  1. Very similar? Or the same? Or has no one actually had them in their hand to check?
  2. So just replace everything with nolathane?
  3. little high isn't it? I was factoring in 130-140 depending on condition?
  4. Depends what ECU you're running. I'm looking at Willall or Garage 7 to do an Emanage. Willall said you'd get change from $800 for install and tune of an Emanage.
  5. Missed out on the HPs, will try again tomorrow anyway. Apparently theyre porting gingerbread to it, so it won't be completely useless. Still, I already have an ipad, so no real point.
  6. Hey Igor, what needs to be looked at? I service mine myself, but it's a bit easier for me since I have access to a hoist and my dad's a mechanic, can give me a hand with tricky stuff. I think Mike was getting his looked after by Morpowa.
  7. Isn't Mike Rann banning these cruises?
  8. Apparently they're a pain to rezip and resecure, so we used wire. Not too difficult really, just have to be patient threading the wire through. Yep, big collection: Rotors, braided lines, shift kit, BCs, wireless reverse camera being the main stuff. Also got pads, adjustable rear toe arms and Informeter which still haven't made it in. Looking forward to getting it all installed
  9. You don't need to be brave. It isn't too difficult, just have to be patient... Otherwise get your mate to do it. That's easier!
  10. I have the standard one in the dash, and the 7" pop out one in the headunit. Plus two in the headrests. Headrest screens aren't that hard, but I sucked at it. Brad was running wire through the seat backs, because there is a void in there, but I sucked at getting the wire through the seat, because there's the metal frame you have to work around. You need patience to do it, and I don't have enough
  11. Yep not even considering anything DOT 5. But is amazing the differences in temp and price between DOT 4 fluids. As far as I can tell, Motul do a DOT 5.1, but even the high temp AP, Motul, etc are DOT 4. But like I said, huge differences in temps, and no idea when you need what temp.
  12. I attempted to help Brad install my headrest monitors, we got them all in and got the headunit fixed up. Now we have 4 screens running for our trip over to Melbourne for Gymkhana Brake rotors were finished and sent Friday, so just waiting for them to arrive and fit up. Waiting for lots to arrive at the moment...
  13. no, no you cant. Theres about 3mm gap without the spacer. What is the capacity of our braking systems? Trying to work out how much fluid I need... Also, opening a can of worms, how do you know what temp brake fluid you need? Searching tells me everyone uses a variety, or doesnt talk about it, with Motul RBF600 the most popular. But when I was at Autobarn today, it was 3-4 times the price of the Performance DOT 4 alternatives from a variety of players. As far as I can tell theres about 30-50 degrees difference in dry boiling points (270-320ish).
  14. Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'm going to go with an upgrade to the stock system for now. At first I was just looking for a simple upgrade to the stock setup, and didn't want to bugger around with getting different setups engineered. Now that we're looking at doing more track days, hillclimbs, etc, the stock system may not be good enough, but it will be interesting viewing for people now that we're shooting it all for the web site. I can already see you being right mystery_kid, but we'll bake the HPXs now that I've got them before switching to the A1RMs. So the upgrade for now is a set of DBA 4000 series rotors in the new Clubspec T3 design, which we will be evaluating for DBA, the QFM HPX pads and a set of Stoptech braided lines. Still trying to get my head around brake fluids, but I think it'll either be the Valvoline Performance DOT4 or the Motul RBF600. Depending on how this setup goes we may move to 350Z/GTR Brembos Alex, but it'll be a worthwhile exercise either way I think, now that we're doing some evaluation work and some write ups/videos on what we learn.
  15. Clean your intercooler out, or buy a new one from Cam, and see if the issue continues? Ive got nothing, although i know there was somewhere other than the pcv that a catch can is recommended for...
  16. No I meant don't buy specialised HIDs, get a conversion kit. Epically cheaper. So you're going to modify the standard lamps and retain the lenses? Put in a HID kit or something?
  17. Exactly why mine aren't mounted up yet. I'm thinking I may have to use the existing brackets and weld something onto them to mount the new spotty to. I need to get more active about that because I want them in for the drive to Melbourne. Don't buy HID lights though, they're around the $1k mark for decent ones in that size. I got a pair of standard Narva Compac 100s for ~$70, plus a HID conversion kit on eBay for ~$70. Win. I think the best way is to take the standard mounts off the spot light, bolt them into the bumper, then measure up and weld some brackets in between to mount the light onto. You can mount them on the bumper (I think), but I don't think it'd be great, as they'd move around too much.
  18. I'll keep you in mind next weekend when I replace mine with spot lights!
  19. Surely you need injectors and fuel pump to get the most out of it?
  20. That listing says RRP$149, but they're selling it for $154... ebay fail.
  21. Yeah I'm interested in the Race Radiators thing, keep us posted. $700 isn't bad if the Koyo is going to cost Jase $600. That said I'll probably still run past Tonkins and see what they say though.
  22. You must have got just japs last set aaron. Now its a week wait, so it may as well be 10 days and $100 cheaper.
  23. How much for the custom job?
  24. I don't think they'll turn up in time
  25. For the rad? Would you still run a dedicated trans cooler? I take it that's custom.
