ill put my name down, should be all engineered by then

half cages and full cages are legal, Rules state they must not encroach sp* on front occupant space any more then needed and must be bolt it. They also must not make it any harder to get in and out of the car hence why side intrusion bars are not legal on the street. Cages not only offer protection but stiffen the car up shitloads, making them handle way better.

everything u need to know about them are is in the light vehicle modification hand book. By the rules jap spec cages are illegal if they do not go through the dash.

Thanks guys, please dont misunderstand why i built the car, it was and never will be intended to be the fastest 33 in oz, but more a really really tuff one that just makes people go WTF! which i have acheived quite well i think. And yes the car will go fast, i sold the S15 2 weeks ago so im going to rid myself of some debt and sety myself up for some more mods and research, next will be a completely custom made balancer in either 1 or 2 piece to incorporate the gilmer drive pulley for the blower, unfortunately my workshop has the machines, just not the machinests capable of performing such a task. gtst25: Cheers mate, yeah im not liking the wheelspin, matty spry's dyno is built into the floor, and i cant say ive ever watched him tie the car down, he said next time we'll put some weight in the boot and see how it goes... were currently deciding exactly what to do next, wether we go thicker headgaskets and more boost, or just methanol for the drags and more boost, personally id prefer to do both and hopefully get a whole heap more power for the street, not that is needs more, it fries the tyres 1st through 3rd off the throttle and its only got 4 gears, by that stage ur usually going way to fast neways... but i am an idiot and more is better. ill take some more piccies as the interior, cage, guages and car is basically finished and post em up in the next few days. -
in qld to be street legal cars have to have a bolt in cages not weld in.... as stated in the light vehicle modification book... the way around this is to do both, weld it in put bolts through it and hope for the best.

Just wondering if nebody is using an aftermarket fuel level guage and if so what ohms the nissans run..?? Im going to throw the multimeter on it neways, but just saves me the trouble if nebody knew? Really like to order one this weekend but the car is down at my workshop. Cheers John

im using a mitsubishi lancer one... works fine... just dont mount it inverted... i dont think they like vapaours sitting on them.

hehe, yeah, im sure i will find thos limits and the not too distant future. My slicks being 8 years old probably doesnt help, the new set wont be radials but im looking into those dot approved ones.. and going 1 to 1 1/2" wider. I think as it stands it will go faster with new slicks... but buying christmas pressies for everybody has put slicks on the bottom of my list of things to get at the moment... i need a better job!! haha.. Or to give up with the car... all its left me with is a maxed out credit card, large loan to repay, and an unforgetable ear to ear smil everytime it goes down the track.... yeah its worth it.
-
hehe yeah, but my injectors are still only at 40% duty, and i still have c16 and methanol as options combined with more boost will definately push the car into the 10's.... its just a matter of getting everything perfect again before moving onto the next stage.... atm the needs bigger slick as its fries them off the line and between 1st and 2nd.

sure was.

sorry buddy, just trying to reply to everything inbetween work, dont have internet at home so couldnt reply on the weekend. Will do now though. -
hey by all means, i have nothing against people having a blast on the M1, god knows ive done it countless times.... not for quite a while though.... but generally dont try and cause accidents... It especially pissed me off because it was the first time i have gone for a half decent cruise in 14 months as ive been on good behaviour.. makes me not want to bother...
-
If so, you are a tool! No. 1 Dont race on the M1 No. 2 Dont race in general cause ur car isnt that fast No. 3 If u do race dont cut people off at 110kph+ and then jump on the brakes. If u have a problem with ne of this i will gladly meet up with you somewhere and sort it out in person. You are knob~!
