  1. Changed wheels or tyres recently? Bleed the ATTESSA system.. air boubles in the sytem?
  2. Under braking.. the force of the wheels slowing down Via braking) is greater than the force of ineria and gravity acting on the the flywheel to slow it down.. So the force of the brakes slowing the the car and hence the engine, as it is in gear, will over come the force of the flywheel attempting to slow the engine down.. And besides.. its easier to stop/slow down a rotating object of less mass than one with more.
  3. meh.. if engine blows.. It's just a bigger insentive to finish my other engine lol.. Im quite worried about that corner.. My mate may be comming in his Mazda Capella (Piston Rx2).. and I think Ill be telling him about that too
  4. +1 for 4doors.. they are easier to hold drifts too..
  5. Hey mate.. Just got your pm... Put me down for a Temp Gauge in Celcious Pm sent about colours. Cheers..
  6. I know its random but does Aust get the watered down version of the Japnsese R35? Because then your answere is clear, import.
  7. Bahahahahha! The only thing your going to be doing with steel V10 in a 32 is understeering.. /subscribed

  12. lol.. I just watched some bloke spin at 160 odd km/h.. Wise words.. What engine/mods? Cheers
  13. Hey guys! Im gonna be going my first trackday next weekend. Its going to be at Wakefield Park NSW. And Im just curious to see what time I should be aiming for. Im very goal driven (parden the pun) so I like something to aim for. Car: R32 GTS4 4door Engine: RB25DE Relevant Mods: Extractors Front pipe Cat back HD Clutch Polyurethane front bushes HSD HR coilovers Front and rear strut bar GTR Bonnet (-10kg) Fixed back bucket (-10kg) Stripping: Spare wheel Passenger seat Back seat Random things Wheels + Tyres: R33 GTST's with Kumho V700's (most likely) (perhaps) R32 GTR's with Toyo Ra1's Experience: No track experience but many hours mountain road driving. Now I have seen Rb25DET powered cars are usually running just less than the 1:15 mark. I'd like under 1:20. I think it’s a fairly low starting point. Could I aim a little lower? Has anyone in 25DE run at Wakie? What kind of time did you run? Any tips for being quick around Wakie? Any pointers for the track would be awesome! Im assuming the 2nd (sharp) right hander after the pit straight is quite tough on the brakes. Should I be looking into higher temp pads/fluids? Thanks in advance guys! Any imput would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Cris
  14. Do you do track days/seriously hard mountain driving? I wouldnt recomment camber kits unless your doing this. But as Hamish said.. we need to know what you have to know what you need/dont need
  15. Slow is smooth.. smooth is fast.. Use the warm up laps to get into the rhythm.. start off slower with the focus on being smooth. Find the limit by steping over it. A race track has run off areas for a reason..
  16. Hey lads and lasses.. Im lookin for a set of semi slicks in NSW. Bathurst or Syd area pref. 205-225 in 16's Preferably lots of meat left on them. Willing to pick up or meet halfway depending on where you are. SMS anytime (I may be in class) on 0403491735 Or PM. Money waiting..
  17. Width? Brand? Offset? Tyre? Size? Where is Werribee? and p.s.. My name is Cris without an H too!.. lol.. first person i have met!
  18. +1 (I realise its not from the 70's.. its only a few yers off.. and its the opposite of a the sharp lines the 70's had.. but it still needs a mention..)
  19. The amount of hours spent working ont his car must be herendus! So far all the alignment is looking awesome! Amazing work by the garage! Only cirticism is that the rear brake light covers dont seem to be aligned properly.. the S shaped bit that sits with the back of the "trunk".. Habe a look at the pics on this page then the way they sit on the matte black 43 below it.. I suppose its easy to comment.. But in all seriousness.. thats an awesome build with awesome work..
  20. It looks the sex with the twin 5 spokes! Should of come with those from factory!
  21. Another down point of lightened flywheels is that you will get less engine brake when chaning down gears..
  22. Four door love..
  23. They are about $400 odd. The benefits is that the engine will rev out quicker as there is less unsprung mass bearing down upon the engine.. Same thing goes for lightened drive shafts. Down side off lightened flywheels is that its harder to get the car off the line quickly and is easier to stall. Another down side is that a lightened flywheel can't cope with high temperatures and can develop stress fractures and this can transfer over to the clutch. In terms of weight saving.. how hardcore do you wanna go? On top of what DR180 said.. you can also remove; Sound deadening Power steering Air con power windows audio items fibreglass quarter panels fixed back carbonfiber/kevlar/fiberglass race seats choped reo bars
