  1. Went all the way through Camperdown at 8.10am on Parra Rd and didn't see shit Apparently they're using Black Territories as well>?
  2. 1) Atmo BOV: Most times it's easier to stick a stock BOV in there. I'd love to make up a little pipe that makes my SSQV plumb back, but it just seems harder than it's worth, so back to stock it is.' 2) Ride height is an iffy one. But good that you got clear of that; you're absolutely right re: speedbumps unless you're being full hektik sideways. 3) Not sure about FMIC, sorry 4) If it's enclosed then RTA will pass it, but DECC/EPA will rape it (what I've heard, not from experience... again, sorry) 5) Not meeting standards? In which way? Did he provide a reason or just went "nah i don't like the look of that"? If it's quieter than the legal limit, it should be fine... I don't know how much it affects emissions though; if you've got the stock cat on there I'd think it should be sweet. Basically emissions can just mean noise as well; he might have just thought your car was too loud... because we all know Harley Davidson's are the quietest things on the road but they're still legal *rolls eyes*
  3. Homercles cares not for beans! Thanks heaps... That's gorgeous *fapfapfap*
  4. Unfortunately, in the end when you come down to it, everyone's a tightass. If they can do something that will save them money, they will. Having said that: Next rims I buy will be LM-GT4s, and NOT the knockoffs. Gimme Rays goodness any day.
  5. Do we have definitive photographers for the day? If so, can we pay them and get all the shots of our cars (hopefully lots) in RAW format or NEF or whatever, sent on a DVD? Would love gorgeous hi-res shots for me to fiddle with to my heart's content...
  6. Ugh, was on train and it cut my reply off. They're in Punchbowl, and do damn good work. I know of a few people that have taken their rims there, and have said the work is great.
  7. Magman
  8. *raises eyebrows* do want? then get some GT4s then im on the way to a full set white only kthx
  9. Absolutely agree with you Tony. Small slipups should have some form of lenience. Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest after reading about S10 on that site regarding drink driving. There should be some kind of "if you are caught drink driving do NOT try and plead S10 because you'll get assraped and you're an idiot for doing it" in big font at the top of that page. No sympathy.
  10. +1 for Calsonic Blue and white rims. Mine's not Calsonic, nor a 32GTR... but still
  11. Oh.... that last photo made me all tingly inside (DOF shot)... Hires plz?
  12. Hmm.. having read that, that annoys me. It kinda says to someone reading it, oh, you got done for midrange drink driving? That's fine, we'll go for S10. No, f**k you (not you, Tony, the people who wanna try for that). Drink driving should be slammed; it's a very deliberate act. You've been drinking? Don't drive. Simple as that. Speeding or in this case the bus lane can be a lapse of judgement or being unfamiliar with the area... </tanty rant> EDIT:: Having said that, when I got booked for speeding I copped it sweet cause I knew I was in the wrong. Although mine was a bit more than just accidentally drifting 5km/h or so over the limit. Hope it goes well for you siddr.
  13. When I finally get out there I don't expect faster than 1.30 at first ;P
  14. i'll let you stroke them? heh some of my "caps" (the black bit the kinda beigy thingy screws onto) are actually cracked a bit, just force holding them on. might get some plastic welding done. you don't notice it when they're on, but it's always at the back of my mind.... having heard your tale of woe, i'm totally taking them off before i do a wakey day
  15. Juz, I got the BC Racing from JustJap; I know they're not perfect or "race" coilovers, but they're pretty nice for the road. Although I'm a bit biased; I had SLAMMED D2's, that were paaiiiiiiiinful. Next meetup I'll have to take you for a quick run so you can see how they feel.
  16. +1. subtle, smooth, and slammed (though still legal cause you don't want hassle from the po po). I know it might seem silly, but if you can pick up a nice set of 32gtr seats for a good price... Muuuuuch comfier (I've found).
  17. Only problem is finding a bar without a massive hole for intercooler...
  18. I've tried some sealants, nothing seems to be working though... So I think I'll just splash. Cause that's a damn nice price, even including postage from Japan. As for those rims: Oops; kinda scrolled past that a bit too quick.
  19. Hoisted by my own petard! You know what I meant speedING
  20. oh and also they have those annoying hairline cracks that from straight on you can't see, but go at an angle and BAM sorry to hijack, juz
  21. True, speed doesn't kill, rapid deceleration does... I believe there was an image about that... Buh, can't find it on google at the moment. Either way; crashes don't necessarily indicate speed.
  22. Hah I'll have a look now. I'm doing the whole sanding back to up to 3000 grit and polish every 2 months or so; my car is left outside all week, so it kinda ends up just going shit again. I'll have to invest in a good car cover or something... Holy poop, not bad; 129USD... WATCHED! Also: While I'm all for sticking with original, I know Juz is on his L's, and might not have enough money to be buying the real deal on wheels. Personally, I love my Rays LM-GT3's and wouldn't trade them for the world, I just know how unaffordable they are for some people. Definitely a good set of coilovers and swaybars though! They'll make the car feel brand new in terms of cornering.
  23. Can you take a photo of what it looks like when you've pulled the horn button out? Generally it's a single wire that connects to a lug on the horn button itself to the metal inside of the boss-kit thingy... Gawd, lost for words tonight.
  24. Juz, I'm running 18x9 with +26 offset. A bigger offset would mean that the wheel sits further inside the car; as it is, running 255/35/18's, I have the possibility of scrubbage on a big dip, so +36 would be better as the tyre sits more under the car, and away from the lip. I suggest GTR skirts and rear pods, cause they're sleek and subtle, and as for front bar, nothing too ostentatious. I originally had the GTR bar, but now running Top Secret... You know how it looks Bronze would be good... I'd stick with 5 or 6 spoke, I do quite like the RSGT's from Ozzy Tyres though... http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/Content_Common...47CAA7&pg=6 In the middle there. I rang a bit ago for someone I know; for a set of 18's, they're after $1800 or so including (shitty) tyres. To do that, you'd need to do the stud conversion from 4 to 5 stud. A few of those other things on your list I've got; if you want I'll take some photos on the weekend and shoot them your way. Edit:: Shhhh, Eps. Shhhh *pats* He's a youngin, so he's still learning
