Gearbox almost dead new one on the way!! NA_R33 10.38, 60:1.501, MPH: 132.66, 26 by 9 Hoosier Slicks, Methanol

Im running dragway indies 15 by 8's, ive gone back to single pot NA calipers to get the clearance.

They are around... JDM cars though and few and far between... S15's as eug said are very light so i imigane they would be compariable to a NA 33 or 34, they also got the new version SR with VVt.

I think your missed that his car is not NA, its a turbo.

its really a personal prefrence... if the skyline gearboxes are anything like the infinity which im pretty sure they are... you dont actually modify the valve body to manualise it rather an extra control bypasses the operations of the auto computer... about 60 bucks from MV automatics.. but with out a shift kitted valve body the shifts are still slow and sluggish.. Depending on how far u go with the shift kit u can make autos chirp gears during shifts just like manuals...

Cheers guys. There are always going to be faster cars mate... not everyone has the money buy a top fueler... Being where i am now and having acheived this much with such little money spent comparitively to alot of cars running similar times im absolutely stoked. I built the car to go drag racing in super sedan and thats what im doing with it... out right ET's do not win races consistancy does..

Hey Don, gearbox is yours if u want it... my PG should be here in a month or so.

My car ran the highest MPH ever... but the gerabox is getting worse.. Ordered the powerglide today... should be around a month away... and should pretty much put the car straight into the 9's!! FARK YEAH!!!

10.44 @ 134 MPH Gearbox is slipping more and more.... powerglide is on the way... Data logging showed were loosing at least .75secs to change from 1st to 2nd... new box.. hello 9's!!

Ill be there all day both days, only qualifying on saturday though, highly unlikely we'll get the car to go sub 10 to qualify for the extreme class... maybe if enough of you go up too Mr Box and tell him to let me race he will?? Ill be with a pink RX-3 and Pink Datto 1600 in the pits.. come say hi

Unbeleiveably, congrats to the guys!! We are thinking of raising the rev limiter for the weekend, see what it will do... Still doubtful it will go fast enough till the new gearbox is in.

If you buy one PM me i have a japanese digital MIVEC controller for one, its yours for 50 bucks, its plug and play so pretty simple to install. Great fun car.. you wont be dissapointed.

Cyrus: The chute is sitting on top of the bookshelf in my room... Its going on as soon as the new gearbox goes in.. cant wait.. Don: The sound of these engines with open pipes is nothing short of amazing, i promise you will not be disapointed. and yep!! bog stock original everything except for the waterpump... and the cam chain guides its done well over 200 000k's now.. which is nothing short of amazing.. Forgot to mention, i picked up hydraulink QLD for sponsorship and am curently in negotiations with Mr Muffler about major sponsorship and perhaps a colour change... Don: if you can make it out to Jamboree ill be doing 3 Qualifiers on Saturday but not racing as the car doesnt quite make the 9.99 cut off for the Extreme class just yet... I promise though its not far off

Was at the 41st australian nationals on the weekend. Set a new PB of 10.38 @ 132 MPH in the middle of the day.. was quite hot and relative altitude was up around 4000, so there is stilla bit left in it.. Though it has become apparent that we are again starting to over power the gearbox, its fine with street tyres the slicks are just a little too much for it. So after some more research we are going to go with a transbrake equiped powerglide... should hapefully get a considerably quicker ET out of it. Some pics of the car in its latest state...

Hey mate pretty sure from memory they ended up costing me a little over 200 bucks landed here... Let me look back through my records and ill tell u which Dealer in the states i got them from as i had to call quite a few of them before they would help or send parts international.
