  1. A white 34 gtx at Maroubra Junction yesterday, cutting off a fiesta and nearly causing an accident...
  2. Welcome Butch, better late than never!
  3. I got my studs directly from Nissan as well, oem around $4 each.
  4. ^+1, same for me. Also by doing this, it'll look neat and won't be sticking out.
  5. I might just become a member now that there is a clubhouse where bikies hang out... lol On a serious note, this is a great idea and Rydalmere is not too far from where I hang out on the weekends either. Have to member up!
  6. It 'may' fix the common roundabout problem of people entering from the left lane, but continues to turn right causing the car on the right lane that's going straight to stop quickly to avoid an accident. This always happens at the Kingsford roundabout and it shts me to tears. Nowadays I always go straight in the left lane so grandmas and soccermums won't give me a lovetap on the side of the car.
  7. To cops they're probably thinking "schweet, saves us time from doing random stops on those imports.... let's go grab a beer instead..."
  8. Omg I think that may have been me?! If it is, my spotted virginity is now broken!
  9. Ricky as Johnnilicte said, just stick to NSW cause it won't be worth the hassle nor the money to get the car re-rego'ed here in NSW. Also bear in that if you get it re-rego'ed, from memory you'll have to go through the whole blue slip process again. That means more things will be nit-picked and you will have to fork out even more money to get the car back on the road with NSW plates. When it comes to previous accidents, the way I see it is that the panels are like the clothes of the car. Clothes will always have a chance to be damaged, but so long as the rails and the inside 'guts' of the car is tidy and the repair job is good, then that's all that matters. Remember most of the cars that you'll be looking at will be 10+ years old. I highly doubt there are liners out there at that age that hasn't had even one minor prang, unless it's never been driven and was stuck in a garage somewhere in Japan. Sometimes you may get lucky and find a good example for a good price straight away. Other times you may just have to be patient.
  10. Maroon 32 GTR, NOT-XXX, along the City West link heading towards Parramatta Rd.
  11. Took out my wheels to bleed the brake fluids and found two bolts in the front are about to die. Does anyone know what is the size of the front wheel oem bolts for S2 R33 gtst?
  12. The car that you look at should be dictated that how far you're stretched with the $6k in your wallet. Are you bang on $6k when you get a car or do you have room to move north of that? Bear in mind that a $6k car will never be just $6k. You need to factor in other sunk costs as well such as insurance and rego. Also there will always be something that needs to be fixed on top of the car price. If you DIY, great cause you can save money. If not, then another money sink hole. I got my 33 gtst for a great price and it came as clean as they come nowadays. Having said that I still had to put in extra money on top of the price to get a few things totally neat. If you're on the Ps, might be a good idea to get a little run-about that you can have a bit of fun with for the time being. Once you're off your Ps, then you can go wild, and by then you'll have more coin and cars that you want are even cheaper.
  13. Straight from the man himself. Offer in my pm is still there if you're still interested.
  14. +1, beat me to it. But if you do use sikaflex, make sure you double check the alignment of the kit and might even be useful if you mark it out, cause once it goes on it'll be very hard to pull off once dried.
  15. As mentioned previously, 235 front and 265/275 rear. I'm running 18s in the same combo right now, but have 235 all round (bought the car like that). 235 on 9.5" does not look too stretched, but 255 are the more common size and you may potentially get a good price on them.
  16. ^ +1 But to some it up, ASI is a hit a miss. You either get a good one that won't leak, or you get one that does and get a brand new one as a replacement for free, and keep the sht one. If you are thinking about the 52mm, please do yourself a favour and look into getting a slim-line fan as the 52mm will blow out to ~57mm cause of china-spec cbf measuring job. This also means you can't just plug and play cause the whole thing will be too thick.
  17. I remember reading an article before about the Datsun brand be revived so that Nissan can start targeting developing markets like Africa. But the brand will only be sold in those markets and not developed ones like Australia.
  18. Sorry to hear the outcome Ricky. I think it's a good idea to at least try and salvage your parts from the car. But I guess a lesson learnt from this is always assess your options first before contacting the insurance company, cause they WILL low-ball you one way or another.
  19. Hey mate you got the shift boot trim? If you do, how's the leather's condition?
  20. So are we going to try and attempt this meet again?
  21. Plenty on the web or off ebay. Just bear in mind if you are getting a china-spec rad, make sure you have enough clearance space buffer cause most of the times their measurements are off.
