  1. Would you be interesed in a fairly modded 32 GTS4?
  2. Yeah mate.. I picked up an rb25de with NVCS with ECU with 120,000 odd km for $1100 odd. Dont buy an engine with that many km. Can I ask what your gonna be using it for? Engine swap? Sell your old engine and get back some money for your new one.
  3. haha.. dont jinx it! Touch wood mate!.. At the top of our list is bringing the cars home under their own steam
  4. Sounds awesome! Ideas on dates? Depends when it is and we will try be in Tasmania around that date. Should go for a drive then a beer.
  5. Down the coast, up the mountains.
  6. thats why we are splitting with he passenger..
  7. Hey Lads and Lasses! Well, to cut a long story short. At the pub. X amount of beers later. We began planning a road trip from Sydney to Tasmania looking to drive the best driving roads the East Coast has to offer. 3 cars, 6 people. (12A Mazda Capella, Rb25 R32, 4G63 VR4) We are taking a little more than 2 weeks in January to give my mate enough time to finish a rotory conversion, give me time to finish a couple of projects and the third mate time to change a head gasket. THe obvious one is all the Targa roads. But where/what are these roads? Where is there to drive to? We are looking for mountain passes, coast roads etc. Where are the common places where people gather to meet and drive to? We want to meet people, experince the scene, drive some different roads etc. So where are the popular places to go for a drive to? Cruise or spirited drive? Where to sleep? Any good places to go camping? We are sleeping where we can find to save money on accomodation. Where is there to go out to? Where is there to go get a good beer? Pub or clubs. Tips on where to go and what kind of music/people there are. We are all 20 so where would you guys recommend to go? What will I need? I am guessing many of you guys have gone for a road trip. Is there any tips you guys can give on what to bring? Some helpful hints to do some ghetto mods/repairs on the side of the road? Yes yes.. there will be many many cable ties (plastic and metal) and duct tape. Oh!.. And by the way, do we need to pre-book the boat thing to Tasmania? where do we do that? Any ideas/tips/advice you guys can give please chip in guys! Thanks guys!

The obvious VIC driving road is Great Ocean Road. This may be a stupid question. But are there any quite beaches in VIC? Nothing like being woken up by the sun rising hung over as balls Where is there to go out to? Where is there to go get a good beer? Pub or clubs. 9. cheers mate. I think I know the place your talkin about too.. I work in Granville.. Champion.
  10. Taken from another thread I wrote on: You know what? I’m going to play devils advocate. Its possible to let CERTAIN P platers drive turbo cars. After nearly 4 years of driving I have never had an accident. Never put a car into anything it shouldnt be. I frequently drive dads RB25DET (22o odd kw) R32. A 150kw volvo. People need to take the necessary precautions to LEARN HOW TO DRIVE the car – defensive driver courses, skid pan days, track days – Im sure his parents will help chip to better educate their children as a driver and not be a deadshit on the road. People ned to realise that its not the car that makes the driver, it’s the driver that makes the car. He isn’t any better a driver after buying a GTR than he was with his old car. People jump into high performance cars and think "Im driving a sports car so Im a good driver because Im driving a good car and it will take care of me". People's focus must be on becoming a better driver and bettering his skills, not driving fast. There is no such thing as an un-skilled fast driver. Of course people will want to give it a squirt. But this is when control must come in. Track racing only. No street hoonism! Or else they can wave goodbye to their car, their licence, get slapped with a MASSIVE fine (thousands of dollars) and even face jail time. Or (god forbid) have to live for the rest of their lives with the notion they have killed someone. Unless you can honestly say 100% that he can control himself behind the wheel of a high perfomance import and not be a wanker and make the sacrifices that need to be made, then don’t bother. It will end bad for everyone with massive repercussions for the driver, for the modified community, for P platers and (god forbid) an innocent person/s and family. Just because someone is young, that does not mean they are all idiots. We all were/are young. Some people just have their head screwed on. So question is, do most people have their head screwed on? Or are people in it for the "street cred", the race scene and to "prove" themselfs? Are they going to be thrashing around town because they have an import? Its far more impressive to see a good driver that can control themselfs than a dickhead. I too am on my greens and will drive dads 220kw rb25det 32. I know the tempations. I know the feeling you get. You think your god. You continuously want to feel boost and hear the turbo spool up, in ever gear. Fly through 1st, thats too quick, into second and you want to go for 3rd and by the time you realise it your doing 140km/h. You feel superior than everyone on the road. But its not you. Its the car. You have to be VERY down to Earth. You have to be focused on keeping your licence, life and car. You have to realise that ANYTHING can happen. And more often than not, it happens when you least expect it. Before you do ANYTHING, he has to think, "what could go wrong? What are the negative outcomes?". The answer to both of these questions is NEVER "nothing". Thats my 2cents.. I think its possible.. but its a very VERY VERY long shot. There are too many wankers that will let everyone with their heads screwed on. P platers need to focus on bettering their driving skills to become a better driver, improve their skills, technique and learn their car. Truth is. There are not enough P platers to lift the ban. Although, I remeber reading in an Autosalon Magazine that a full year after the ban was placed the percentage of P platers that died acctually increased. But what ever. Im almost off my greens, I have done my time.
  11. Yeah Vikz!.. Im not usually a fan of chrome.. but that looks PHAT!
  12. any chance of someone scanning the pages?
  13. And tip.. write more about it Manual? Kms? condition? More pics etc.
  14. Want to get them out of here! Open to offers.. Throw me out one!
  15. As above Also. Double check all seals/gaskets/nuts and bolts. Exhaust leaks can often lead to problems like this
  16. 1)Am i able to rev the engine to say 5000revs a few times a week without harming engine. (Will get services done every 5000km etc) Absolutely not a problem! My car sees that several times a week. Perhaps more.. depends if I decide to go for a spirited drive or not. As long as there is regular maintanence performed and there isnt any pre-existing mechanical problems with the engine than its absolutely not a problem 2)Looking for some upgrades when I get the car. How much would better suspension set me back. Well what are you looking at getting? Best bang for buck in terms of suspention is sway bars. These will stiffen the chassis up, lessen body roll through corners and (if you buy the adjustable ones) let you change the mount of under/oversteer the car exhibits. These will set you back $400 odd. Front strut bar is almost a must! R34's come stock with them. Rear strut bur is not essential as there isnt a massive gain to be had. From there you can get: New springs and Shocks (dunno price)/Coilovers (1200+ new - $1500 for a good set) - I suggest this only if you intend doing track days or heavy mountain road driving New bushes - $100-$200 gives a more direct steering feel and steering responce I have a feeling I missed something Not really a suspention mod, but to get the best out of your suspention I highly recomend a good driving seat. 3)Would i get any extra KW aftergetting extractors and Exaust installed. How much will i be looking to spend. Extractors - $350-$400 odd Exhaust - $300 odd (second hand) $600 (new) Extra KW? dont bother. not much. You will gain some responce and better exhaust note though 4)How hard is it to find parts for this car e.g. timing belts, brake pads etc very easy. Nothing like cold beers while working on the car Enjoy it
  17. I think I know what your talking about! At around 100km/h+ there is a certain accelerator position that I cant keep the pedal at or else it starts to vibrate. If I go past or before the certain position the vibration stops. Problem is that BEFORE the certain pedal point, the car decelerates. If it push the pedal PAST the vibration point it begins to accelerate. So the certain point is my constant speed. So yes, I am getting what your describing. Question is; Roughly how much and how long to get the shaft balanced?
  18. Hey kids! Have any of you guys had an experince with tailshaft places? I need my shaft balanced. Or does it? Help me diagnose Any ideas on how much its going to cost? How long to its going to take? Preferably near hornsby/Parra but willing to drive thnks in advance guys! Cheers, Cris
  19. hey!.. who said 4 doors isn't as good or better than 2!?!
  20. Re hashing an old thread.. I have what Iam suspecting is an unbalanced tailshaft. I have changed the driveshaft bearing. The drive line shudders and vibrates at low RPM. At idle when the clutch is in its quite as a mouse. When I let the clutch out I head a large "thud" (clutch) then a "whiring" noise. Now.. my questions are: 1) Roughly how much does it cost to balance a tailshaft? (any dieas in Syd?) 2) If I get a single peice shaft do I just slap it in or do I need to balance it once on the car? 3) There a diffrence between GTST and GTS4's tail shafts? Cheers guys!
  21. sorry bud.. ended up pickin up a set of GTR calipers with DBA4000 disks last night..
