  1. it turned out to be a dodgy airflow meter....... cheers for the info though. appreciated.
  2. i used to make a few in SA and i think autobarn Mile end (my old shop) still has the moulds, if not im sure we sent a couple to unique autosports and they moulded a couple.
  3. Is he or she ok? car was blocking two lanes on springy today with a garbo truck and two other cars. i hope it was not too serious.
  4. I will post up some with all the sponsors livery next week once it is all made public. Unfortunately it was bit of a rush to build as i only had a fortnights holiday to strip, mock-up 26, strip, paint then re-assemble..... but i am pretty happy with the way it turned out.
  5. ah your right checked my photos i got rejected by them in jan 2005.... maybe asking to may questions about the name change and why they would not increase their market share in aus....funny cause we were greying in more PFC's than the official importer... just one of thier bad business decisions i spose. Actually it was that autosalon HKS approached us and asked why Autobarn werent using thier acc as they needed to make up lost ground...... if aus didnt have to buy via the us im sure we would buy from em.... stoopid politics. The USA is Haemorrhaging so much that to make it viable all over seas sales go through the USA.... WTF?... our pricing instantly went up 20%.. no wonder everyone greys it in.
  6. i think the pulley offset is differrent, i have a near new R34 one (wit bracket) here but could not use it on the 26 beacuse it did not space out enough it was about 3.5mm to short and the belt was crooked, the R33 one and bracket worked fine. maybe the bracket is the differrence not the pump tho.
  7. they are feeding you shit with the engine light.... go into the hand controller or if you have access to it fc-edit and check all the switches/ sensor readings, i bet you find some are not connected. stagea and R34 are not identical pinout wise from memory. i would just get a pinout diagram of each and compare each pin, it should not be hard to find which pins are missing or ass about.
  8. yeah late R33 seies two and R34 require the internal ignition signal adapter and jumpe 8 set to 12v instead of 5v.
  9. please tell me LADA and TRABANT are still safe....
  10. nah, rb20 is better, no mods needed heapd and heaps of room.. i even set it up to use factory fan setup See below
  11. Creatd have a neo engine on the floor 03 93577663 ask for rob or danz
  12. i have fitted probaly 20 or so to R33 and about 6 to R34 gtt with Zero issues. The R34 NA one did not like the rpm signal though (it read 5340 at idle ) so i swapped it to cas sens and it was sweet. I probaly should have investigated the rpm wierdness but it was not needed.
  13. I just fitted a emanage ultimate for a guy who turboed his NA R34 and the pins were the same. Rpm didnt work though, no biggy i just used the cas signal. This might be what bought on 666DAN engine light?? so i cant imagine why NA 33 would be differrent.
  14. hahaha just saw this thread; here was my response. Travis Parnaby, I read with great interest your front page article “Racing against crime”. Having immersed myself in the car scene for over twenty years, with many visits back in the day to some of these “illegal” gatherings in Dandenong and Avalon I can assure you that a regular legal event would make all the difference, but the suggested bi annual events will do nothing. It is great to have the Easter Nats once a year but if one is to believe that a once or bi yearly event is enough to blow off steam they are sadly mistaken. The only way to make a substantial impact is to have either fortnightly or weekly meets after hours, which coincided with average Joes pay pack (thus, Fri.). This brings me to what I believe will be the biggest issue, will sandowns surrounding residents prefer a/h noise or street drags? These same people who complain about the illegal hoons will soon have to decide whether noise or safety is the bigger evil. Having tried to hold legal drift racing events at Sandown with zero success I eagerly await the response to regular legal drag events. We campaign a drift car (previously covered in the journal) in the national series and have seen the need for an eastern based Motorsport park for many years as many cannot afford the same luxury as us (the budget to travel to race legally). We find that the major hurdle to holding a legal event at Sandown is actually the same people who complain about their safety will then complain about the noise coming from Sandown.... a lose lose situation. I believe the real issues lie with the greater Dandenong council, its chief executives and whether they can decide which is more beneficial as a whole, listening to complaints of residents (who bought property near a raceway, their choice) or the calls regarding the more recent and disturbing events at Noble Park concerning overall public safety. I by no means condone the behaviour of these people at the noble park riots as it was deplorable behaviour but, we must remember that there were more than just the media has labelled “hoons” present. Many of those present from eye witness reports did not even make the legal driving age little own a car. It was just an excuse to hang out and cause trouble. By moving these congregations to a controlled environment like Sandown i am sure we can eliminate repeat occurrences. I must also add that I find it amusing that one of your readers took the time to write in and blame “immature’ hoons for this trouble and mention that it is car accessory and workshop owners fault that they behave like they do and that no matter where you move them too the riots will soon follow, this is utter rubbish. Ever since the second mass produced car was produced back in the early 1900’s both males and females have wanted to pair up to compete, it is human nature. No matter the state no matter the country people have ALWAYS taken it upon themselves to race illegally or legally. The recent Hoon legislation is proof of this, no matter the restrictions the racing will always prevail. Most of these guys do the work I their own garages, much like the way it was done 40-50 years ago. The amount of stories I have heard from generations of friends, family and complete strangers that used to cruise and race the boulevards of Geelong and Melbourne way back in the early 50’s would fill countless scrap books and the famous names now in positions of power would stun many, so wakeup this is not a new problem it is only now a matter of urgency because of numbers (there are more cars and more people due to population growth). This population growth has not been considered when providing adequate facilities to keep them under control, I cannot for the life of me remember a riot at any of the Calder off street meets or any major motoring event in any state I have attended or sponsored. 15. if HKS continues they way it is it may well be the next on the table......(fair few years off, but!) blame the USA for that though.
  16. The WRX was a flop in japan, the legacy is a far more impressive car and priced very close to the wrx in their home market.... boy racer cars have got a fairly strong "geek" stigma about them over the past few years hence poor jdm sales, the legacy though has been a great success and the amount of variants they get it suits most buyers except the very few who bought wrx's. this "geek" stigma is starting to wory even the big aftermarket companies like BLITZ and TRUST etc... being a geek is not good for sales....
  17. Would not want to experience a blower Back fire...... shrapnel for breakfast.
  18. amen...... that are not shafters like the current group.
  19. Nah i dont think they are, they might just be like me and have an account...... i dont use it but i have one
  20. haha what about products like JUN, EAGLE , SCAT, BUDDY CLUB, KEI OFFICE etc that get product made there.......
  21. unless you bought the PFC locally from access you have no warranty anyway....... any thing grey imported has no legal warranty obligation to the manufacturer.....
  22. i much prefer to use one that has an raised lip that interference fits into the removed plug in the back of the head, not just bolts too the back of it like yours.... may be worth a few more sessions on the cnc.
  23. Buy the R34 box and swap the front housings over, i just finished doing this 26 conversion with R34 box in S13 ( www.uras.com.au/democar.htm ), i hate pull clutches so used a R32 GTR housing but R33 GTst works exactly the same.
