  3. your mechanic is correct, cars are designed to run with certain amounts of carbon deposits around the place, the trick in the old cars used to be to poor water down the intakes to clear excess build up. edit: shouldnt really dramatically effect your idle though unless it was making up for worn butterflys??

Well, i agree do what u like to your car if it makes you happy, that said, a GTR a badge is not rice or a mod its making it out to be something its not, covering something up whatever i dont see there is ne excuse, the first thing i did to my car when i bought it was remove the gtr badge from the boot, when i got a gtr grill i didnt put a badge on it cause even though there is a place for it, it looks better with something saying its something its not.

    Theres no debate, its just them stereo typing us and raising money for the ****wits to eat more donuts, im sick of it, but hey it doesnt seem to matter that i know over 15 people, names ages and address that do organised crime in my area alone, they would rather harrass jap car owners. But in the end we cantand never will change the fact that not just for us but for everyone the world is a ****ed up place for one reason or another. The human race is one that needs a rebuild. Soldier on what else can u do.
  11. mmmm when i was working as a mechanic i put a holden eco tech into one of those, i always thought that one in good nic would be a cool car just to cruise around in.

I killed my RB26 with 62000k's on the clock, my RB25DE had a 114 on the clock when it was layed to rest and still went like a dream, i got it with 50 000k's on it and cained it everywhere, lots of drag and track days and it did about 30 000k's with a 75hp shot of gas running though it, in the few months leading up to the engine conversion i was trying to kill it but couldnt, its gonna go in a project car next year.
  15. my first car was a VL with 17s, and a nice (free) respray, sold it before i got my leaners for a nice profit, bought the car u see in my sig, started off as a non turbo 2.5 ltr that ran a 14.0 with gas, then got turned into something unique early last year, still havent sold it, and i bought myself a 33 Vspec, parents helped me out a little with the NA 33 the rest i bought myself, and yes i do live at home and pay minimal board but im working full time while going to uni and earning reasonable money for my age so im making the most of it. Though i do plan to move out in a month or so as soon as i get the gtr back on the road.

Ok, im lost as to what to do to split the engine and gearbox, ive been told i go in through the whole where the boot is on the side of the gearbox and disconnect something before i can split the engine and gearbox, but exactly what i am diconnecting i have no idea? Pics, Description of how to do it diagram or link nebody? Much Appreciated cheers John
  20. no mate, if u find a pic of an auto ull find it has wiring there, its a the TPS plug for the auto, so it knows when to kickdown.
