  1. Interesting as we broke two OSGIKEN sets before lashing out on the PPG, that said we also had the PPG box built and serviced (every year) by them.
  2. we get a quantifyable differrence on cats car by adjusting the rear wing, by increasing angle of attack we can increase rear grip in the wet quite noticeably. These wings have effects at speeds from about 120kmh and up, most tracks in the da series now have entry speeds of 140-170kmh so they are far more than cosmetic. Rhys millens car is a perfect example of this he has published down force results for his drift wing on his GTO, i just used a mates digital pressure pads and fitted them under the boot rubber stops to get an idea of what worked and what didnt.
  3. yeah for sure, not your best shopping trolley upgrade
  4. yeah same situation faced them on most of the cars he drove.... under under under i could not believe the drop in lap times just from fitting canards...... crazy very good bang for buck.
  5. blitz power meter is better read reviews on sport compact and mod your car .com
  6. yeah you can do a whole car with no mess in around 30mins. DRY ICE FTW.... it comes off clean so can be painted str8 away too.
  7. I was looking at a few GTR's TAMADA (Tarzan JGTC) had setup for circuit attack and noticed they all ran a couple of mm toe out (rear), i have not tried this on GTR's has anyone here? He also insisted r32 GTR's run the largest canards to aid in turn-in. Very good read he ended up shaving like 2-3 secs off the best lap time by the end of testing.
  8. got a few sets of these to clear http://www.uras.com.au/yosonchi.html
  9. SR WINS HANDS DOWN. The setup works well but if was to build a serious track car i would not go down this path unless i moved engine back 15-20cm. The SR was far nicer to drive in anger around a circuit, as for drift it (RB) works well but we spent a lot of time setting up the suspension. Once the turbo's are on it will be quick but honestly a few more grand spent on the old SR (maybe a BC stroker kit) and it would match it (RB) fairly easy. I am toying with completing the conversion the way i had originally planned, by installing the double wishbone front suspenion into the S13. I just ran out of time.
  10. it has the correct pivot, what clutch? it looks like it needs the longer bearing carrier. there are two sizes.
  11. tell me about it.... they actually joke that there are more 33's in oz than japan nowadays.... and cant justify a new kit. But i will continue to pester them
  12. Im not sure who he talked to but i speak to GREDDY japan daily, and yes you are correct all technicians other than two (emanage and suspension) speak only japanese. In sales YUKO, RYO, LIU and Daniel speak fluent english but they will not take general calls or enquiries from the public. That said GREDDY brakes are designed to run off factory master cylinders, i have asked this question in the past when building the supra and onselling GTR parts in the past. i have the 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rear on the supra with std mastery and it is awesome.
  13. Take a look at this diagram on my site. http://www.uras.com.au/syohin/pineapple.html very basic explanation; The traction is altered by installing the pinapples in such a way that it alters the pinion angle and suspension geometry.
  14. the pivot is diff. did you use Rb25 pivot? and there are two diff thrust carriers it sounds like you may have fitted the short one and the clutch needs the long one. take a pic of the fork and the opening at full rest and at full extension and post it up, 2 secs to diagnose then.
  15. not a great idea as the whole point (for me anyway) is to have a matched set ie front and rear. mixing and matching nearly always ends up in a poor handling bucket.
  16. if your in vic i could have a gander with my datalogit, give you an idea whats up.
  17. ooh you will be walking funny for a while. royally shafted. i thought choppers were bad enough..... 5k would well and truly put me under ATM...... sorry to hear.
  18. i pay about $50 bucks for GTR front housings so i just swaped the whole shebang over... nice and easy. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=155696
  19. http://www.uras.co.jp/syohin/new.html i will have our site updated saturday with pricing
  20. Some shop here in melbourne has been fitting BA headlights into R33's and it looks fkn terrible.
  21. This furthers my question, why new when you can buy a 2nd hand one and rebuild it with os internals and have change.
  22. haha i figured. but even still 1150 is what most workshops or dist would pay lol im moving ... now
  23. They dont have the budget the used too, hard times for some of these jap giants.
  24. Having usd T618Z on a few customer cars i would be wary as to what you want to use this car for, with T618Z's expect a fair bit of lag as they are designed for heavily modded 26's and are Trusts largest bolt on twins nearly equiv to twin TD06S-20g. Average output is 440-520 odd rear wheel KW and trust recommend pretty extreme specs with these turbo (nothing under 272 10.5mm) with baby tomei 260's the above setup seems to be a little mis matched, have you driven it or got any power figures?
  25. haha no worries whats your address? lol the s15 is sweeter.
