Junk absolute junk. Only use the genuine style thick metal versions, and they will be on for life. If you get stuck i will look out back for a pair.

True re the load maps. But i cant understand your hate of the MAP based POWERfc's why is that? and what software do you use to tune them? we have no dramas and the age old complaint of poor economy is a tuner issue no the fc's fault. We have few big HP sr20's running d-jetro as dailies with no issues.... i just want to know what others are having issues with?
-
not a very original sign in... ^^^ you know the real DRDRIFT is on here regulary?
-
Ive had 2 and my series 6 was used for the deveopment of thier version 4 (via mildren rotory in adelaide), i have quite a few few reasons for not liking them and continual isues with firmware in my v4 and massive timing drift was only the begining of my hate for them.. My main hate is the large percentage of people who come in with wolf ecu's have bounced from shop to shop trying to get a decent result without getting something they consider up to scratch. As i said previous i dont waste my time with them, i send them to a wolf dealer and if they are not happy with the results and come back we swap it out for something else. its only my opinion so either way it makes no difference.

for your car i would go nistune but if you want a cheap adaptronic i have one here; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...=STRK:MESELX:IT the new E1280s is a real work of art and would embarass many of the better known ecu's around.
-
i turn every wolf customer away i hate them that much....
-
interesting as i reckon the d-jetro its one of the best ecu's around especially on 2JZ, RB AND SR, no dramas with high hp, easy to tune and returns excellent ecomony when tuned right.

put the boost back down to 9psi till you can get it tuned / re-mapped.

Need Help From People Whos Running Power Fcs
STATUS replied to Radioham's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
most of the r33 get a faulty main processor which is the large one in the socket. The reason r33 powerfc's were discontinued was because that eprom was discontinued and is impossible to replace... so if that main processor is kaput then the powrfc is not repairable. I repair about 4 or 5 owerfc's a week and unfortunately most of the r33 ones have a dodgy main processor and it cant be replaced as it is no longer in production. It seems to be only a r33 issue most other pfc's just have dodgy capacitors or igintion transistors. Only a handfull of PFC's run that large processor (all now discontinued by apex) it is not common across the whole range. Those whithout this processor are still available new. -
this is a pic of a std c30 chev dash..... ugly as fck
-
yup and all the heater and a/c gear out of a XG so its all late model, cheap and easy to work on, replace and far better looking than the original chev and GM gear. the GM a/c compressor was about 45kilos

chase up a s13 one it will be easier, it can be done with the s15 ecu but it requires a full ecu header repin.

Attached is our Chev Truck, it has been well looked after and is maintained regardless of cost.It was bought to tow our race car around the country but after only a few rounds the GFC hit and the series was cancelled. In anticipation of travelling all over the country we replaced anything we thought may cause us dramas whilst on the road so it has new steering linkages, rear drums, wheel bearings, linings, alternator, CVR hi-torque starter and new headlights with HID globes and ballasts (awesome light). It has a Alpine CD player with decent alpine speakers and is plenty loud enough without having to modify the truck to much to fit it. The Truck has a 454 and T400 both were rebuilt by the previous owner and have been faultless, i fitted a dominator tow converter to improve towing large loads off the line and to increase capacity and it tows our race trailer with ease. It has a high capacity tow pack and a ute liner so can be used without fear of damaging the tray. It is straight gas and has 200litres on hand and gets great mileage for interstate trips. (tanks have just been certified) It has power steering and power brakes so can be driven by just about anyone. A/C has a leaky hose (hp off compressor) and is all that is required to get it up and running, i was qouted $150 including hose and hi-chill gas. The interior is actually one of the best parts of this truck, usually these trucks have a terrible dash (much like hq to hz holdens) but this truck has had a full right hand drive conversion done using a late model electronic dash (see pictures). It will need a few things for road worthy namely tyres and a windscreeen. There is a bit of rust in each back door and a little bit on the firewall, it is nothing to worry about and was there when we bought the car, it has been treated and was going to be fixed when the truck was to be painted in team colours which never happened due to the race series cancellation. (INCLUDES A FULL COLOR CODED FIBREGLASS CANOPY) We are happy for test drives and inspections so please get in contact. $15,000ono

no issues with the LINK G4 version so i cant see an issue with the Vipec.

the number in red is the best way to identify nissan ecu's. Look for a 04u00, 04u01 or 04u02 if you get stuck i may have a few at work.

i think you got me mixed up, i send ALOT of customers to stao for budget turbos. These are prototype turbos and my issue is not with his turbos in general, i was just explaining i dont like the idea of using a band aid fix which forces gas through the turbine side of the turbo. The stopper limits the amount the actuator can open which in turn forces it through the turbine this sky rockets heat and has been known to damage the turbos turbine and more worrying exhaust valves over time.
-
i buy quite a lot of boutique turbos off ebay that are made in taiwan, but they have a proven track record and are quite uncommon.
-
just leave it til your tuner plays with it.

Apexi Powerfc, Rb25det (r33), And Jatco 4n71b?
STATUS replied to b1ancardi's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ive done a few R33's with autos and power fc's and it works but the shift quality is reduced as is kick down sensitivity, if it is a full built box then it wont be much of an issue. The other option is to fit a 300zx ecu and nistune it which gives factory like changes. -
Not bad but i dont like the idea of the actuator stoppers, im worried the excessive exhaust manifold pressures will cause damage down the track. Only those people that don't listen to our voicemail have issues and honestly if they cant take the time to write emails or leave messages i dont have time for them simple, i run a very busy shop and the customers who do the right thing by listening to the voicemail and reading our website get looked after and booked in quickly and efficiently. I cannot answer a phone and tune at the same time....

Noisey Lifter On Rb25det.. Can I Use A Lifter Additive
STATUS replied to dave_rb20's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i will check my last invoice. For an comparo sr ones were $96 rrp and there is half as many so i reckon around $200 rrp for the set of rb... from memory. -
i have a few of the new bolt on gt 3076 bolt kits in the 0.82 56t making more power and better response on less boost than half of the highflows we see. If i was you i would buy an off the shelf turbo, of all the highflows and so forth ive seen through the shop (about 20-25) none have matched off the shelf items for response and power @ reasonable boost levels.
