  1. I'm a bit confused by your last statement? Having peak torque come on early as possible is a great thing and in a petrol engine is harder to do (compared to a diesel) and definetely should be highlighted as a good selling point.
  2. Damn they are gorgeous, the stock seats were all ready awesome!
  3. Just a little heads up, i've been organising a group buy through Nissan for OEM R34 GTR V Spec II aluminium pedals over the last month. Should be around half the price that they normally are So if you want to wait a little while and find out what price I can get them for in the group buy I would suggest that as they are gorgeous pedals and replace the factory ones (No drilling etc). Or you can buy my stock ones for $10 once I get the new ones
  4. It's because most people are absolute idiots and should be slaughtered to let the rest of the population strive.
  5. Payments coming through nice and quick Only about 8 payments remaining.
  6. WOAH....WOAH....WOAH.....WOAH......WOAH BACK UP ONE SEC! There is some sort of download shit on the PS3 that lets you continue playing Fallout 3 after the finish of the game?!?!??!!?
  7. I have a brand new DLS W312B 12" sub and DLS silver grill for cheap if you are interested.
  8. So the BMW N54 engine has variable length intake runners!? Really? My father is currently looking for the perfect second hand one to buy (09 M Sport DCT 335i) and I have absolutely loved the engine and car since BMW brought them out (hence me mentioning it before with the peak torque at 1200rpm). I spend quite a lot of time on the e90post forums reading EDIT: I just re-read what you wrote and you said "possibly", so I don't think they actually do You got me really excited then because that was one thing I didn't know about.
  9. What oil cooler kit is that? Looks good.
  10. Ohh it's harder?! Well that changes a lot. That was the main thing that pissed me off in Fallout 3. Way to easy and I hit max level cap way before I finished it and I was basically just following the story line.
  11. Yeah that's fair enough. The brands could definetely go, but the generic things like exhaust sizes, fuel types and stuff could still be in check boxes just to make it quicker. There could also be a lot of additional boxes such as water meth, nitrous and stuff that simply have a yes or no. If no is selected than it simply doesn't get posted up. If yes is selected however, another box could appear for you to write more details of the setup in like shot size, water/meth ratio etc. I think it would really give a better understanding of certain setups and make modifications for new people a lot easier to understand and see. If for example you wanted results of a GT3076, you would search for GT3076 in the thread and you would get every single dyno graph of a GT3076 with all the information listed all the same for easier viewing and without discussions between people in the thread or half a dozen qoutes of the same dyno graph.
  12. Oh really?! Damn that sucks
  13. Just to be exact, so people that don't know much about this know exactly how to calculate it: HP = [Torque (ft.lb) x RPM] / 5252 In other words: Power = [Force x Distance] / Time
  14. Personally I find most of the new WRX's to look a bit strange. The old GC shapes just had so much presence for their time. Evo X for me out of the two
  15. God some one take him up on the offer! A free plenum FFS!
  16. That is assuming the torque curve has shifted completely to the left. My silly comment was meaning that the torque curve has remained the same, only now rises and reaches its maximum sooner - Think about adding a square to the front or a rectangle But I know what you mean. I should have worded it better. Hence my little graph showing torque reaching its maximum for as long as possible and than holding that maximum value for as long as possible
  17. Hahaha yeah I know, it was a very unrealistic graph. Just wanted to show a "ceiling value" so to speak. From some quick maths it appears to make 1925kw
  18. Not sure if this is something you guys would want to do, but I thought we could maybe update the Turbo upgrade dyno results section and make it a bit more user friendly and more usable. My idea is a complete "re-doing" of those sections (RB25/RB20/RB26 etc) and making it into an easy to search topic with standardised forms to fill out by a person when posting. What I mean by that is as follows: Say we have a completely new thread from scratch. RB25 TURBO DYNO RESULTS To start a new post in the section, one would not simply type their post into the standard window and put a mixture of information in, sometimes missing vital information that is needed to get a good understanding of the car (this is pretty much the case in most posts), but instead tick off a bunch of lists/forms like you would in a questionnaire. Here is a quick example of what it could look like: It would cover all the essential information that is needed and would all have to be filled out for it to allow the post to be made. The requirement of an uploaded dyno graph would also be manditory (no imageshack listing so in 3 years time it simply dissapears). This would allow very easy reading of all the posts and being able to search a lot quicker for a certain type of turbo used, or a certain fuel type, certain intake manifold etc. It would stop posts such as: "GT3071R, Splitfire coilpacks, 14psi, 270kw" With no dyno graph supplied to see what is actually going on or any good information listed such as fuel types etc. All the old posts could be transferred over if they have the correct information and the ones missing a lot of information deleted. This also stops "bullshit" results that are missleading or a plain lie. With so many parts, brands, fuels etc available nowadays there are so many different setups and it is a shame to see a cars dyno graph with out knowing all the details of the car. Or the other way around, an awesome list of parts and then simply a peak kw figure with no graph attached so you don't know what it is like at every RPM point. I think this would be a good idea and would make a great addition to the website. Anyway let me know what you think, just a thought. I realise it would be a bit of work and I would be very willing to help if that would be the case Cheers Phil
  19. Really it is three main brand choices these days that most people go for in RB's as a plug and play full replacement ECU: Vipec V44/V88 - Link G4 Power FC (Normal or D Jetro) Haltech Platinum Pro/E11V2 As said by Marc, speak to the person that is going to tune it and see what they like. All are good choices. Also comes down to price and what functions you want. Have a good read in the Forced Induction section as these topics have been covered millions of times.
  20. Agreed. This is a far, FAR to complicated matter to be discussing in posts and trying to explain in detail. Hence why people write books on it.
  21. Yeah it sucks for you guys in VIC. I could never go back to working on my car with that damn annoying factory plenum in the way of everything. Ugliest thing in the world.
  22. Hypothetically yes if everything remained the same. Dyno power graphs would look like this with red line being the V8 Supercar engine in your example
  23. 12!! My god!
  24. Variable geometry turbos have actually been out a lot longer than people think. 1989 Shelby was the first production car to use one. From my understanding the 911 Turbo was the first to use twin variable turbine geometry turbos. A few cars come out with variable geometry turbos now (mainly turbo diesels). Is there are particular car/test you are reffering to there? Hope you don't think they have 1200Nm at 2000rpm in standard form! (For reference they are around 500-550Nm for a FG XR6T)
  25. Was mucking around learning how to use Photoshop last night, it's pretty fun Need to reshoot the photo though now that it has that sexy PSI Parts carbon cooling plate
