  1. are u kidding me... this must have been asked 15 times in the last few months... "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON" 3 inch is too big for an NA Line you will loose power, yes extractors make the car go harder, 2.5 inch is the biggest exhaust u should use.
  2. mmmm booked in on the dyno thursday night... See if we got the pulley sizes right and it makes the right amount of boost.... and if so... how it goes?
  3. Can forsee a few small problems with it... the rubber seals where the funny lookin manifold splits may leak.... Still have to put the engine damper on the calm it down... with the blower mounted so far to one side it ends up moving quite a bit, Fuel pump is farken noisy!! but i knew it would be.. mounted on the boot floor that now has no sound deadening.. All thats really left to do is pretty up the interior and do the cage... these are trivial though...

Fired it up last night, built up fuel pressure, turned it over and it idled like factory.. well it hunts a little with the blower and is a little rich... A test drive and some street tuning tonight.. Then a trip down the coast to be dyno'd.... It sounds unreal!!
  5. Yep, i drive the VX SS Ute work car, its bog stock, but feels slow, even though its not... Its just because the power comes on smoothly compared to when a turbo car comes on power.

  8. mine used to do a little over 200 with someone with a slightly more accurate speedo following.... though i wouldnt trust most speedos at that speed.. it used to it the rev limiter in 5th though..
  9. other rob: mine is the earlier model engine so i think it has 10.2:1 compression...? if not its 10.5:1
  10. hahaha yeah for sure rob. No updates for a while, sorta lost interest and drive for a little while as i had no idea when the computer was coming. But it left yesterday and should be here today. Hopefully fire it up for the first time tomorrow afternoon. Take it down the coast for a tune next week!! now im kinda of excited again.
  11. There was a flex tube, It didnt fit at he cat end apparently.. i want there when they tried it on. My Ces front pipe bolted straight up to mine... so i know mine wasnt any different from stock.. maybe something was out of wack with the other car?
  12. mmmm i agree with whats been said.. but i bought the thing last year right, obviously im a little younger then most in the market.. the thing i dont see is everyone here is an enthusiast and you bought as you said full well knowing the costs involved.. Where are the other people like us gone? When trying to sell my other car, i thought most would have jumped at it.. especially at the price i ended up with before deciding not to sell.. just cause it was so original... I dunno...

  14. Hey guys? Just wanted some opinions on y its so hard to sell skylines atm. I have a number of my own ideas as to y. I cant for the life of me sell my car and i dont think im asking to much... its definately one of the cleaner and cheaper ones around. But not only GTR's but Skylines in general. It just seems that the bottom has dropped out of the import market all together. Having said that, are there any suggestions as to the best way to try and move a car at the moment... I took it too a dealership to see what they would give me trade for it.. but walked away very disheartened. The lease on the house im renting is up in 3 months and i was going to use the GTR as a deposit for a house, and i dont really want to renew my current lease. So im not real happy atm. Any suggestions?? Cheers John
  15. I used to drift mine everywhere, uge can back this up wet or dry, and as he said you had to comit to the corner, alot harder in an underpowered car but more then possible.. The original diff was the best... till i smashed it, and none have since compared... the last 3 have been turbo ones but they didnt lock up as well as the original... i now have a nismo 1.5way mechanical.
