Its all lies duncan, cubes are over rated. What and where is mtdc ? I am using wakie as a home base simply because the accommodation is reasonable and the dorms are self contained. Remember,i live in Ipswich so golbourne is like going to monaco for me. I will be doing a fair bit of sight seeing, at least one trip to sydney for a couple of days. And whatever else takes my fancy. The peeps at wakie claimed i could get track time at least 3/4 days a week so thats more than enough. I am actually gettin a tad excited, Bunta has been extolling the technical virtues of wakie ever since i bought my line. Keen to do some laps.

Does there come a time when no matter how well a car is setup the tyre size and type simply limits its capability's? If the car was making over 600 prior to the E85 god only knows what its making now. We're talking nascar hp here on piddly little 265 semi slicks. No disrespect to the tyre maker, they are obviously at the cutting edge as witnessed by what the giant team and others have achieved on them previously but there must come a time when the rest of the car is developed beyond what a "sunday race tyre" is capable of delivering. Get it sorted and go out and take some names. You have a large fan base cheering you on and I'm one of them

Its actually a sad day for me Ash. I loved the wail of the 25 givin it to some bogan at powercruise with more engine out of the bonnet than under it. I guess I'll never realise the full potential of the setup now. However i just cant afford to continue down the same path. What really cuts me is that beautiful cylinder head is now a doorstop, That was the last straw, I either find a way to do it without leaning on it so hard or i go lawn bowling.

After a broken valve spring demolished my last 25 it was (or so I thought) the easier option to drop in a fresh forged 30 engine I had in waiting. Quite surprised at how many little changes need to be made to make it work such as oil and water lines, vct oil feed, engine mounts etc. If all stays on track we should be on the rollers as early as next monday so heres hoping for some same 450/ 500 hp fun at less revs.

King springs havnt had the best rep over the years but they are gritty people. They have developed their product to the point where they are one of the few spring makers in the world who guarantee their springs not to sag. As for ride softness. they and most spring makers will make springs as soft or as hard as you like. It isnt the brand that makes them hard or soft. Its the spring rate. I am currently using the king springs on bilstein shocks and couldnt be happier.
