to check the pump, get some one to turn the ignition key on, while you lightly kink the fuel hose in the engine bay, if it pressurises and tries to unkink itself its fine, dont mess around in the tank for no reason. Also you should be able to hear it, stick ur head in the boot or under the back of the car and listen for it as someone else turns the ignition on.

i found this picture, im sure ive seen one of those engines before?? this should look almost identical to mine bar the pipe running across the front of the engine.

Yeah, it wouldnt be cheap if ur paying someone else to do it or didnt have a fairly talented mechanic living with you.

ive done a little more research on some american sights, mine made consistently around 240-250, with headers, exactly what those in the states make, so for a comparison the figures should be accurate. Stock injectors are good for around 520hp at the crank, tests done with a supercharger and totally stock everything including ecu gave around 280rwhp at 3-4psi, with headers a little over 300, at 5-6 psi with a ecu, fmic and headers 350-400rwhp.... Thats a stupidly impressive result, i think im gonna have to save a little faster

This is only for low volume and custom built cars, s13 being a low volume import comes into that catogory meaning it does not have to meet the ADR's. You cant argue i have my book i bought from the government today for 90 bucks, money hungry **** bags!

ok, just got off the phone to the engineer, he is more than happy to approve it if i first apply with qld transport to have the bonnet and they answer yes, there is no reason y they shouldnt for the reasons you just stated josh so im going to download the form now and take it in and see how i go.

no im actually on hold to get the list of engineers that approve fiberglass and carbon parts, as suggested by my engineer, unforunately he can do most things but not that.

my problem is, its illegal to cut the ribbing on the standard bonnet, but the standard bonnet wont fit over my engine dilema... my engineer said as long as when u modify the bonnet u make it just as strong as it was before its fine...

cheers guys, yes the avcr is in good working order but no i wont seperate. Ive had the car for a year and it was standard when i bought it, turbos have done less than 5000k's clutch even less, its an awesome buy, ive spent well over 20grand on it in the last 6 months.
