  1. God damn.. They're still so cool tho. Tell ya what when I get to that part of the upgrade on my car (ie if my normal lights die/faIl) you're on Now i just need to start looking for the quad headlight convo
  2. You're over 24. I think some companies thats the magic number.
  3. nevermind - i followed that link and had a look. wow i never knew all that - thanks alot. Now i just wanna spend money on a HID kit that has the quad light conversion for r32. Looks mad. Oh well $500USD = PowerFC. Hmmmm which would you choose? i mean really
  4. That's it P1E. I'm over it. I ain't getting insurance. I thought I wouldn't get a skyline but I'm in love too much ha gotta get one regardless Walu - My only worry bout satellite tracking stuff was line-of-site. That's why I like the technology of quik trak. It would suck if they went bust. I don't know why insurance companies chip in to save it. I mean even if car makers did- imagine all of a sudden all beamers and mercos come standard with quik trak. I mean that would save them bundles. Oh well logic goes out the window if it has tits or wheels i guess. (in the best possible way ladies). O_o
  5. Thanks Iwells. Ckill - HID kit. I just wanna see it cos im not sure what it does. I think halogens you can buy on ebay
  6. Can anyone explain this to me like im 7yrs old? As I understand it a boost controller lets pressure out so the wastegate diaphram doesn't open and allows the turbz to deliver a higher pressure of boost . i.e. "boosted" car. This looks like it has 2 valves? I read the autospeed article 3 times and still don't understand the difference. Could someone explain this to me please? :headspin:
  7. HMm how the hell do you do 12's with a stock turbz? Please let me know
  8. Walu - I agree about $2k on a system for a company that are in administration. I'd like to know what those arguements are also however. I've only heard of ming and car watch (and I think car watch is a quiktrac product?) Also all other systems are satellite aren't they? Please let us know walu
  9. Sweet thanks Ckill. Just wondering you know where I can pick one up? Btw - Like your number plate, never noticed it before heheh
  10. Hello, Just wondering. I'd like to get the white light xenon (i think they're xenon) headlights. I wouldn't like to LOOK rice ie- have full blue headlights. However I would like to have the white light that audi, lexus, bmw, merc cars have. They look better. (for driving inside the car looking out). I'd like to minimise on the blue look from the outside. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also what's the difference between h3 h4 and is there a specification for r32 standard headlight attachment/screw-in bits or are they all standard? Thanks
  11. Sweet will checkem out. Thanks for the info - with the dish measuring where do you measure from? dish section to... the edge of the guard? from the axle (where the brakes are)? They do look great - Do you know how much they weigh? Also what tyres do you wear on them? 8.5 so about 235s? My friend has 225s on his. Are ok but I think with 235 or 245 it would handle better but I'm worried 245 = too big for drift without a really done up engine. Any ideas about that? Also final question - got a pic of your car with those rims?
  12. http://www.impul.co.jp/products/FPD.htm This pedal set wanted. Please let me know if you can get and for how much. If it's orderable let me know how much even if it's roughly. Thanks. edit: manual car.
  13. Hello, Just looking for some wheels to buy. Want to have some nice white wheels - perhaps rays te37 or enkei wrc tarmac forged. Just wondering what people think of width and diameter. I was thinking something like deep dish 18" by 8 or 19" by 8 wearing around 245s or 235s with low pro tyres probably about 30 or 40 thou. I'd have another set with less crazy "show" value for drift etc. With a bit of camber etc would you guys expect me to get rub on a lowered r32 (sitting on coilovers for example)? Also I read an article about handling on these forums I think and I remember that it said because the skyline is 50/50 weight destribution the tyres back and front should be the same. Do you guys think these tyre/wheel choices are reasonable - or will I be unable to do some things with them? This will offcourse be street/light track dutues. Also - what size would the wheels be on these two cars.. 18" or 19"? Red car = 19" 9" width with 245s 30thou Wht car = 18 or 17" 8.5 with 245s 40 tho Does that sound about right? Last question - How do you measure dish? Cheers guys appreciate it. Also should note someone posted these pics before so I they ain't to my credit ta
  14. I'd be interested if that fits r32? I guess 3.5" for a rb20 light tune is a bit much isn't it ? You can get a silencer option for that - i think it's just a plate or something that goes in *shrug*. When you say drone... how drone? I like my mate's kakimoto cat back.. sounds awesome - not loud just meaty and low.. So anyone knows if it fits r32?
  15. Hmm. I think someone on this forum said they are getting front ones now. Oh well. I think the main thing to remember is if you look closely the majority of cameras (I'm only speaking for the ones I've been past/seen in NSW) don't have the piezo sensors on the opposite side of the road. Food for thought for new south welshmen (and women). Although in the end - don't wanna get caught don't speed.
  16. Doh I've heard of places in Sydney ie. chinatown doing the whole 4 series. Hm as for Melbourne - can't help ya. If I find the place in chinatown I'll let you know perhaps we can work something out if you don't find it. PM me so I remmeber your name.
  17. In NSW. The 5 or so cameras I have been oncoming do not take a photo. That's a fact. They will tell you they measure both ways so you don't try, the fact is as of the last time I went past one they don't take your picture forward.
  18. Theres a thread that tells you about stuff you should look for if you search - i think its a sticky. It's for skylines but it will apply to a lot of cars. As for 180's and s13's it's pretty safe to say (in my mind anyway) that they are all thrashed. Be aware of that when you're buying them so you know what you may need to change/replace/recon/service. I've never owned a sil or 180 so I can't tell you specifically about them but my friend put one through hell and it took everything he gave it - respect to the sil and respect to the SR20. Other than that I have no idea - good luck. oh . .. finally if you find a 180/s13 that's not about to blow up for that price let me know, all the good ones i've seen are more than that.
  19. How much do engine rebuilds for rb20det's (with turbz rebuilt) go for these days? $3k ?
  20. Hello, Would you guys buy a KNOWN ex-drift r32? I mean - you know it's been thrashed. You just hope it's been looked after too right? Opinions?
  21. hehe Gohan - that's almost the opposite of what im looking at doing. Unforunately I don't trust just anyone to drive my car up a truck and off it without damage - especially with suspension and a kit heh so yeah might have to drive it down. Good luck with your escapades!
  22. aha! Gotcha thanks - I will look into this thanks very much for the info!
  23. When I was 18 I was driving a v8 and too hazed out to have insurance. Now - my thoughts on insurance on a skyline http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=46377 baH! Also if you do a quick search there was an excellent thread or how to written by someone that was about a page and a half of stuff to look for when buying a liner. I think it was a sticky so you shouldn't have trouble finding it... if you cant lemme know Ill try to have a quick look (in bed atm bout to goto zzz). Good luck!
  24. Hello, Just wondering if anyones ever had a car complianced in another state to the one that it's getting registered in? Asking because interested in what would happen if you buy a car jsut complianced but not rego'ed in another state to your home state. I assume ADR = AUSTRALIAN design rule ie it's recognised around Australia right? I ain't shippin it cos I don't trust shipping a car - I'd be too anxious. : That only leaves driving it and considering if I drive it state to state with no rego it means I'll get arrested the only way to do that would be registered. Now - if I ask the previous owner in the state they are in to register it (and assuming they agree), then I can drive it down. After that can I transfer it to myself? Now will they charge a bs fee or isit standard changeover and you just pay for a new plate? My other question is - I've never had a car that wasn't registered already - when you rego a car without rego you need to go over the pits and get a blueslip right? (NSW) or can you just get a pink slip if you have a freshly complianced car? Anyone been through any of this? Thanks for any thoughts in advance!
  25. Any filter without a cover is defect because it can catch fire. That's the reasoning - my mechanic told me why it's stupid- something to do with the fact EFI cars won't spit oil that way or something but thats why it's not legal.. Just put it in a box with cold air induction anyway
