  1. nah, my bar is a fibreglass replica, so its all moulded in together... thought of hack-sawing a bit off the bottom though... but i thought i'd rather get a gts-t bar than ruin this one further
  2. generally called "motorkhana" or "khanacross" over here
  3. Was driving along gympie road at aspley last night (Driving PAST aspley, in the lane furthest away, 'coz i hate the place) and a cop ran in front of 2 lanes of traffic, causing them to skid to a stop, and ran in front of me with only just enough room to stop, to pull me in.. they then proceeded to be extremely rude, especially when they made me drive down an extremely steep driveway and laugh at me as it scraped all along my front bar... made me park on a slope, where the ground was uneven under the front bar and then tried to measure the height... i asked them if they could please measure it on level ground as the ground was uneven (my front bar is right on 100mm) and he went off, saying not to argue with him, he's a cop and he can do anything he likes, tellin me to shutup, etc etc... in the end he fined me for having a parker out (which i didn't know about) and thats the only thing he could find, and then he sent me to the pits, where i had to wait for 2 1/2 hours (until midnight) and in the end i got a $75 fine and 1 point for having a parker out, and a notice to raise the front of the car, because it was "5MM" too low... i mean, 5mm, geez, get ur hand off it guys. Oh, and they also tried to pin me, saying that i had gutted my brand new (like less than a month) old 3" highflow cat because it had "welds around the flanges" What a bunch of tossers.. On a positive note though, there was a bike cop there who i had a good chat to while i was waiting and he was a really nice bloke. He let me know that in a few weeks time, they're bringing out new laws about exhaust noise... at the moment he said its about $45 and 1 point fine if your exhaust is too loud... in a few weeks the fine is going up to around $350 (or more, i can't remember the exact figure now) and he said "a few points, we don't know exactly how many yet, but probably around 3" Just thought i'd let u guys know, so u can attend to ur exhaust noise before it gets too late

  5. Hi All Was wondering if anyone had a standard R32 GTS-T front bar laying around that they would like to sell, as my R32 GTR bar is about 5mm too low, at one point, according to the C*NTStabularly. Jason
  6. when i can afford to build a track car (read: when i've paid off the 'line) i'll most probably build up an AE86 as a track car... I used to own one, and i got bitten by the bug... it was just soooooooo much fun to drive (Had 4age and Suspension mods)

  13. Answer to your first question: You are able to apply for a learners license at age 16 1/2. To drive on this license you have to have a fully licensed driver with you at all times. You have to hold this license for 6 months and then pass a Practical driving test at the end. If you pass that, you get issued with a 'P' or Provisional license. You have to hold this license for 3 consecutive years. The restrictions on this license are that you only have 4 demerit points (1/3 that of a full license) so basically if you get caught doing illegal stuff, you'll have your license taken away quicker than if you had an open license. The above holds true for Queensland anyway, not sure on other states laws. The most popular car among young people here in Queensland would have to be a Holden Commodore (locally made car) as they are cheap enough that your average 17 - 18 year old can afford one. You see a few skylines around though, but they're usually owned by slightly older people (early to mid 20's). The import scene is getting larger here in Queensland, with more and more starting to show up, but again, its usually slightly older people who have them due to their price etc, so you don't see as many. Streetracing is there, and always will be, but it has died down a bit in the last couple of years after new 'anti hoon' laws were introduced where if you were caught racing etc etc they take your car off you for 48 hours... if you're caught again you lose it for 3 months... if you're caught again after that you forfeit it to the crown. Police use very heavy-handed tactics at times, such as defecting cars, hassling people purely because of the fact that they own a nice car, and alot of the time it is on people who haven't done anything wrong, so there is usually a very anti-police attitude amongst enthusiasts. Anything else you wish to know?

  20. Its common practice for places like panel beaters etc to drive cars around their workshop without radiators connected etc, so i wouldn't stress TOO much about it, as long as you didn't drive too far it 'should' be okay
  21. Hi All I'm just curious. i've stumbled across a Trust TD06-17C for $750, i was wondering how well this would go on an RB20DET? Good size match? any idea of when it would start making boost/full boost, what sort of power it would provide, what i would need to change for it to work well, stuff like that Thanks in advance Jason
