  8. The only pod i could find deep enough to match the 400r/nismo style sidesjirts was bomex. They start out deep at the wheel arch and taper back to the standard pod finish line.
  9. If you take it to Hardy Spicer they can mill it out and fit a bigger better uni for you.
  10. Dont quote me but I think you may have some minor issues doing this. I just did a full gtr conversion to my series 1 gtst and when i tried the gtst air guide I ran in to a prob. The bonnet latch and mechanism sits about 20 mil higher on the gtr and when I tried the gtst airguide it fouled on the mechanism. As to what would happen after I trimmed the airguide to fit I really dont know but I will do it at some stage in the near future. Hope this helps.

  18. Isnt it funny how all the people supporting the price arent sticking their hands in their pocket to buy it.
  19. The newer federal RSR model now has a treadwear rating of 140. It also has a much stiffer sidewall than the earlier RS model. I am going to give a set of these a workout as soon as the car is back up and ready for time attack.
  20. Ok. Just to add my 2 cents worth to this. I have never seen an ALSD in a series 2. I have seen several in series 1's Including my own. To correctly bleed the system one must remember there are 2 bleed nipples. One at the pump under the boot and one on top of the diff on the left hand side. If you look at the lid to the reservoir there is a tube protruding from it when you remove it. Insert the tube on top of the cap, screw the cap back on and apply compressed air via the tube to bleed the system. You can gravity bleed the pump nipple first but you must apply air pressure to the system to bleed the diff nipple.Be it because of their age or not i do not know but they require regular bleeding to keep them in top working order. Lack of maintainence renders them a useless single pegger but regular bleeding sees them working damn fine. They really shine in high speed sweeping corners in conjunction with hicas (Ilove that too). Once the car reaches its grip level the hicas and alsd work in unison to keep correcting the rear slip. It can be a pain in the arse to maintain but i have no plans to swap mine out simply because its the best damn diff on the planet when it works correctly. That and the fact that it is a way bigger stronger diff than anything else in the skyline range.
  21. they're no different here in the switch to anywhere else mate. I drove around for 12 months with a cf bonnet and never had an issue. I did not hang out in the usual boy racer haunts tho. lappin the switch is a guaranteed way to get your arse caned on a regular basis. You fita cf bonnet and ya takes ya chances. My mate from logan just got done and had to have it cleared but as he said, its no biggie. Hook up with us some time and we'll show you the ropes in the switch.
  22. I did the same conversion with 33 gtr brembos in to a 33 gtst. same deal other than the colour of the calipers. Its quite straight forward and yes I do think you need the rotors. They are larger in diameter than the gtst items. I also fitted a gtr master cylinder. Larger mounting bolts are about the only requirement. Other than that its pretty straight forward.
  23. Mate is bringing his camera around tonight to do the happy snap stuff bud. will post them up then.
