I just traded my bike on a new skyline But in all seriouness how long is it going to be before the court system is backed up so far because of the huge number of people going in there for trivial shit issued by power tripping cops... Quick update on the shitter.. block is back from Mendhams, rings and ring grooves in place, heads should be ready next week, there also getting a tickle up while at the machinest, just about to order rings and bearings and should have the stally back next week, so within a month she should be up and running again, bring on the 9's

I personally dont think it would overally effect it, i drove my 33 round with non turbo rear brakes for ages on the street and its still that way now that its a full drag car with no worries, but dont quote me. wisshing i hadnt sold the twin pot rears now though Oh and cheers for the heads up on those rims mate ill check em out.

Im going with eugene, mine sounded terrible till i got a proper exhaust put on it, its a twin cam thing, do a search on exhausts in this section to get a better idea of muffler, resonator and pipe diameter to fix the problem. I also learned the other day, like a resonator a pipe can be added perpendicular to ur normal exhaust just to act as another expansion chamber.. honda uses this to deal with the twin cam resonance.

I've refrained from posting in this thread for a while. the guy that started it is an idiot. But seriosuly guys. power is far from a defining point of a good car. Cars are personal prefrence if were all created the same life would be f**ken boring, some people love NA engines some people like turbos. Some people can drive a piece of shit car round a track faster then an ego driven f**kwit in an aspirated car. Seriously this thread is useless. the answer to "WHY" is because they want one, for their own reasons, they need not explain anything to anyone so get the f**k over it!

Cheers mate, had a look at that but im back at uni now so funds are limited. Ran a 10.17 @ 131mph on weekend blew the head gasket... it seems we've reached the limits of the stock head gaskets.. i have some coppers sitting on my desk.. the block is off to be oringed all the good stuff from the old heads will be changed over to the new heads.. just trying to track down a set of rings and bearings and it will be back to the track. Also the new torque convertor is flaring to something like 6000 rpm and therefore running very inefficiently once this is sorted i can forsee easy 9's, bring on the winternats.

If its only since the battery went in i would say its a bad earth somwhere.. check your battery terminals and follow the negative side off the battery and make sure its still bolted to the chassis properly.

Guys might be best to take kerry road from beaudesert road... if u turn at the shell from granard road there are some serious road works going on with some nasty bumps.. wouldnt want to see bumpers or skirts missing before u even get there.

Timing belt and idlers.. depending on who you know you will pay anywhere between 150 to 300 bucks. I want to see the results of this build. What are you planning on revving it too?
