Or you can just contact Jesse Streeter and ask him to bid for you. Easier because he does everything, and seems cheaper too.

M35 Instrument Cluster Removal
bigkevracer replied to ironpaw's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Good idea. I wound the clock back on mine about 14k when I put the new dash in, but I'm thinking if I keep the original it should be ok when I sell it, as I can show them k's on both if necessary. The car does look its age though, doesn't look thrashed, so I'm sure it's fine. Just need to recover the steering wheel. -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?

Thanks to my new best friends at DBA, I have a new set of DBA 4000 Clubspec T3 brake rotors on their way, and thanks to Jethro I've got an idea of where to get some decent braided lines from. Combine all that with some HPX pads and some decent brake fluid, and it should be a pretty decent braking package without having to worry about getting calipers engineered. -
Jethro can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think is point was why is there a price difference between the US ebay one and the one in the OP. There's probably a very good reason for this that I have no idea about... something missing no doubt.
-
I think the point Aaron was that in the OP it's $500 for an exchange VB and shift kit, and on ebay they're about $310 delivered.
-
AFAIK Federal 595 doesn't have great wet weather grip. I'm looking at the new Hankooks when I get my tires sorted, or maybe Silverstones, but only heard good things about the KU31s. Aaron does love his Pirellis too...

I thought the V35 auto ones were? Buy Ironpaws. His wife will kill him and scrap his car shortly! -
If you're selling them when the new ones come let me know. Set of off road tyres might be useful for the occasional rally, just not sure I want the stone chips!
-
Did you get the BCs though? And she still won't let you lower it? How about you just adjust it down anyway... she probably won't even be able to tell!
-
I went for a ride in Aarons, but didn't get to drive. It felt a lot better than mine, but I'd imagine it'd feel even better when you're driving. I'd be interested to see how the Trans Go version compares to the RVO version Aaron has. I think the RVO one was cheaper too wasn't it?

Yep not happy. Not holding my breath about it turning up now. Oh well. Won't be going in for a while anyway. Thinking it's not really worth putting in and getting tuned up till I do injectors and fuel pump. So many mods, so little time and money Did you get some foggies Dale? -

lol shut up! It's in, just not properly. There's just about a 1cm gap behind it. Apparently my Emanage has been resent today. According to the guy I bought it off, he forgot to put the postcode on it, which I think is code for he got the ebay feedback, Paypal claim, and realised I'd found his SAU account and reported him, so he thought he'd finally send it three weeks after he said he'd sent it, and 5 weeks after I paid for it! -

Spec doc was stupidly expensive when I looked at it, but it is nice. Just do a google search for Spec Doc, they have photos on their web site. Fat32 isn't more limiting, as Fat32 limits file size, not sure it limits partition size? -

Excellent. I'll be able to get mine in properly! -
HKS do a plug in harness for the F0con, so I'm not sure you need to pay extra to fit it. Hunt around, get one cheaper, then get him to tune it? Tuning cost doesn't seem excessive IMHO, but $1500 for the F-con IS seems astronomical compared to the $300 Cam quoted.

Bit of a shame we can't give each other a well deserved ribbing without worrying about SAPOL... The good thing about keeping the meet point out of the thread I guess, but in general we're a well behaved bunch that enjoy their cars and enjoy giving each other shit. If we can't do that without worrying about SAPOL maybe we need a private members only area? I'm guessing this has only come up OLDS because you've got experience running a lot of cruises and you know what SAPOL can be like, I just find the whole thing ridiculous and unnecessary. /end rant Oh and I'm keen for Mallala or whatever. Looking at putting a couple of things together shortly for Pure Motorsport, so might be getting the car out a bit more.

And it's the relay UNDER the airbox for the 4WD, not the ones next to it, isn't it Brad Something for the "What haven't you done to your Stagea" pile, I haven't ordered my BCs because Just Jap haven't got any stock. 7 day wait at this stage, which almost makes it worth going to Street to Track. -
Who you calling bent?! All good fun, look forward to the cruise. And bring on Mallala!

Pretty much right. Also the ECU controls the gearbox, throttle and accessories, so you can't just ditch it for a standalone without going to a cable throttle like Scotty has tried. AFAIK the VQ25DET was only used in the NM35, so people aren't in a mad rush to develop piggy backs etc for them. I'm convinced that Haltech would be a better choice... if it was guaranteed to work. But there are no guarantees, so go with what you know works!

The most important thing is to run one which is Australian Standards approved, and most of those are Australian made. AS alarms are insurance approved. And I figure if someone REALLY wants your car, they're getting it no matter what alarm you have fitted. Which is when you need your insurance With all the imports that have been going missing lately in Adelaide I'm paranoid and run the alarm with immobiliser and Club lock. Steal that bitches!

Tv Tuners Once Again - The New Asuka
bigkevracer replied to Commsman's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I like my setup for iPod, just using a USB cable direct to the deck. Works well! Didn't get a chance to check the iPhone stuff today but sounds like you don't need to now -
The tuner I was going to use was recommending this: http://www.haltech.com.au/index.php/product/platinum-sprint-series/platinum-sprint-500 Can't imagine your bloke recommending any different for $2.5k, but that is $1.5k worth of setup and tuning... Leon, isn't the 1000cc injectors really only so you've got headway later on, particularly for E85? I can't imagine they'd be necessary for my short term setup, but long term they should be, and when E85 becomes more common in SA I'll go that way. And as Andy said, some good suspension and breaking mods; set of BCs, Whiteline sway bars from Daleo, and either some decent pads and slotted rotors, 350Z Track Brembos or R32 GTR Brembos.
-
That would make sense, it did look kind of weird. Where did you get your 1000cc injectors from Scotty? Were they plug and play (with the exception of your nuclear engineering upgrade for the cradle and fuel lines)?
