I have a pair of rear only hsd coilovers for sale. as brand new, done less than 100 kilometers. 350 dollars the pair. Elite racing developments here in brisbane can get you the fronts at very good prices if you are interested.

Well I spoke (and spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and spoke) to Mr. Berry this afternoon and he expressed interest in pursuing the matter via his insurance company. Something to do with A dodgy batch of covers or such. I've been jumped through hoops before so I dont hold much hope but I will pursue it regardless. Will keep you posted.

Looking for a gearbox housing for a 33 gtst. My bellhousing is smashed so If anybody has a box with stuffed internals you want to get rid of please let me know.

Think more about your clutch cover than your flywheel Shawn. Having done some preliminary homework already it would appear this is not an isolated incident. I have already sourced a similar hp rated clutch with an antiburst cover for a lot less bucks than the berry. He can shove his full monty where the sun dont shine.

How to go from the Penthouse to the cellar in one easy leasson. Power cruise at qr today Just doing what the natives do. Cruising, racing and having fun. During the off street racing segment I stopped on the back straight. Gave it 5 kay on the tacho and slipped the clutch to warm up the mickey T's in preperation for a race. What happenned next i wouldnt wish on anybody. An incredibly loud explosion shook the shit out of the car, I clutched it and stopped it as quickly as I could and looked back to see a pile of debris scattered all over the track. The clutch housing literally exploded, the bellhousing was blown to smithereens, the slave was sent to god and probably still hasnt landed, shrapnell took out the dump which, fortunately saved the chassis rail. Bits of the back of the engine block were blown off. The starter motor copped it. The majority of the blast fortunately went downwards in to the bitumen, fortunate for me because if it went the opposite way i shudder to think what may have happenned. The clutch was a Jim Berry full monty, Pupportedly capable of holding some major horsepower. Wether I am just the unlucky one or not I dont know but I will not use another clutch without a burstproof housing and a kevlar blanket. A very sobering experience.

You're next in my crosshairs bitch. Watch your arse.

Agreed, I left early as rotors bore me shitless. The promo slappers are the same ones from the original jambo with a lot more hail damage and wrinkles. All the hype about the 2j pro cars is just that. Hype. I have seen them stage around 20/30 times this year for 2 complete 1/4 mile passes. Tired of spending good money for zip. Highlight was the nitrous backfire in the bogan vl. Blew the bonnet off and split the manifold from arse to tit.

Yeah I think you.re right, they dont aim very high if they were trying to date you.

I run the greddy on my 25 and couldnt be happier, My bud runs the Jun copy from ebay with the same result. There are a few good choices out there and they all work well.

Funnily enough most of the retards that go to qr are not from Ippy. Matter of fact its hard to find a local so I guess the shit dribbles in from other more exotic places.

I left early and beleive i saw that ute in the carpark with a few cars around it. They had a rather large esky on the ute and people were helping themselves to the contents. Dont ask me what was in the esky, You can make up your own minds.

I am a big fan of the federal semi. I have used it for track and found it to be far and away better than the best street tyre. There are semi's that will out do it but, as an all round tyre it cant be beaten. 20/25 kay including track, street and skidpan work Is as much as i am prepared to ask of any tyre, semi or street. Heck if you took wheelspin in to account i am sure the rears have probably done double that.

Rb25det To Rb26dett Conversion
FineLine replied to Tomei_Powered's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I converted my 25 head to solid operation and blocked off the vct.Its no longer an issue. I have no desire to change to a 26 anything. once modified there is stuff all difference between the 2 engines so whats the point. In my 18 months of linership The weakness of both engines would appear to be A. the 26 is hell on spun bearings. B. the 25 has a propensity to shit pistons. I'll take B. A set of forgy's and the issue is no more. The 26 however would appear to continue to have the bearing gremlin wether rebuilt or not. Both great engines. Use what you have. -
Turbo Outlet Silicone Hose Torn - Twice!
FineLine replied to driftmeister's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Tried that after the first time. It prolonged the life but it inevitably failed again. Welding a piece in is the best solution. -
Turbo Outlet Silicone Hose Torn - Twice!
FineLine replied to driftmeister's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thinking the same Mike, I tore a couple of 90 degree jobbies till I wised up and welded an alloy bend in place. Heat from the manifold was the culprit. -
