  10. Infact i lie, she should be at the nationals next month.
  11. Indeed, where aiming to have it run at street car shootout, with a revised supercharger drive system, and a few other goodies, should help to break that 10 second barrier.
  12. Mmmmm, was hoping to get blacky out there, but to no avail... Shes back together and running only to show up a split block Could grind it and weld it... but i dont know how much damage its done to the oil gallery's and i really dont want to destroy the new heads, crank, rings and bearings... Alas ill be racing the V35 so ill be out on thursday night.. its super consistant which is promising, but its not real exciting...
  13. Thanks for the replys. No radiator, the copper head gaskets do not have water jackets. So the heads are just filled with water and connected to a overflow tank to allow for expansion. Well after alot of work over the last few weeks today it all came together, but unfortunately we will not be racing at jamboree. The block we prepped and filled actually has a massive crack between cylinders 4 and 6 where the drivers side bank meets the valley. This is were the problem originated, unfortunately it was not picked up in testing, it appears that the head stud has tried to pull that section of the block away from the rest of it. Grout filling will hopefully stop this on the next engine. Fortunately i have another block, so it will be prepped and o'ringed and we'll begin changing everything over. Were also going to redesign the supercharger drive system to put less stress on the front of the crank. So we will now be aiming to race at street car shootout in about a months time i think... not sure on exact dates.
  14. With no water pump the temps are no higher than 92 degreese (celcius) shut down at the line and creaps too 110 after heatsoak... Running methanol which cools intake charge temps and a colder combustion (to my understanding?).
  15. Hahaha, its coming its coming, the machinests have beens stuffing around with the crank and block its... still not done, should pick it up tomorrow, wish we had the machines to do it ourselves at our workshop, one day.... Its going to be a full fill and the water will just sit in the heads, it hasnt run a water pump for a while. It runs for less than a minute each pass... its fire it up, burn out, run and shutdown.
  16. Yeah for sure dude, i think were gonna be camping out there and when were not ur welcome to stay at mine and the trailer is plenty big while were out there. Well i got ahold of some hard blok, so the block will be grout filled.. should hopefully have it running sunday, have been some delays with getting the crank ground... the workshop doing it couldnt find any specs on it, but thats all sorted now..
  17. Well, the headers are on, along with a full mandrel 2 1/2'' system complete with highflow cats and x pipe, threw a 350z carbon intake pipe on and my old k n n panel until the JWT popcharger and underdrive crank pulley arrive. The car feels heaps stronger right throughout the rev range, its in bad need of some resonators though as it as a very raspy twin cam resonance about it... But it most definately goes considerably quicker.. will try get it back out the drags sometime soon too see just how much better it goes.. NOTE: The ebay "Dry Carbon Intake" does not fit... its about 4-5inches too long.. i had to cut it down and even then it still isnt the best fit... Im going to email the seller to see if i can come to some sort of resolution but im not holding my breath... see pics below...
  18. Diesels dont need need oil do they.....
  19. Ditto! Im not saying it hasnt done it... From what u have told us it may well have had head work and u dont know it, possibly a reflashed 32 ecu that u dont know about but even then it is very unlikely that it would do those times, as i said freak cars that happen to get perfectly clearanced and balanced engine still wouldnt make this kind of a difference, and that is all so called "freak" cars are, this world is bound by rules and laws nothing is unexplainable. I dont care if your brother is schumacher, i am a fully sponsered proffesional drag racer, albeit i dont race every weekend even the HPI testers that do couldn't pull times close to what your claiming. As i said previously i would love to see a time sleep but again, variances in RA and temp still dont make that big of a difference...
  20. Lol, at least its not something serious mate maybe check the oil level on the door
  21. I have no doubt there are freak cars out there and have a very good understanding of how and y it occurs. My car had headers, Tune, as mush timing as it would take custom cold air... When HPI did the NA supra Vs. Skyline Article the test drivers couldnt better a 15.7, A blueprinted engine with the same mods is not going to run over a second faster, especially with heavy rims and tyres... Does the car run these times consistantly, or was it a timing glitch?
  22. Cool thanks mate.. i thought it was black.. i thought it had been resprayed, thats really all i was after.
  23. Sorry to hear, I'm hoping so, stally sorted flowed heads, fresh engine for 0.18 of a second... but im not going to jynx it... God knows ill be doing back flips if it happens!!
  24. Try East Cost Road Worthy's tell them your selling it too a mate shouldnt have any dramas...
