  1. You call rolling a guard "extensive modification"??? Seriously? It's rolling a guard!! Modified is pumping them out and changing their shape. Rolling is just necessary to be able to fit good track and good tyre size.
  2. 255/40R17 all round, or 255/35R18. That's plenty and will still clear easy I spend a lot of time looking at the fastest circuit GT-R's in Japan and would use similar set ups to them. Each and every person likes different things. And the only way to work that out is trial and error with your alignments. I personally like softer springs and upped sway bars, so to me, running -3 camber on a car is not an issue. However a stiffer sprung car may use less if it doesn't roll onto the tyre as much. My responses are based on people stating that those sizes are 'sex spec' or 'ricer fitment' when they have been used with great success overseas with no issues whatsoever. Each to their own. But 10.5 +15 would be on my 32 GT-R if I had one, with 255/35R18s and around -3 camber all round. A little rear toe in and off course front toe out. I like to run as much castor as I can without clearance issues But that suits how I drive. Obviously there is a need to the guard to be rolled 100% flat. They would never clear without that. But camber plays a big role as well as ride height.
  3. Theyre an awesome piece of kit. I run them in my 34. 3 point adjustment. I run my car pretty low (tyre flush with guard, but I have -3.5 front camber on the car. Ikeya are wicked but the price is quite a lot more. Cusco all the way
  4. That's because no-one recommends ISC. BCs are a much better option.
  5. LOL sounds like an excuse to me. Funny that some of the fastest circuit spec 32 GT-Rs in Japan run this size on them without massively modified guards. But what would they know? They aren't people blinded by the idea that fitment sacrifices your ability to thrash Don't put fitment and sex spec together. They aren't anything alike. If you're having a nightmare with fitment, you're doing it wrong. Plain and simple. That's what happens when amateurs set up cars It's because they're all doing it wrong. They see this idiots with terrible mexican fitment rubbing and scraping and think that's what it's about. Then they buy sh*tty offset wheels and say what was quoted above to justify it. PERFECT fitment is sitting flush and having no rubbing, no need for super narrow rubber, or anything outside the alignment you want.
  6. Rolled guards is hardly modified. Flaring is how I would interpret his statement. And running 255/35R18s would be an even easier way of fitting them. Camber would not need to be stupid at all.
  7. I hope they catch the bastards and cut off their fingers
  8. Wheels only. Located in Adelaide. Can organise cheap shipping if necessary.
  9. Actually they fit perfectly by running a little camber and quality 265/35R18s. He'll need to roll the guards perfectly flat to fit them as well. No wonder there are so many weak looking GT-Rs around with everyone scared to actually put an aggressive size on them.
  10. I have the wheels that came on my R34 reduced for a quick sale. Need them gone this week. Chrome 18x9 +29 and 18x10 +37 SSR Professor SP1s. Light damage on one wheel as shown in second pic. Come grab them. $1600 and they're yours. No tyres. Cheap as chips.
  11. Thank you for showing you have no idea. Already done it time and time again on them. My 9.5 +12s on the front of my R34 sit maybe 2mm out of the guards, and no guard pulling at all. It can be done, so don't say it can't.
  13. The damage on the guard was from when they weren't rolled and were rubbing hard. Fixed it all up and they don't rub at all now, so no issue of them bending. Was just my laziness that caused it initially. And my mate runs 9 -5s under the front of his R32 with standard guards As for being highly doubtful, I run more camber with street suspension than race sus because the car has a tendancy to roll more. I build my cars to be driven hard, not to be pussy footed around like most Skyline's you see these days
  14. Because you're looking at it the wrong way. I go a wider wheel, so the same size tyre can be used, but has the necessary stretch. And with alignment, I set my car up with -3.5 camber because it is ALWAYS getting flogged in the hills so I set it up to be optimal. I don't set it up for driving to work and sacrifice it's performance under load. But I also simply accept that my tyres will wear quicker (i'd change rear tyres 12 times a year anyway due to sliding the car). They're 18x9 +30 My R34 has 9.5 +12 all round without any guard pull at all. Just lips rolled
  15. People also need to understand that fitment doesn't have to sacrifice handling etc. But clearly under your regulations you do what you can. Clearly I'm talking about an open environment that allows for whatever you like.
  16. Or if you're running a decent alignment with camber on the front for grip. I'm glad you're not fitting wheels to cars all around Australia then. I run 9.5 +12s on the front of my R34 with no issues whatsoever, and 32 is very similar width, so the +20 should be fine. Just dial camber into it. Which is why no-one on here has decent fitment. That needs camber (like any performance alignment) and a little stretch and they'll tuck. If the guards were pulled a little it would fit with EASE. So you're suggesting you don't understand it? Ok
  17. 2001 R34 GTT sedan 18x9.5 +12 all round with 235/40R18 Federal 595s. Camber is quite a bit to tuck the rears as the guards are simply rolled, not lipped.
  18. Roll the guards perfectly flat with some Cusco camber arms maxed in and they'll fit with ease
  19. Overall I must say that 80% of this thread is a joke. Nisskid may get on some people's nerves about the way he approaches these things, but for the most part he is generally correct. There are plenty of members on here that have proven their lack of intelligence and proven they have no idea whatsoever regarding the issues at hand. Yet they resort to name calling like children and mocking others that are correct, while they are wrong. So many f*cking idiots on this site. I would hardly consider the Emotions and the Rotas in the same barrel. The quality are completely different levels. Enkei also use a completely different production method and high quality materials that eliminate the cheap and nasty issues found with the basic crap. They are nowhere near the same. They also weight 3 tonnes per corner. Hardly the point lol. The wheels are NOT race wheels and not up to the loading the 35 puts on them using slicks. It's not a bad thing against Rota. They're cheap wheels, for cheap uses. High end motorsport is not their intention. So they shouldn't be used for it.
  20. Another great alternative would be the SSR range (SP1, MS1, VS1 etc etc). They are an extremely strong (stronger than Simmons) and light multi-piece wheel that can be custom built to your specifications. The best bet would be to contact Jesse Streeter in Japan ([email protected] or jessestreeter.com) and have him get a custom set built to suit R35 GT-R in either 18 or 19 inch as you require. Will be far better service and prices than the crap on offer in Australia
  21. If you buy these you're an idiot. Get something that fits properly.
  22. Trust drag cores are 100-110mm thick I think.
