  1. heh hope you haven't wired "illumination" to the illumination LOL I've seen that done before - it blows whenver you turn the lights on. But yeah what has been said above I can't add to other than that (dont connect "illumination" to illumination).
  2. i want one with a thermostat so i can take it to the snow once a year or wahtever... fatz one looks dodgey (no offense fatz im sure it does the job) - i might end up getting one cos it seems a good deal and all but yea ... i'd like to see it first so if anyone in sydney won't mind showing me one that'd be appreciated. (Also gives me an idea where i could fit it).
  3. Man i'd like to know also so if anyone can let us know please do.
  4. He owned nark's ceff? whowa thats nice - he didn't seem too happy on the day tho. I think thats Izumida.
  5. Thanks for confirming what I thought heh heh. I may have to keep hunting for that brand name or quality local one. Drift car - I'd rather be safe than sorry ;P Ta!
  6. DOH para!!! doh doh !!
  7. I stand corrected perhaps then. I don't remember much.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...2488924736&rd=1 Good bad or ugly? I'm thinking it's one of those ebay items that only sell on ebay cos it sucks.
  9. Please ceffo it's "cc" someone just stole it hehe Krawler - nice syntax. I just generate that stuff with editors these days but nice nevertheless TooMUCH - cruise with ceffo and me im waiting for my car too.. hopefully approval will come through next week sometime and all goes well.. I'll consider myself one lucky **** if the wharfies don't get to my gauges and stuff.
  10. Crossovers I just put in the box. My ones are made of some crazy material that don't rebound any sound from the actual speaker so thats good news. If you do put em in try to mount them so the speaker doesn't deflect of it.
  11. Roy, I haven't done drift days and never owned a drift car, but intend to as soon as the import approval gets here - but here is my answer Can't help you about the cost - I play to be getting el cheapo tyres from the wreckers. Obviously it's not that good to get thin and cheapo tyres because you'll just spin everywhere but it has to be matched to your car/style/speed/power. When learning I aim to put the tune down and use cheap tyres.. thats just me though. Don't know about track time - I don't believe it is timed however. I believe they said at driftnats that every friday night will be open at driftland OP for drifting. Clutches I would assume would depends alot on driving style but I think it would be from bad to worse. ie. stress on your clutch but alot worse if you use clutching in your style. Diff .. I would recommend you get a chunky diff so it's built to take the stress. I wouldn't like too many whole days with a stocker. In the 'drift bible' dvd from that drift guy says if you drift once a week have it rebuilt every month. Sounds like good advice if slightly expensive. For the tyres letting go, just get cardboard and duck tape it under your guards before you go on the track. My biggest personal fear is getting that inertia and not being able to tip it back and bending my suspension going up the gutter of the inside - that's just me though.. Hope to see ya out there soon! Oh - also if you set up your car for drift then I don't think it'd be the best circuit car so you'll have to get your settings setup to change if you want to do both. (Things like pineapples set to anti-squat and your camber settings etc.)
  12. haha i thought it was mad! actually i said to my mate "damn those are fat tyres.. has to be hard with those plates.. mind you why would you pay to get your engine spec when it's the stock engine?" LOL exact words! nice car tho!

  18. I thought the standouts of the day for me - - definately the hardcore 86's that just had the hardest angle of attacks. - definately the D1 guys for getting into any car and ripping it up hard. - the cefiro guys for showing the ceffies!! (and losing his front bar) - the NA 86's for being NA and doin it hard - the D1 guy doing the doughies out the window (http://www.pshhht.com/albums/driftnats/DSC01232.JPG) - D1 guys tandem donuts - D1 guys for being cool (even the mechanics) (http://www.pshhht.com/albums/driftnats/DSC01257.JPG) << being cool nuff to show me his ORC tattoo across his back (yes he has Ogura Racing Clutch tattooed on his back) - the WA ceffy guys hookin ceffo and me up with a great sticker (the punched out cat like in my avatar) - a couple of honies that looked cute that weren't barbies woot! O_o Hope everyone had fun!!
  19. I met the owner of east bear tried to sell me the r31 house r31 heh heh - i got invited to his workshop too w00t. There wasn't any clear shots of if cos when I was there there were lots of people around it blocking it and there are shots of it on their website. The owner of east bear said his friend the owner of r31 house made that car for this event only and it's to stay with powerplay for a while. If noone is going to buy it in aus they will take it back. Apperantly they only got the turbo fitted and finalised Thur morning!! That's crazy. He also hinted at a pricetag of aroun $60,000 (unless my understanding of it was bad with my broken Japanese).
  20. Go Go JK! Spoke to your crew from WA they're a friendly bunch!! They were delivered and picked up so it all worked out good on ya guys. Tell ya what JK you got a great crew - ceffo and I were there and one of your boys gave us some stickers I've been lookin for for ages so let them know it's goin on my car soon as I get it and figure out where to put it. w00t!
