That's one great photo Kory! What are the chances of getting my GTR in front of that back drop?

Thanks for the images Eric great work, was hoping to see some images of my R100 as this was the first time running on the 13inch rims and was trying to get tyre pressure correct, good to see the car working with rear tyre under a lot of load pulling of the rim. Wizard would be too concerned over not getting best lap times this time off the year at Wakefield Park lap time will always be slower as tyre temp and track temps are always down. I was struggling after 4 laps still only getting 48deg tyre temps and track temp was only at 16 deg.
-
Yes would be on slicks, but still be on a harder compound I would think as they are racing. Would love to see some times on very soft slicks or semi’s that would only last 1 lap.

Was looking at Natsoft results and from the creek yesterday and seen this: Allan Simonsen Lamborghini Gallardo 5212 A 8 12:52.3149 1:28.0570R Doing a 1:28.057 in a 8 lap race is dam impressive, may need more GT cars to enter World Time Attack like the little Lotus

S A U N S W - Wakefield Trackday Number 2 For 2011
GTR32G replied to N1GTR's topic in Events Archive
Yes saw all the action on the way home, had two police cars come past me travelling up to Sydney doing well over 160kph, another 4 mins up the road they were set up on the other side of the road with the spikes ready to deploy sitting on the cop car bonnet. Would have gone another 3 mins up the road and could just see in between the trees in the middle of the road a car flash by with cop car and sirens going as well. Wanted to go back to watch all the action would have been a good show. -
S A U N S W - Wakefield Trackday Number 2 For 2011

Great run day, thanks to RENEW & SAU members that organised it! Funny the top 4 SAU cars are not Skylines one was even a Mazda buts it’s ok Neil I still support SAU driving an old rotor , where are all the fast Skylines hiding? -
Simple answer is NO, not road registered will need a CAMS log book, to many exhaust shops building cages that don’t comply with CAMS and are unsafe.
-
My brother was driving the Turbo PRB Clubman done a PB of 1:39.1 Still need to do some more things to keep up the pointy end of the field still, this will be done late this year ready for next year to shake up SV and become the fasted clubman only .4 seconds of that now and not using slicks.
-
Feel free to use any of these, MatBoy will have the original of the group shot R32-R35 I better put in for holidays for this event too, maybe our new track car will be finished as well.

Well if someone wanted to pay $32,500 for my R100 Historic Sports Sedan I’m sure I would upgrade to this Viper very quickly think i would part with our GTR as well then. I also had to look twice at that sticker on the steering wheel. Its funny there’s one very quick car doing 1.38 at the creek in the CAMS Supersprints that has a small map of the race track on his steering wheel LOL.

Any Factory Red Gtr's Out There - I'd Like To See Them
GTR32G replied to Marko R1's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Maybe some would know more info on this or correct me if i am wrong but there was 560 NISMO Group A Evolution build maybe some where red?, and only 228 N1 cars built. This is all can find on them but built my car to look a bit like the Group A version. Can anyone translate the writing in the Group A pic from above? The Skyline GT-R 'Nismo', introduced on February 22, 1990, has a total production of 560 units as required for the "Evolution" models regulation (over 500). Its purpose is to homologate a number of aerodynamic changes used in Group A racing. Changes include additional ducts in the front bumper to improve airflow to the intercooler, a bonnet lip spoiler to direct more air into the engine bay, and an additional boot lip spoiler to provide more downforce. The Skyline GT-R 'N1' model, introduced on July 19, 1991, was designed for home-market N1 racing with a total of 228 units produced. The most notable change was in the engine, which was upgraded to the R32-N1 specification. The car was also lightened by the removal of the ABS, air conditioning, sound system, rear wiper, trunk carpet, and the use of light-weight headlights. No color options were available and all 'N1' cars were delivered with a thin layer of Crystal White paint. The result was a 30 kg weight savings for a curb weight of 1,400 kg. Production figures Standard Cars = 40,390 NISMO Group A Evolution = 560 V-Spec = 1,453 V-Spec II = 1,303 N1 Race Version = 228 Total = 43,934 -

Was looking over the images that Bianca has taken, thinking more about how things panned out and where the300z has ended up in the accident, in regards to the comment of the car making the corner well it did get along way around and with no brakes or very little has done dam well to get that far around the corner in the first place, must of had some amount of brakes as entering a corner with no brakes and trying to slow the car down using gears would most likely spin the car in the braking zone from a compression lock up. I believe after looking at my images more the 300Z may have gone in a bit too hot ran very wind with under steer, once on the grass the 300z would have most likely regained control when he drove over the pit exit road and driven back onto the track, but Eric was in the wrong spot at the wrong time and was hit in the right rear by the left front of the 300Z meaning the 300Z was almost straightening out his understeer off the track? I see the 300Z has one video camera on the roof and one on the left side skirt would be nice to see some footage to clear things up and back up Greg's stories but would not prove much at the end of the day what has happed did, and let's get on with getting both cars back on the track again. As for the fire in the 300Z there was a fire ball that came from the left side just after impact but a lot of coolant made some steam after the car came to a stop but could not see any other flames after the car stopped. I have emailed my images to Eric today and have his ok to put them up his main concern was people seeing the images may turn new comers of track days, I don't think this is the case and would make people think twice before doing something silly to see the carnage it will cause

Hankook Z221S Vs Ao50's/re55S/dz03S
GTR32G replied to HKS26T's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
As to the times from Kalis in the EVO, he also has gone wide body with wider wheels and track from last year so could be a combination or upgrades? But I’m watching people on Hankook’s very closely as well to what tyre will be best for time attack. The 26th Feb at the creek was a very worm day with very high track temps so maybe it did suit the Hankook’s more will be interesting to see feedback from cooler day eg winter at Wakefield. Anyone know track temps that the japs would see at their time attack events? Will look forward to reports once you have tested them also Steve keep us posted with results. -
May just have to watch you don’t dig a hole for the SAU or the owners of Wakefield Park, from information I heard from someone who looked at the 300Z after the accident found the whole pedal box had broken away from the floor due to poor mounting and under sized bolts used. So maybe the brakes didn’t fail the pedal box was bent up and could not get to the brake pedal very well but maybe the driver did all he could. Unfortunately as any accident on the race track people pay for their own cars. Doesn’t matter who’s at fault. I know it’s harsh but that how’s it’s always been. As to seeing a solicitor could get very messy, if the 300Z was not CAMS log booked who done the scruitineering to check the car was safe to run on the track and signed off the brakes are all ok? SAU? This is why the CAMS Supersprint Championship does not let cars run that are not CAMS Log Booked. To let none road registered car with no CAMS log book onto a race track is a big liability to everyone and could stuff up other track days. Even if the car is Log Booked who checked the brakes in the morning scruitineering could be dragged into this matter if it’s goes to court and gets serious. I will speak to Steven who owns Prestige Motorsport (DRGTR) tomorrow and see what we can work out for you and will send you an email with some images of the accident Bianca took. Our family has been doing sprints for many years and been through what you are going through where someone runs into you for no mistake of your own and you end up with an empty pocket for a long time. Just have also remember the driver of the 300Z will be out of pocket well over 10K to repair his car and I’m sure he’s not happy over that, but SAU members will dig deep and help you out to see you at the race track again having fun!
