  2. Hi All I've come across a Tommy Kaira R32 Side Mount Intercooler... now, i haven't been able to find any specs on these, but its a really good price, and i was wondering if anyone knew how much better it would flow/cool compared to the stock R32 Side-Mount Intercooler that i have at the moment? Anyone had any experience with these? I take it it would just mate up with the standard piping? Also, does anyone have a rough idea how much it would cost to get one of these into Australia, from Japan? Pic Below: Thanks, Jason
  3. was worth a shot
  4. anyone got a car i can borrow for the next drift meet?
  5. wazz, its ANY point of the car.. nothing, other than the wheels/tyres is allowed to be less than 100mm from the road. I got defected about a month back for having one corner of my front bar, which is lower than everything else, 95mm from the ground instead of 100... and even then, the law 100mm anyway. I tried arguing with them about it and they said that the 100mm has to be measured with an extra 300kg in the car (or 4 passengers) so basically it has to be a fair bit OVER 100mm or they'll still do you
  6. haha, thats the one
  7. sorry for the hi-jack, but Eug... i liked ur old avatar better :kick:
  8. I drove autos for ages on my learners, but wanted to get a manual license... i took 5 x 30 minute driving lessons in a manual car and passed the driving test with flying colours first time, so it all depends on the person, and what sort of co-ordination you have etc.
  9. As above... either A or D, depending on their attitude/if they look like they'll hit me if i don't get out of the way etc.
  10. Hi All A while back, a mate and i won a short shifter at Jamboree, and we installed it in his S14a, and had problems with it rattling ALOT. We contacted the manufacturer and he had a look at it and after a fair while we figured out that it didn't fit the S14a properly. Anyway, we've now decided to put it in my '32, and, sure enough, it rattles (nowhere near as bad as in the S14 though) and you can hear a 'sucking' sound, as well as gear noise coming through it. Now, its full metal construction (except for the nylon bush on the end) which i thought was probably the source of the oil 'sucking' sound, and the gear noise - lack of insulation, but i had another idea presented to me last night, which frankly, has me a little concerned. it was put to me that perhaps the shifter is TOO short, and not letting the gears engage fully, hence more gear noise. Now, if that was the case, you'd expect it to jump out of gears, etc, wouldn't u? It seems to slot into gears okay, and i havent had it jump out yet (only installed it last night)... Just wondering other peoples opinions on this. Oh, i can't for the life of me remember the brand... it was 'x' something i think. Hardcore Racing in brisbane sell them. Thanks for your help Jason
  11. geez, that was quick! i advertised my merkur xr4ti (same body as a 2-door sierra, but with 2.3L turbo, rwd) for aaaaaaaaaages, and in the end i ended up trading it in to a caryard for some rediculously low amount

  20. I woke up in front of the TV before, and a news report was on, saw the report of the crash and thought i recognised the car... as soon as it was over i jumped on here hoping i'd seen/heard wrong, but unfortunately i hadn't I had that car as my wallpaper up until a few days ago My condolences go out to all involved/affected by this tragedy... nobody deserves to go like this. R.I.P.
  21. Yeah, i haven't done any mods to my car (its exactly as it was when i bought it... i actually REMOVED the Atmo BOV etc and put on the standard recirculating one) and i told the police this, and they said "no it wasn't, you did all this... there's no way a caryard would sell a car like this"
  22. Yeah, 1 point. Ah well, i picked up my new front bar last night (Thanks Jon), so that'll be going in to get sprayed in the next few days... Yay, more money down the drain due to cops being ****tards
  23. Yeah, they had a video camera there, and were filming everything that went on... spent about 5 minutes filming my car even though there was nothing out of the ordinary about it... geez
  24. Posting for a friend: Hi guys, New job means new car. So I'm selling my S14a *tears* It's a red, 1997, 5 speed, mid-spec. Has perfect service history for all 110,000k's. Since I've owned it I've replaced all oils/fluids/coolants over to Motul. Has an S15 turbo (ball bearing) S15 intercooler Front Strut Brace RB74 brake pads Re-sprayed bonnet (removed badge and welded up the holes) Luxury spec front lip. 18" BBS mags with new Toyo tyres (I can put standard wheels back on if you so desire). Exedy Heavy duty clutch (sprung centre) 11psi boost 3" turbo back exhaust Autometer boost guage in moulded a-pillar pod Tinted windows 210rwhp on 11psi This car is absolutely immaculate. Perfectly serviced, well maintained, always warmed up, always cooled down. Probably heaps more but I just can't remember everything. It's a very tight car, drives like new, goes really well, good fuel consumption, looks fantastic! Chasing around $22,000 with the mags, or $21000 without. Call Paul on 0413 090 597 if interested, or MSN him at [email protected]
