  1. Point taken, I was referring to engine components in general. As for the Jun pump it is one of the few survivors.
  2. Just keeping it real Paul. I have the utmost respect for most things Jun. That oil pump and a set of Jun pistons were among the few survivors of that clutch debacle. I would gladly reuse those slugs if i could find a tight enough block. They are standard bore and its tuff to find a block that will give us the correct piston to wall clearance. Subsequent research led to Cosworth being the actual manufacturer of said pistons. Speaks plenty for Jun that they chose such a well respected outfit to outsource from.
  3. Dude I dont know where you get your info But i reccomend you find a new source. The current one is making you look like an asshat. The only oil pump I have ever purchased and or owned other than the original stocker is a Jun. This pump has survived 2 engine failures. One when the clutch ripped the engine and drivetrain apart and the other when I shat a turbo through the engine. The oil pump has been apart and inspected and crack tested on both occasions and is now happily singing away on track duty at over 500 rwhp.
  4. WTF! Over reading the play a bit arent you Ash. Just re read what I posted and i dont see me blaming anybody for any damn thing. What I did say was simple enough even for you. N1 pumps are shit. There's enough cold hard evidence on the floor to warrant the statement. Yours hasnt broken, Goodonya mate. Now go buy a KKR turbo. Some of them dont break either.
  5. Stop driving like a Nancy boy. N1 pumps are shit, plain and simple. Far too many have gone to god for no good reason. Even in my limited skyline ownership time frame i have seen enough of them to be very wary of the pieces of crap.
  6. Check out the price of the Jun pump while you're at it. A fair bit less than the tomei item and I have broken about everything except the Jun oil pump to date.
  7. From my experience with my 25 box you have more than enough mate. I buy redline in 3.75 litre bottles and if i use it all I get a small amount coming out the breather when I drive the car in anger I think about 3.5 litres is ideal (for me anyway)
  8. Drivers briefing about 7.30 track time from 8 till 5.
  9. Yeah the whole tribe should be there brandon. http://www.sauqld.com/ipb/index.php?showto...mp;#entry128258
  10. Onya smity. top gear is the same shiz. time attack gives a lot more time on the track which is why most of us go for it. Cya at tg one day bud. Now whaddabout the rest of the soft serve bunch?
  11. Listen to those who have done it before, I have and there are no shorcuts, All the parts mentioned above are a must if you wish to complete the conversion. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/33...er-t269201.html forget the gtr rear guards, they look like arse, Get your gtst guards pumped and you end up with a way better looking car.
  12. Any of you hard core racers coming out to QR time attack on friday or are you afraid your icecream will drip on your shirt.
  13. That's foolly sik moite!
  14. Your user name seems very apropriate.
  15. All good common sense there. One of the big ticket items on your list is the greddy plenum. Just because you paid plenty for it doesnt mean it well net you a massive power gain. At that mod level it would brobably do bugger all and may even cost you some down low squirt.
  16. Sell the car so you can pay that girl you smashed to have her car fixed and with whats left buy a good donkey.
  17. He'll need to buff that pretty hard to have it ready for the charity cruise.
  18. Of the 3 tracks available here in s.e. qld I prefer morgan park. Its not an overly large track but offers some really challenging off camber stuff and without counting It has more corners than lakeside to boot. Qld raceway may well be one of the most maligned tracks in the country but in its favor is I would doubt there would be a safer track out there. Not a bad thing for noobs to cut their teeth on circuit work.
  19. Make sure you get the vipec with the chute control Phatman.
  20. It took you 2 goes to find that out ?....Sharp as a bowling ball paul.
  21. I thought it was Stacey's car. Or is that only when its doin cockflop stuff like dyno runs at auto salon.
  22. Gotta love signing on each day just to see who Dirty shed has pissed off over night.
  23. Your 25 box and tailshaft will bolt up. doesnt matter what model the 26 comes from. Standard they do have more power It will drop straight in You will need a 26 engine loom to do the job.
  24. Series 1 and 2 are different and the gtr is different again. No parity at all between the 3.
  25. As impressive as those numbers are to the school boys They serve no more purpose than the 57 speakers and white upholstery cars. Totally impracticle. Big hp numbers like that are merely another form of art expression with little or no relationship to a well balanced street/strip/track package. The majority of genuine enthusiasts will not mourn the passing of shows like auto salon, It was more like a freak show than a car show.
