  1. Looks like I'm in
  2. I had like 6-8 weeks before, no issues... and that is on my old R33 which at that time had a 10 yr old battery original from japan. if you're worried, yeah just disconnect the battery. I would close all window, pop bonnet, close all doors, lock it, and disconnect the battery, and leave the boot lid down so you can lift it back up without having to worry about the window glass gets clipped over the top by opening the door without power. it's better than leaving the window open for spiders, etc to crawl into your car while you're away 4 weeks. you'd be amazed how fast they can colonise your interior in a day or 2, let alone 4 weeks.
  3. did they accidentally busted the sensors or something doing that?
  4. I read somewhere dot 5.1 absorps moisture quicker than dot 4, as it's more for motorsport/performance where it's expected to be flushed/replace a lot more often than dot 4 that said i haven't replaced mine since april :-o
  5. had my brakes bleed by nissan dealer yesterday during the 60k km service. slightly better. still feel a little bit soft, although according to them wouldn't cause an issue. perhaps time for a set of braided brake lines?
  6. that is indeed good news... would be great if there's a contact point for each state, unless you wanna fly around on a 'road tour'
  7. spotted 2 V35 today! 1. morning @ moore st footscray around 7:50am - white v35 coupe with a set of chromies 2. evening @ hopkins st footscray turning from moore towards city around 6pm - silver v35 coupe
  8. oh my, have the car's special trans fluid been changed? the fluid cost about $1k excl labour, and if that doesn't work, wish u luck cos a new cvt-8 trans will cost probably over $15k. probably the cost of your car in the 1st place
  9. spotted black 250GT sedan this afternoon on dynon/hopkins heading towards barkly st footscray... i looked @ the driver - no one i knew - then i noticed he looked at me and he quickly pretend he didn't see me.... looked straight and drove off... what the...
  10. cant be bothered searching it again, check your pm, from this morning
  11. see the link I pm'ed you earlier? upgrading bigger caliper without upgrading master cylinder might be the culprit to 'soft' pedal feel, that is if you have tried bleeding the brake system and flushing/changing the fluid with new brake fluids
  12. Anyone has Nissan FAST? If you do, can you check whether any parts of the brake master cylinder differs between the brembo (track) & non-brembo models? Thank you
  13. I'd guess the extra 2 seats are 'jump seats' facing backwards with lap seatbelts only?
  14. have the sedans been offered in any 370gt trim? or just coupes?
  15. and another 'killer' question is: is it a 7 seater?
  16. it's gotta be in 100% UNMODIFIED condition though... how would it handle with no boost increase, and stock shock & springs?
  17. my gosh, what happen to you? planning to have triplets?
  18. Mmm. actually my wife started to hint to consider 7 seater.... now, not even your maxima can come to the rescue of that..
  19. B J, check your pm and don't reply here Admin, I thought this old thread supposed to be locked? Isn't that why you asked me to create a new thread?
  20. well I can't afford to burn money by changing car every 2-3 months :-) not with a mortgage and a toddler growing up. I would have to stick with v for a few years considering sports luxury is250 is still over $45k these days for a good example. and coming from a 230rwkw r33 turbo, i needed a stepping stone down the power ladder, cos i'd definitely would die of boredom if I get something less than stock r33 power all of a sudden :-) V fits the bill, power wise (206kw not bad), half the price of is250 sports luxury back in 2007, engine is non-turbo so I don't get tempted to spend money in the engine bay, and in a few years when I decided to step down the power ladder again and can afford to buy a more common shopping trolley euros/luxury with sub-150kw I might just be very content, cos I have been seasoned with such a 'slow' car.
  21. no they're not. cat eye is just a night visual aid - u have to choose your lane early on WG before the lines become continuous under the new law...
  22. so u'd rather have a dodgy $60 job than a proper $120, only to have to come back 2 or 3 times which is gonna cost $180 down the track?
  23. I'm sure it is but I've seen people selling their IS250 as 2.5ltr is just not enough grunt and moved to V35 or something else... Don't get me wrong I was strongly considering the IS250 before buying the V35.... problem is I won't settle any less than Sports Luxury variant and last year they were all asking $60k for even a 2nd hand ones. $60k vs $30k-ish V35 - I will take V35 any day...
