  1. What!...You cant do those things already Roy?
  2. No probs mate. Working from memory the ambient for 42 degrees was 33/34 degrees. It usually runs around 35 degrees when the ambient is mid to late twentys. Because of the piping setup I am running the sensor is a good 60 cm away from the cooler.
  3. I have my sensor placed about 20 cm before the throttle body. 42 degrees is the most I've seen to date.
  4. Adding them now BN.
  5. Dude you look more the fool than Shane or anybody else. Jumping all over every ecu thread to spruke Vipec/link gets old very quickly. As for marks tuning, Maybe if you lived up here among the import community you would not be so closed minded. Obviously mark can tune a big hp car, so can any other tuner given the opportunity. but like all tuning shops there are as many "unhappy storys" come from Marks workshop as any other. To my mind Tuning a big hp car to run for a few seconds would not represent the challenge involved in tuning a car like mine. 500 hp that gets daily driven, tracked, dragged and used in general. I want a car that will cold start, give good economy on cruise, track in a qld summer without pinging its head off and generally behave itself. No doubt mark can do those things but over 1000 hp would not be the credentials I look for when picking a tuner. I swear by my tuner but I know and respect others who wont use him simply because of their experience. He gives me what I ask for and you cant do better than that. Take this as a mark bash if you will but it isnt. I am simply saying he isnt God when it comes to rb tuning. just another of many who happens to own a helluva quick drag car and can be as fallible or infallible as the next guy. p.s. I use a haltec E11v2 and couldnt be happier.

  13. Or, you can set your suspension up correctly and use the correct width tyre for the rim and still have a good stiff sidewall simply because there are lots of tyre makers these days who build both street and track tyres to those specs. There are some who may find it neccessary to stretch but in the main its just a cheap way of putting rubber on a fat rim.
  14. What!!! No more of the dancing Ranga.
  15. Yes, That is excactly why. They ae all mudcrabs. One day they will evolve and go straight in lieu of sideways.

  17. C'mon Tone, You can do it bud.
  18. Its indicative of so many of the flatcappers in imports. Cant afford the right size tyre for the rim so just cheap arse it with something they found in the bin at kmart tyre centre that doesnt fit and looks like a punk with too much butt crack showing. Then try and convince the rest of the world how "foolly sik" it looks.
  19. 2 hours. just how far north are you. I drive from the starting point to the northside every day for work and even in work traffic it only takes 40/45 mins. If you wish to run a northside cruise just go for it. this isnt about biggest best etc. Its about helping people in dire need any way we can.
  20. Be specific Paul. "racing" Drag racing or circuit racing. Both disciplines require minute attention to the oiling system but curcuit racing adds other factors over and above what 1/4 mile work has to deal with. Opinion is divided as to wether the drain back is a worthwhile mod or just a waste of time. The only definite in this whole debate is that it certainly wont do any harm by being there. With that in mind I am more than happy to use it just on suspicion. It costs bugger all in the grand scheme of a build and, If the pro's are right it may save an engine. Good enough for me.
  21. doesnt matter where you look mate. as it gets closer to being finalised all details will be posted on both forums. Thanks for chipping in.
