mine idles that high all the time, stalls if i give it a bit and back off if the idle is any lower, maybe it thinks the aircon is activated?? does turning the AC on or off effect it??

when i bought blacky almost 3 years ago now they did a full inspection and picked up heaps of stuff i had no clue about at that stage, i got it for 130 too, due to the inspection i like cyrus got my car cheaper and with different mags due to spacer plates being fitted. Like nething you get both good and bad. Needless to say i wouldnt bother doing it again, i had a leakdown done compression test, fully inspected the last car i bought and it still blew up 5 days later... what can u do...

Funny you should say that, ive just rebuilt a 186 for a friend, cost us under 1g for completely fresh everything minus pistons and rods including a yellowterra head and chrome goodies, next is mounting the 1G Blower to it, should go quite well i think. We've been told it should make the same sort of power you mentioned and this entire conversion into my mates HR is costing less than 2g's includion the original purchase price of the engine, meybe we should all buy holdens??

Rb26's are not as bulletproof as people seem to think, i know this first hand, and as pentae said everything is hugely more expensive, mine blew up 5 days after i bought it and it was inspected by myself and a very good mechanic.

You are correct i built the V8 to turn heads and thats exactly what it does. yeah the GTR is all sorted now and running like a dream, huge con, fuel bill.. but nah thats cool man, i had the kit on the car 2 days when i did exactly the same thing, the front bar has been repaired that many times its not funny.

my R doesnt draw alot of attention at all, but then again i didnt buy it for that, the V8 in an R33 drew lots of attention, wierd looks and both for and against comments and i loved just seeing the confused look on peoples faces.

i would check the specs on the fluids ur using for there operating ranges and go from there.

My question is has nebody put there car on rwd dyno relying on an electronic torque control device ?? I did and the car engadged 4wd using a grid dash dancer and started smoking from the transfer case... the car now doesnt put enough power to the front wheels and is a pig to drive compared to what used to be. So two main questions: 1. Is there any other more reliable device that has been proven to work e.g. the hks ETC and 2. What fluid are you guys running in the transfer case. Ne help would be much apreciated. Cheers John

Cheers Geoff, i finally got the sucker back on the road yesterday with a pair of hks gtss's, modified fuel rail and malpassi and hks dumps though still a stock front pipe, made 220kw's at all 4 this morning which im stoked about, unfortunately though i cannot mod it for a while as the other party's involved may want to inspect the car for legal reasons, its a bit of a headache but really realeiving the thing works again.

ive used wiseco in quite a few of my race bike, seeyagtr, im surprised wiseco wont custom build a set for you, and yes i realise owning a GTR sends u broke, i think its merli who summed it up quite well, GTR=Money Pit

update on my shitter, turbos are off, strangley only the front turbo spat the exhaust wheel generally its the rear, nengun sent my new ones today so hopefully i wont be making a new post in hear netime soon. Rear turbo: Front Turbo:
