UPDATE!!! Well guys the proof is certainly there, the dyno results did not proove nething!! Slightly less peak power and marginally more mid range you would expect the car to run basically the same time, with the extra weight that was pulled out of it maybe a marginally better time. But when put into practice the old exhaust system was choking the car in the top end, not showing up on the dyno becuase the car did not run for a longer enough period of time for excess back pressure in the exhaust to build up and become a problem. New Time 11.22 @ 123mph... Still more left in it in its current state, we can also put a little more timing on, but didnt get enough runs tonight to play with it. Basically just testing for winternats... Absolutely stoked!! In its current state i am quietly confident the a 10 Second pass is achieveable. This also means that after the nats, when we change to methanol and give it tube frame front end and fiberglass noes the car is definately going to be in the good part of the 10's without even touching the boost... Now for a Stock Engine that is absolutely amazing.. Methanol will only make it more reliable... Ill be keeping taking loads of pics and keeping a diary of all the work as a i have done to date with car. Absolutely stoked, again the blood sweat and tears have paid off, im still buzing 3 hours later!! Absolutely stoked!!

Hey dude, with a big body kit and 17 inch "heavy" chromies back when it was a 2.5 NA i managed a best of 15.8 and 14.01 with a 75HP shot of gas, car had extractors, custom intake, 2.5" straight through exhaust and a home tuned SAFC, also had a big fiber glass body kit.

not leaving dude, after winternats the car comes off the road to get a full tube frame end, and we are converting it too methanol, meaning ill be selling the injectors and just about everything that is on the front end of it. Neways Naturally aspirated the only way to make power is REVS and lots of them, i was talking to Sydneykid quite some time ago about this and he said that the problem with high revving RB30's is they seem to get some wierd harmonics through which will eventually cause excesive wear on just about everything.... cant remember if he mentioned neways to eliminate this best u pm him i think, he's super friendly and like a nissan dictionary.

yeah i was smoking, i dont know if it was pain that made it bad for me, yeah i was smoking, and had to put gauze sp* packs in my mouth to stop the bleeding for like 2 days straight... first two days were pretty blurry lots of pain killers, either way i hated it!! and july is good!

oh matty, i had that done about indy time last year..... i pity you, i reckon it was up there on the worst things ever list.... i still have holes where they should be, collapsed from hunger pain from not eating for a week.... mish... mouth so swollen and numb when i got home i could swallow the pain killers.... ok im stirring now, just remember 2 naprogesic and 2 panalgesics each time as required...

Thanks Cyrus OK: Shell be in issue 103 of Zoom so keep ur eyes out for it.... Exhaust finished, boot now has a flat floor with a big fuel cell ill try get some photos this weekend. Dyno prooved interesting, made less power overall. about 3 to be precise, but made a little more through the mid range (that the dyno indicated) took the car for a quick lap round the block... and it is definately going way harder then it was previously so i guess we'll just wait till i take it down the track on saturday to see if its better or worse. Things learnt though, need bigger ignition system, looking at a MSD DIS and big coils, gonna need some much bigger injectors and a second possibly 3rd pump for methanol, dyno tuner is confident that with methanol and more boost we could potentially see 200-300 more hp@wheels.... should make it go slightly faster.

Pay you say....?? hehe, no really i wish... I think the only road it will see is the one around my house and possibly a few industrial estates.... it pains me to say it... maybe it could take a few no number plate excursions... i guess...

Ill vouch for Mike at MV Automatics, hes done all the work to my bos and it hasnt missed a beat, making ~600hp at the crank, going to be pushing almost twice that soon... He seams to think the gearbox should handle it quite well... let u know how it goes.

Haha sorry mate just assumed it was you, howd yours go, was really liking that airbox looked super trick! my car is so loud now its rediculous, rattles your eye balls in ur head while ur in the dyno room, like when a top fueler goes past, it cause mats laptop to lock up like 6 times was rather amusing... Did u see the marks i left round the corner from mats, so long and so black, i got it into top gear with no brakes, i was proud...

Nice to meet you on saturday buddy. Sorry i couldnt talk more had to do a few things to the car. Congrats on a good result, My car made less power on satruday about 3 hp but for some reason it now goes a alot faster... picked up but loads of mid range smoothed the curve out, seems the dyno isnt always a perfect indicator of potential.
