  1. Thanks guys, its a vortech V2 T Trim Blower.
  2. Hmmmm, it seems i cannot reply in any thread that i didnt start and here.
  3. Hey, It says for some existing threads that i do not have permission to reply. In particular some threads in the NA section. Ne help?? Cheers John
  4. Cheers guys, i get that alot about the inlet manifold, i think it was nissans way of trying to keep equal length runners...
  5. Im so sorry about what happened to yours Dan, ignorant little pricks... Did you ever find out who did it? Our legal system is f**ked, people who speed get harsher punishment then these little delinquents sp* that steel, harm others, destroy property... Bring out the vigalanty groups i say, not just for law breakers but for the corrupt cops too!!
  6. Its 4.5Ltrs, well now for legality and registration with a supercharger its been "destroked" to 4.38 its lighter then the standard RB, the whole car is only 70 odd kg's heavier and all that is from the gearbox that is the size of a small house. Though since then it has lost quite a bit of weight, if u read the thread i linked up the top, the whole car has now been gutted to bare esentials and things needed to be street legal.
  7. hahaha, umm we estimated it to be only around 70kgs heavier, it has modified swaybar mounts, steering rack, roll centers and JIC Magic coilovers, that out of the 20 or so skylines ive been in with modified suspension mine is still the stiffest even with the extra weight. Thats for track and street, i have a seperate set of shocks and springs for drag racing.
  8. RWKW's ?? ill let you know after its been on the dyno, i do have an aim in my head and a fair idea but im not going to claim nething incase it doesnt work out.
  9. Thanks mate, Im still going to lay claim to having australias first road registered V8 r33 skyline as my conversion was finished well over 18months ago now. An LS1 would be cool, but the staying all Nissan and having a more hightech lightweight engine for less cost was very appealing.
  10. it gets all sorts of wierd looks and both positive and negative comments, quite frankly i dont care about the negatives, i did it too be different, and have a quick street car, i achieved both and now its just gonna be quicker and have a neat little whistle.
  11. No sound sample sorry, there was a video of it going down the strip floating around, ill see if i can track it down.
  12. its hard to say mate from that pic, they look similar to some AMG's and Advantec's
  13. Thanks mate, im hoping for much better then 12's, its run 12.8 previously with a 75hp shot of gas, it will now be running slicks and has a stall convertor so getting off the line and traction problems should be eliminated. Im not gonna speculate on what it will run but it should haopefully be stupid.
  14. I used a vacume diagram from the rb26, its still a nasty thing to do, mine was free boosting at one stage.
  15. I figured this section of the forums gets more traffic and that my thread in the NA section was no longer valid as its no longer going to be NA. What do u guys think, see the link for more details --> Here
  16. I have my own reasons for going microtech and i dont wish to debate it. It was not an uneducated decision, i have played with a lot of big HP cars..
  17. I remember u saying something about that ages ago. Ummm the standard ECU can be chipped or remapped, but it would almost cost as much as getting my computer made...
  18. That would of been Neil and Warwick, its only a series one with series 2 front bar.
  19. when i was looking into different engine options i did some research and talked to my old boss (x race car mechanic) about 6 throttle bodies with tuned length trumpets. This option will give far better results then a plenum. The length and design of the trumpets will determin where and when the car makes power and torque, different options give different results. This option will increase power and torque but more notably markidly increase throttle response. To build a highpower NA engine, internals need to be light weight, lightening pistons, lightweight rods, knifeblade the crank, all balanced correctly will allow the engine to rev quicker more freely and higher... High revs is how NA's make power, match a suitable head capable of flowing enough air for the engine and you will have a great package.
  20. Yeah that was me at darlington. rob82: my house mate actually knows the guy that owns microtecch, and has had lenghty discussions about whats going to be the best root, they have new models arriving, and other options, to make a computer work with my engine.
  21. spotted today in the city about 1ish, nice purple r33 GTST with a cute blonde driving it, she took no notice of me inderstanably i was in dads SS, blacky is now off the road till its blown..
  22. haha i found it again, im an idiot, cheers huge!! Thermo fans arrived yesterday, ordered bov, innertubes for the slicks, radiator overflow tank, intercooler core, longer wheel studs all should be here by the end of the week. Supercharger arrived on monday, sent the crank/cam (yes it does both at once) angle sensor to sydney today for a computer to be built around it... its all coming along quite nicely. Looks like we finally found some good mount points for the supercharger, though its going to take some very clever engineering to fit it all up and make the brackets.... there isnt a hell of alot of space. Oil feed and dump issues have been solved by some quiet thinking over a few beers last night... Its all FINALLY HAPPENING!!! im so stoked to be working on it majorly again, i love it!!
