  1. Jebus harry climb down off your ego before ya get a nose bleed.
  2. Which you will probably need anyway. Unopened 32 gtr engines are getting a bit long in the tooth. Spun bearings are becoming more common.
  3. No doubt there will be a price reduction to compensate for the deletion of said Launch control.
  4. Its Roger Cordia.
  5. Who gives a flying fig how they look. 3 seconds is more than half the length of the front straight at QR.
  6. Give it to me and I garuantee you paul will get to honour his above mentioned commitement.
  7. Depends on where you buy them I guess. Around 1100 bucks rings inclusive.
  8. I used Os Gikens last time round. Since discovered they are actually a cosworth slug. Brilliant piston but just too pricey. After doing my homework I settled on the mahle this time round. They look the goods and are very well priced.
  9. I see no reason to turn this in to a dirt pissing contest. His ability to build an engine is well documented. We all have our favorite spanners but if i lived in adelaide there's no way I would be getting dirt or dan to do my work, There are good builders in all major centres, Why would you risk dragging engines half way round the country when it can be done locally. Dan from elite is my builder and i wouldnt have it any other way. But If I lived near the dirt man I would have no qualms about getting him to screw my donks together. (If he didnt leave a note taped to the engine telling me the timing belt needed tensioning tho I would firebomb his house )
  10. Lookin forward to it Jay. bout time you hooked up.
  11. radiator, brakes, chrome sills and dash surrounds are sold, Most of this stuff is still abailable.
  12. Contact Shanef, He makes them in billet alloy.
  13. Dan will be at my place in Ipswich on saturday. He is your man. Hook him up with details and we'll gitrdone dude.
  14. no plugs but still have 2 afm's 250 the pair.
  15. I've had as little as 3 runs and as many as 15 at a test and tune. Depends on the numbers. 30 cars is not may. You will be surprised how quickly they run through. Budget for about 2 cars a minute once its up and rolling. It will be bloody hot so the more cool down time between runs the better. I would say you could comfortably handle up to 50 cars and every body will get more than enough runs to keep them happy.
  16. I think you'll find that is the one RIPS use. I have been using one for the last 12 months and there is not a thing wrong with them. They do everything a t/b should.
  17. What he said. divide your tractive effort figure by your diff ratio and you will get near enough to your torque figure.
  18. spent a week cruising the hinterland behind coffs harbour last year while the old girl did some business there. I had the luxury of a BP, Shell, and a caltex within 5 minutes of where i was staying so i tried them all. The caltex returned the lowest knock reading of them all. Only talking a couple of points and, as has already been pointed out it could just be different batches causing the slight variance But i wouldnt worry about using any of those 3 in a car tuned to 98 fuel.
  19. Must be an awful lot of cars running around here that are wrong. The Jolly green giant (elite 32) keeps half of sauq skylines on the road and gives advice to the other half. Supplies us with parts at prices that make the trader section laughable, Goes out of his way to help us out in a bind and charges about half per hour of what most others charge. I love it when people are that wrong.
  20. I'll back my arteisan boar against your hydraulic ram.
  21. WOOOOOOT!
  22. How much air are you going to push through it Adrian?
  23. Funnily enough a recent issue of HPI listed the strengths and weaknesses of their top 10 engines. The weakness of the rb 25 in their opinion was the rods. I dont know how they come to that conclusion because like most here I have never seen an actual rod problem.
