After having just been through this and doing a truckload of research Carbon Fibre Bonnet - Illegal and there is no mod plate u can get nothing. Too Low - Raise it, Coilovers are illegal as they do not meet ADR's Too Loud - Take it to an exhaust shop that can do Db readings and get it made quiet along with a form to say that its quiet. Blow off valve not connected to stock engine pipe - Blow off valves are not illegal regardless of where they are connected as long as it still meets exhaust emiisions. Insecure Air POD - This i was told was by a transport officer is a bullshit fine, there is no ADR or rule for it. Pillar gauges - Was also told by the transport officer that they are legal as long as they are not lcd displays and does not hugely decrease vision. I also have the light vehicle modifications hand book, not the pamphlet the big thing u buy from the government, and all the ADR's to back up what i have just told you.

Coilovers are illegal because they are not ADR approved..... quote the transport officer, some old fella that had it in for me.... Non of our cars are ADR approved, there ****en low volume imports... but anyway When it went back for re inspection i wazs having a chat to the younger guy that looked over my car and he said he would of passed it with coilovers. shane can u let me know how much they charge to modify the signal, maybe i can get the factory infinity dials to work properly if its not too expensive.

i fit them myself, but if i was doing it again i would be getting them to do it as the speedo never worked properly i broke a little spring in it. 50 bucks for calibration of tacho and speedo, and not sure if they did temp, fuel and oil pressure but they all seemed to work good.

theres a place on evans road in salsibury, does calibration and wil;l install the guage faces for you, linol otto calibrations, or something to that effect. Quite cheap too.

because turbos presurize the intake air, where as the intake air on an NA is sucked through, but not continuosly, it pulses at high frequency, the chamber acts as a damper and smooths the air being drawn through. there was a big right up and tests done a while ago in HPI, different sized ones give different amounts of power and torque, sacrificing power in other areas, and a decrease all round without one.

Well blacky went back to the pits yesterday, after have the stock suspension puyt back in, a spacer under an engine mount fitted, some fiberglass packing infront of the cat to make it super quiet accompanied by some expensive paperwork saying it was under 90dB's, a gas analyzer print out for emissions, new tail lights and front indicators and a few other bits and pieces. The guy mentioned my shift light was illegal and the rsm because it faced the driver, if they point straight down the center of the car they are legal. But after a brief look over the car he says thanks for making a good effort to correct the things we picked up on last time, dont care about that stuff on the dash ill clear your defects.... Hmmmm now the car had no highmount stop light, tyres were too large and stick out past the guards to name 2 of the many obvious things wrong with it.... but hey im not complaining.. just happy to be able to drive it again, none the less it went straight home, got loud again, and coilovers re fitted
