Was a good day at least there was no rain... Had a few dramas with the old R100 front brakes were not really working that well, rear brakes are coming in hotter than front. So need to find a better front brake pad. Also after driving the GTR around on the street getting it ready for super lap then jumping in my R100 on Sunday for the sprint really wish the Mazda had RB power. The R100 gets to 6500rpm in fifth gear on the straight and just sits there at least turn one was a quick lift and turn in and back on the power. LOL Hope to make a few changes for the next round was a bit of pace all day...

I can see where you are coming from but your set in your ways and thats fine, As an insurance assessor i know alot of panel shops in Sydney, im not saying every shop is good and can to it theres alot that cant or to take it to a back yard block or small panel shop. There are some great repair shops in Sydney that dont charge double the price to do a job on a prestige car like the top end shops. Just cause they charge double the price dosnt means their quality is twice as good. Every one can have there own thoughts on this thats fine and people always says this shop is good blah blah blah, but from what i see and assess every day i know who in Sydney is able to repair what at a good price. Lets get back to the topic and find someone in QLD to fix this mans car.

Hi GT-ricer Its NOT bold statement, ITS THE TRUTH!. Sounds like youre the type of person that the top end panel like to rip off. I may drive a 20 year old car but you should have checked some post about me before you commented, my old GTR is one of the best R32 in Australia has won many car shows, and took out Best R32 GTR at the Skylines Australia 20th Anniversary car show last year. I have rebuilt the whole car and done a bare metal respray so I think I know what a premium paint job looks like, and what needs to be done to get a good paint finish. Also Im a panel beater by trade and work as an assessor for Just Car Insurance and have had no trouble having R35 GTR repaired in Sydney and not at top end panel shops. Like I said in my first post its not magic, its common sense, if you find a panel shop that is clean, has a new type spray booth and have a chat to the painter who works there, check out the way they prep the cars before painting an find out how often they clean and service they spray booth, there is no doubt they could do the finish as good as factory, Oh and Im not being a smarty but even on a good supercar, or what people call prestige cars I still pick faults in there paint job. But its up to you at the end of the day where you take it and who you want to listen too.

You don’t need waist money at a high end panel shop, any good painter - panel shop with a clean spray booth would be able to match it and get a good finish. It’s not magic, just common sense, the only this you end up with at a high end panel shop is them trying to tell you it’s a prestige car and cost more to paint which is crap. If you where in Sydney I could recommend a lot of good shops that would be able to do it and not charge silly money. But not sure of any in QLD but dont go and waist your money

Sorry to hear about this, sound like you should call your insurance company if you have insurance. If not call Prestige Motorsport in Lansvale pH: 97260505 he will have the parts you need and can do any panel beating, painting you need.

Just pulled my old Apexi cat back exhaust of my R32 GTR, is 3inch with Canon rear muffler 4.5inch tip. Only pulled off due to an upgrade that is lighter and cleaner and quiter. Has some minnor scuff marks on rear muffer but still all good, was still making 300kw with it. Pick up from Southern Highlands near Mittagong. Pm me if you are interested, ITS FREE!!!!! saves me going to the tip with it.

Will try and have few mates come along too. non skylines.

There is a ARDC supersprint the weekend before on the 16th is a round of the CAMS Supersprint Championship, would be hard to enter unless you are registered in the Supersprint championship as you get first preference, but worth a shot. I will be running the Mazda R100. When i get entry forms will let people know and then you could contact the ARDC.

Will be busy this weekend, will try and arrange something with you another day..

Trying to find a factory front engine tray for a R32 GTR, if you have one laying around from a front cut let me know, would perfer Sydney so i can pick up as postage would cost a bit due to the size.

I also have a pair, have some Toyo RA1 Semi Slicks on them half worn, if you buy the other pair will sell you my ones for $300 im in Sydney too.

Im keen, hope its on a weekend im not racing but.

I always look at the Bolts and Nuts on the Engine and Suspension, can always tell if they have been removed after the factory have done them up. Even can tell if body panel have been off and on like bonnet, guards and so on.

Car also ready to run sitting on trailer, I really dont want rain so i can bed in my new slicks.

Found the image with a heap of old Sports Sedan Images when trying to find History on my R100 Sports Sedan so was surching under sports sedan trying to find it.

Was thinking that as well, but was unsure due to the body kit. will change the topic title.

Found this image of a R31 race car when looking for old sports sedan results on the internet. Anyone know this car? Where and when is raced and what class, looks like an old Group B car? But can't find anything else....

Has anyone got any feedback on best camber to for use the KU36 on a R32 GTR
