hmmm... This is interesting and im curious too about the answere.. Whats your fuel pressure like? What fuel press regulator are you using? You didnt mention a surge tank? Does it have one?.. This could cause a drop in press through hardcornering if there isn't enough fuel. Stuid question.. but.. how much fuel did you have in the tank? Perhaps.. this is just speculation and I could be completely wrong.. but during the hard cornering the fuel has gone to one corner of the tank?.. Lost pressure within the system and the restart (and the leveling out of the fuel) has re-pressurised the system? Then that could also explain why it cuts out again during the next lap?.. not enough fuel in the tank? You say it has a new fuel tank?.. What tank?.. Because this could give you a wrong reading from the guage? Ill have a squiz through the workshop manual.. see if there is anything like this in the diagnosis.. Keep us updated.. im really interested in this now..

Compression Ratio? You can either leave it as a higher C.R and get the car retuned to accomodate (there are one or two people here on the forum that have done this). This would mean an aftermarket ECU set up of some sorts. SAFC? You could aslo swap pistons over for turbo rb20 items. You could try finding/machining a thicker head gasket? You will also need a new head gasket to put the engine back together again. Tap oil and coolent lines from block to turbo. I know RB25DE valve springs are softer than the 25DET items. Not sure about 20's Whats "blown" on RB20DET? Because you could quite easily build that engine and then do the whole conversion in one go and drop the new engine in one day. OR. instead of using DET parts to turbo your NA.. why dont you use NA parts to fix your turbo, this way there is far less parts that need to be moved.

Very high road noise.. Scary as F*ck in the wet.. High cost.. They wear down quite quickly.. But at the right time and place.. it all makes sence.. Their just brillient to drive on! Getting tyre press is also key in the way they handle. Pressures can be quite hard to get right aswell.. alot of trial and error..

You'll hear it.. It will reverberate within the box.. Its to do with frequencies.. I dont fully understand it.. but the volume will be amplified within the box once it reaches it resonating requency. Thats what I would think so anyways.. but i could be completely wrong.. Pods are quite loud anyways and I dont think you'll have any problems hearing it..

Go to repco -or of the sorts- and get urself a cylinder pressure tester. You stick it instead of a spark plug crank the engine over and it records the highest pressure. Compaire accross all 6 cyl. Compaire this to factory specs.. and see if its possible.

Engine looks like any other 15+ year old car.. Body looks in good condition.. Interior could use some TLC.. Perhaps just baught at a cheap auction price?
