  1. Well this is where the 1/10 scale Winfield GTR ended up, thought I would let it spend some quality time with the winning GTR before it moves inside on display and for our baby boy that will arrive in next few weeks to play with when he grows up. Looking forward to see some more video footage looks great so far
  2. Wow what a great day, even thought the weather was not the best. Big thanks to Terry and the SAU members who made this day happen was great to see so many Skylines in one place and be part of it. Here are some images of the day

All red and shinny again Hope it dosent rain now.
  5. Will have a few towels ready, any doctors going on the cruise just in case Also any one every found a baby seat that fits neatly in the back of a R32 GTR?
  6. Well due to bad weather in the Southern Highlands today was able to get some polish on the GTR and had time to fit some retrimmed leather seats as well Hopefully better weather for next weekend and my partner Bianca can hold off giving birth to our first child who will be 36 weeks pregnant sitting in the passenger seat on the day. See you all soon.
  7. That’s true there should be no WOVR put on the car but a lot of assessor just put them on the cars as the company they work for tries to enforce them on all total loss cars saves them getting fined. It’s the RTA guidelines that make it not mandatory if over 15 years old unless it has major chassis damage, but if they do write it off make sure no WOVR is on the car. Got any images of the damage on your car? I work for JCI as an assessor fell free to PM me to discuss further if you want help on best steps to take.
  8. What Insurance company is the person that hit you with?
  9. Have plenty of photos of our Red GTR if wanted can email in high resolution too. The pic of Duncans R35 at superlap is great can contact him to get the one in full resolutuion. Cheers Brian
  10. I have my Mazda R100 Sports Sedan insured with Shannon's. it's covered for $25,000 and cost $125 yearly. Covered if it catches fire at home or damaged while at a mechanic shop or in transit + I have salvage rights too keep the car. Only time it's not covered it once it's powered onto the race track. Once the Value of Historic Sports Sedans pick up more will give them a call the up the value again.
  11. Ok fantastic, at least I know what part to replace. BIG Thank you to chook and Duncan for you knowledge and research. Will try and locate a replacement one to put in the car on Monday and keep people posted if the problem is gone may takes a few weeks or months to be 100% sure as it has come and gone a few times over the last year. If anyone has this part lying around (I know it’s a long shot) Can I buy it please. Will call Nissan on Monday see if they have any also.
  12. Had a look at the unit next to the steering column and fuse box, part number is 31038 which seems to be another unit from the A/T from the parts dig posted above. VIN is 6U900WGNC34126952
  13. Would like to say thanks for the help so far, was getting all happy thinking was on my way to fixing the problem. So pulled off the Drivers side kick panel and......... have no Shift Control Unit there???? Here is a image from my car let me know if you can see it. I will fell very dumb if you can but does not look like its there? Any other suggestions before I start pulling covers off the car from everywhere.
  14. Anyone have any info on a Shift Control Unit for S2 Stagea, I have owned this car for around 1 year and tow my race car with it. Over the last year the A/T dash light has come on dash when i was towing on the freeway. It lost drive and just free revved. Pulled over and turned car off. Got out checked fluid was all fine, restarted car and kept going with no other problems. After this went and got the auto serviced but they found no problems and even said the fluid was quite cleans that came out. Was all going good for a few months but now the A/T light seems to come on the dash more regularly, all i do is pull over turn the car off restart the car and goes fine again for a few weeks. So I looked up and done the diagnostic check that is on the forums, it’s come up with one fault which is 13. Shift Control Unit. So has anyone had the same problem or know where the Shift Control Unit is located, I don’t have a service manual so have no idea where to start looking. Any help would be great.
  15. How much filming fits on a 8GB Card. 1 hour, 3 hours or all day?
  16. The front fenders are made by the owner of the car Steven at Prestige Motorsport Aust. based in Lansvale Sydney, stock guards just cut and a R35 GTR Badge moulded in and the black mesh fitted behind. If you are from Sydney you can go have a chat to him im sure he will make up some more if ther is some intrest out there for them.
  17. Well I took a good friends V35 out for a run on the weekend as he never uses it. Here are some photos of it up in Jindabyne. Now it’s time to sell the thing to buy another project we can use on the track. But I must say it’s a very nice car to cruz around in really enjoyed driving it. Hope you like the images...
  18. Very advisable to do an advanced driving course, and take your mate as well who damaged his car by hitting a gutter in your other post. If your Uncle is a mechanic I’m surprised he let you keep driving the car with low tread on the tyres that were not road worthy. I really hope you do something about your driving skills and make your car roadworthy before you hurt someone or kill them while driving.
  19. I usally fax it and send them an email and get a reply within the day to confrim they got the entry, the email address for ADRC in on the entry form
  20. What a shame its a 4 door. Would have known a buyer other wise.
  21. Well back to some chit chat about work getting done on cars, with still over a month till the next round what work are people up too, any new mods? Im fitting a new race seat, and will try a bigger fuel pump, jetting on the weber and some dyno time so I don’t run out of fuel down the straight. Hope to get into the 1:47 then.
  22. Great images, i own the Blue and White R100 Sports Sedan car #55 hope to see you at more rounds.
  23. Ok I have been competing in supersprints in NSW since 1999 was only 16 back then but have learnt a lot, so been there and seen a lot of rule changes over the years, and my has been supersprinting since father since 1992. Yes we all know my father in on the CAMS Panel but only for the last 6 years or so. The reason the rules changed over the years is due to cheaters and keeping all classes competitive for all cars. Back in the 90’s there was not to much that could beat a Clubman at the race track and we had a massive turn out of them at each round, they used to run in type 1,2,3 and 4 on slicks so you could image it would start to shit fellow competitors, also there was some WRX showing up in Type 2 with an exhaust and suspension mods claiming there boost was stock. At the end of the day you noticed that other cars starting dropping away and not showing up, like MX5, Commodores ect. Yes it was great for Clubmans and Turbo 4WD but I think if there was no change it would have pissed a lot of other people off. So this is when Small Volume (Type SV) comes along. I know this is a skyline forums so everyone here wants them to win but think of the other competitors running MX5, Holden’s, or even in type 3 Ipra cars, you can’t expect a under 2liter ipra car run to against a clubman or Duncan in his R32 Production race car up against a road car without a out boost restrictor and claiming they run stock boost with a hidden switch YES it has happened. So they got put in Type SV. If we allow EVO’s, GTR’S and Clubmans back into all other types would only piss more people off that who are unhappy now. In regards to the hill climb rules, Stuart maybe you can inform me of the rules if they have change and have Type SV? As I really don’t know and would like to as i was going to do a few hill climbs again soon, but my brother still holds the record at Huntly for type 2 0-1600 in the PRB on road tyres, I doubt it will be broken by a production car it’s a bit unfair really. Ok I have written enough now of why SV is around and its to keep other people showing up or we would have the NSW Clubman & GTR- EVO championship in every type well that’s my thoughts....
  24. Well this is a big News Flash, Formula 1 must have been keeping an eye on Duncan R35 at supersprints, F1 as of 2011 will allow adjustable controlled wings by the driver. Under new moveable bodywork regulations for next season, drivers will be able to adjust the rear wing from the cockpit as soon as they are two laps into the race. However, the system’s availability will be electronically controlled and it will only be activated when a driver is less than one second behind another at pre-determined points on the track. The system will then be deactivated once the driver brakes. It will be available at all times throughout practice and qualifying. This is the link to the site: http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2010/6/10935.html Looks like the NSW CAMS Supersprints is leading the world to change
  25. Not to have a shot at you but this will only make supersprinting more expensive, i would be at the engineers every few months updating my report for the GTR as i keep playing wit it. And really it would not pass emissions as alot of supersprint cars would not. Its just a waist of money. I think the Supersrpint panel only asked for an engineers report once when some one rocked up a few years ago with a 12A turbo Toyota Corolla to run in SV them ran it on slicks in type 4.
