  1. Saw your ride this mornin. Hope it all goes well bud.
  2. Whatever floats your boat mate. At no stage has anybody said there is not a place for a fuel of higher quality though I doubt it costs 150% more to produce. I guess the fact that it is only available in drums would add substantially to the cost of getting it to the consumer. If i were looking for the last ounce of performance a la a dyno queen or drag car etc I would probably consider a fuel like yours, but for the high performance turbo charged street car or even track car where power can be dialled in or out almost at will The "lower grade" fuel has proven to be a cost effective, good performing, and safe fuel to use.
  3. You better race down to sydney and melbourne and tell all those guys that are using that really low quality shit that all their horsepower gains are just fairy stories. No one is saying your fuel isnt better quality but who the hell is going to pay 2buckfiddy a litre to fuel their daily. given that it returns about 30% poorer fuel economy makes it an even worse proposition. Your fuel has a place, no doubt about it but dont shit can the other guys product when it has proven results on the board.
  4. Interesting, I'll actually go back to marinelli's next week and see what they have to say.
  5. Nothing really untoward Dan, Just the herculian effort to get it to fit and work and the noise factor. Its the loudest damn thing i ever heard. If they were more freely used I am sure there would be commercial kits to fit them to rb engines but even if there were its a far bigger job than fitting a turbo.
  6. More to the point, Find out if your chosen tuner is happy with adaptronic. it doesnt matter a tinkers toss how many tuners use a pfc, Its what the guy tuning your car is more comfortable with. And agree with status, the latest adaptronic range is some pretty good shizz for the bucks, as are most of the latest generation ecu's.
  7. Having followed 33racer's exploits in fitting a super charger to his skyline I think I'll stay snail driven for a long time to come.
  8. Funnily enough trent thats what marinelli's say too.
  9. It is also available from marinelli motorsports in ipswich. But at 2/3 bucks a litre yall can shove it where the sun dont shine. The stuff that will be available from the pumps will service all but the most hardcore needs as already experienced by those fortunate enough to have access to it in sydney and melbourne.
  10. Stop spammin nismoid or I'll lock this thread onya. to the op. The wow factor is probably there but its spread a bit more evenly across the power band. As an example my original 25 and my current 30 run identical times and mph across the 1/4 mile yet the 30 feels tame compared to the hit I got from the 25. Power levels are within a few hp of each other and if anything the 30 could probably go a tad better than the 25 but I drove it ladyboy fashion for fear of breaking the drive train, The 25 I used to flat shift and rev its tits off and whilst it was no lag monster it did come on like a hammer blow compared to the 30 which delivers it in a much more linear fashion. If I were to placebo evaluate each engine without hard data I would tell you the 25 was probably the quicker but in real world that just isnt the case.
  11. Just purse your lips as if you're going to whistle, then make the UUUUUUUUUU sound. Repeatedly jab your tongue to your palate just behind your top teeth and PRESTO! You have your foolly Sik VL dose. Cost farkall too.
  12. The mini coopers from the original "Italian Job"
  13. Any drag radial will have a higher profile than a street tyre, Its an inherent part of their design A 19 inch drag tyre would look like a 4wd wheel. small rim and big rubber. You would be better served by dropping to a 17 or even a 16 inch rim if drag radials are your choice. becuase of the tyre diameter they will still fill out your guards like a low profile street 19.
  14. Been there done it. Unless you're prepared to throw some serious coin at it forget it. If i were to do it again It would be built around a counterweighted crank of some description. And, as most have already said. it takes a very developed head to make it worthwhile. revving to those numbers without a head built to take advantage of it is a waste of time.
