  1. beeper in the speedo I think. you can kill it but you might loose the other beeping warnings when you leave key in ignition or when you leave the light on and open door, with engine off
  2. yeah its fine
  3. looks good. I'm thinking to work (& save) really hard over the next couple of years, wanted one of the 370GT SP sedan that just out last year '09 - still very expensive, though and none made it to auction house yet... only the 350GTs
  4. It doesn't need a hook turn to get T-boned. In fact I could have been T-boned this morning on way to work on a T junction with traffic lights! Waiting on the T to turn right, when my set of light turn green, I saw from the right a truck stop at his red light, and a car on the lane next to the truck kept going, apparently he ran a redlight as my light had just turned green, as I move across the T-junction I get very cautious and to my surprise another shitbox car shoots through his redlight a good 3 seconds after my lights had turn green! Freakin' mad I blared my horn as long as possible - gotta remember to jot down his number plate next time I'd dob them in! Anyway, After work I was at the William St doing hook turn again.... but alas MILLOS is not there this evening, so I couldn't redeem myself of my sins the other day ignoring him...
  5. It is - we're doing both stage on Monday - 6pm. if you can arrive 5 min earlier that's better.
  6. press the 3rd button from left on top row switch between view angles
  7. That thing is the ETC reader (Electronic Toll Card) - Japanese equivalent to our Citylink. Cant do anything with it you'll have to leave it in otherwise your car will complain with a message on screen.
  8. Hi Jon, it will work just perfect. as long as it has factory Navi/TV screen unit (not aftermarket!). Ring me in the morning to discuss day & time - my phone # in my sig below. Appreciate not ringing at night please, gotta put the bub to sleep.
  9. my passenger lock actuator died after a hot day...
  10. yeah - been driving 10 yrs in melbourne and I still don't like hook turns. Those, and the death trap roundabout @ Royal Parade near the Women's Hospital where cars, trams all mixed into a tangled web of around 5 road junctions!
  11. LOL This sort of abusive road rage behaviour is the main reason why I'm keeping my view straight ahead to avoid unnecessary street violence... ha ha sorry didn't notice you - I bloody hate hook turns - had to put 1000% concentration to watch for traffic from all directions, particularly redlight runners and tailgaters sneaking up from behind.
  12. seems GT8 is known to have used less petrol than 6MT & 5AT-X
  13. probably not because it's a DVD format. but Nissan FAST has now launched, it wasn't the install folder - but was the missing font problem. After I set the font to courier new then all is hanky dory but I still can't figure out which diagram to show the electronics in the door, I think it was missing from the dvd or not provided. funny thing is Japan Parts got the diagram http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php...key=083-125-001
  14. there is a separate button for mirror fold - usually just next to the mirror adjustment. I wouldn't wanna use it too often. high usage also seem to wear the motor from what others have posted around the internet. also - apparently there was a 'hatred' among some local vandalds looking at JDM cars parked with mirrors folded. They saw the act of mirror folding is a snobbish show offs of that feature so they set off to 'undo' the act by hand. Those vandals really have nothing better to do. They do know that folding it back while the mirror is folded will often break the motor housing inside... and they did it on purpose for fun - just as how they love to key someone's nicely polished new car.
  15. Mine is 2009 version 04 I think it's april - i had to set my xp lang to jp locale then i can see the menu in kanji. I do read a bit chinese but that only help me guessing 10% of the japanese characters was trying to find actuator door lock for my v35 LHS
  16. that's ok I found it. I need to change the font from the settings. it's missing jap font so it won't load up. but now with Courier - it's still showing Japanese menu in gibberish so I might have to install a USDM front end and use it with JDM data.
  17. is that a Civic or Excel?
  18. it was installed on my C:\NISSAN folder and the DVD is set to point to D:\
  19. got a japanese Nissan FAST DVD installed it and when I clicked on nissan fast button it gave me parameter incorrect. any tips how to install this thing on an XP?
  20. Anyone successfully install Nissan FAST on their XP? I tried mine which should have V35 parts in it - but it gave me an error: parameter in correct or something
  21. HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE! give me none no colour a.k.a. none 0 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  22. Chris - how much you're payin' Stephen Thorpe to be your sidekick? I'm seeing a post trend here... :-)

    Endangered Specs

Here we go - the first resistance against evolution LOL Probably in 15-20 years of time anyone with a car with wing mirror will be labeled a freak - if all new cars don't have wing mirrors anymore by that time. I think looking weird is just a matter of subjective taste of an era.
  24. you probably have too much 'loud pedal' fun with it or drive it most of the time sitting in traffic jam. with gentle , nanna style driving to and from work in daily traffic jam, I made 13.1 to 13.3ltr/100km average or around 7.64~7.5 km/ltr so your figure isn't awfully too bad. over the quiet Xmas & NY period I made 12.9ltr/100km or around 7.75 km/ltr So yours 7.8km/ltr that is 12.8 ltr/100km - MUCH BETTER ECONOMY THAN MINE! what are you complaining about? How to read original (non-Xanavi translated to english) consumption figure (the Japanese way): The higher the number, the better the fuel economy. It is in km/ltr. more kms per each litre of petrol = better fuel economy. how to read Xanavi translated to english consumption figure (the Australian way): The lower the number, the better the fuel economy. translated software version is now in ltr/100km. less litre used for each 100km travel = better fuel economy.
  25. I cannot promise 2005 version will be the same price as 01-04 version as price is not determined by me. Will have to check again with Andy after it's available, as Andy is the main contact point with the development company.
