates yet? You must be having too good a time at the TAS. I was there last year, spent two days drooling over the cars (and the girls of course!) I am so eager to see how your dyno goes Cheers Matt
  22. Hey Moneypit, Well done for persisting and solving all the issues you encountered along the way to make the V Cam work! I am glad everthing worked out for you in the end. Impressive result on 2.6L capacity. The V Cam certainly makes engine revs pick up a lot quicker and smoother. Did I hear someone say Racepace twin 4" is (ugly)? LOL! I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I just like the stock appearance, less attention from Vic TMUs. Cheers Matt
  23. Hi GTRNUR, Thanks. The reason I did not go for the Nismo R Tune setup or G-Attack setup is that they cannot be revalved or rebuilt locally as the valves and seals are hard to acquire even in Japan. Also the Japanese spring rates and damper settings are more often than not too harsh for Australian road conditions. Fulcrum can revalve or rebuild Tein shocks with genuine seals and valves etc. Hi Huy, I am going to concentrate on the interior and fitting of the suspension next year and that's all on the agenda; or at least that's what I told to wife. The Mine's Silence Vx pro 'appears' to be too constricted in diameter right where the exit pipe is welded to the silencer. I did not end up buying one. I considered it as one of my options initially until Ben told me his experience with a R34 from QLD that he tuned. He was BS'ing as the car was there when I visited his workshop and the Mines exhaust had surely been removed and eventually sold to someone else. Then again, others have had good success from the Mines exhaust; one thing though the Mines Titanium exhaust is immaculately hand crafted and can be hung on the mantle piece as a piece of art! Hi Jack, Finally got my hands on some Rs's after prowling Yahoo Japan Auctions for months. It was certainly not cheap by the time it landed. I am looking forward to a new level of handling! Cheers all Matt
  24. Last, thank you to Import Monster, I was able to get my hands on these out of production Tein RS Circuit Master from Yahoo Japan. There are rare and are hard to acquire. The spring rates are F12K R10K with helper spring setup. Fully damper and rebound adjustable. The cool reservoir oil canisters look trick. The shock cylinders are fully anodized aluminum in cool Tein green. The surface is textured with fine vertical striae for a more 'upmarket' feel. The sturt tops are a bit weathered because they are 'used' afterall. They will be overhauled and revalved in custom Racepace spec in the New Year most likely by Fulcrum in QLD who is the official Tein distributor in Australia. The Racepace suspension setup is proven on a number of competitive Targa and circuit cars. Enough of specs, now the pictures: Front: Rear: Yes, I know I am insane and obsessed with my build. A birdie tells me I need some serious counseling in 2010. Happy New Year everyone! Safe Driving! Cheers Matt
