end.
Awesome coilover!
Not many poeple use it.. so no one will vouch for it but me.. just thought id throw it on there..
food for thought..
strut bars..
HICAS lock bar + removal of HICAS system..
If its a GTS.. I wont really bother too much with Tension Rods, Upper Mount's and Tie Rod & End.. put that money into brakes..
Or 5 stud conversion.. You will see much better lap times if you invest that money into brakes..
NA's have terrible brakes from stock.. a set of GTSt - if not GTR disks and callipars would be a very good idea!
Id say stick with a good set of coilovers (highly recommend HSD's) for the moment and the rest of the money on brakes..
GTR callipers front and rear with good pads..
Slotted and drilled disks..
Braided brake lines only if their cheap through a GB of sorts or else its not worth it.
or.. for 2K the Just Jap package mentioned above.. you will also want to up grade the rears too.. (GTR's and disks should do)
That way you have a good brake pakage and least $1500 to spend wither on your 26 or loose weight off the car.
btw. If putting in a HICAS lock bar.. its worth going through with the effort and removing the HICAS system all together.. its about 40kg weight saving too..
I dont like the stock ones..
They dont mould around the hand as well as you would like them to..
Perhaps try a nice and cheap aftermarket nob first.. and if you still dont like it.. fnd a stock-o one?
On an old 84 berina with every panel a different colour.. all paint faded chipped, scratched, rusted..
[CYINVU] - See why I envy you..
And on a SLK55 AMG
[WAS:HIS] I.e.. she won her ex-husbands car after the devorce..
[sLO4DR] on a 4 door NA 32..
boost leak?
Reset the ECU? Certain mods (such as BOV's) can confuse the computer and make it run poorly..
something so small as plugs or cat are not going to make 20 - 50Kw diffrence..
When did you change your oil and oil filter last?
Has anyone worked on the car before it got sluggish?
I know of many stories of people leaving the rags blocking the turbo piping (so no sh*t falls in while your working on it) and forgetting to take them out before connecting the piping back together..
A/F ratios? how do they sit?
Silvia.. hands down..
Best pick of the lot!..
Quite light.. better than an NA Skyline.. Plus PLENTY of money for mods left over!
dont buy an 86.. because poeple who have 86 tend to be wankers who think their Tsuchia or Takumi and end up writing it off
Na skylines are crap.. small brakes.. 4 stud.. open diff (I believe)
NA 300ZX's: It takes alot of money to build a good NA car, let alone even more when you have to buy everything twice cos its a V6
MR2's are not a bad buy.. you dont see too many of them around.. being different is really important for me (i know.. haha.. i drive a 32) and you can get them to be an awesome car to drive!
Thats my 2c
Honestly boys and girls.. do the mods yourself..
Its all abut the late nights you spend under your car..
You learn things ten-fold!
and I garantee you they wont do as good of a job as you would..
Grinding down spaers is a biatch.. but if thats what it takes to get the job done right.. you wont care..
thats what I think so anyways.. built not baught..
If you are looking at Nismo suspention products and dont want coilovers, I can highly recomend Nismo Progressives!
Their awesome for the road..
Comes with Nismo progressive springs and shockies with 4 damper ajustable settings
The progressive spring means their good on bumps but when compressed enough they stiffen right up and hug the corners really really well!
And if you want to hit up a track or going for a spirited drive you can stiffen the damper right up aswell for a little more stiffness..
Highly reccomed these..
