  1. I have the same rear wing, they are different to normal, but I cant work out why mine has it with the standard kit, its not a Dayz or anything. Also, I will be moving to the mainland for work for three months in March, but dunno if Melb or Syd or if will be able to take my car?? Oh well, see how things go I might be at least half way in that direction, chances are I wont be though, but I want that kit ....
  2. Actually, I've heard the fronts off a Pintara S/W will fit perfectly..... But seriously, rebonds sound like the best option I've heard, I just like to look around first to see if there is anything better. If like me, you knew nothing about the brakes yourself, surely you'd do the same???
  3. I wonder how hard thatd be to post to Tassie (and vice versa)?? As thats exactly what I've been looking at getting..... If all else fails its proabably worth thinking about!!
  4. Has anybody replaced the calipers with S1 front brakes?? Surely this will be a much cheaper, safer and easier option in the long run. Assuming its all possible of course??
  5. I've just been told that my fronts need replacing, and mechanics cant find the replacement parts, so I'd be interested to see how this goes. Great work guys!!
  6. Excellent work mate, nice to see another Stagea in these parts. Leave our women alone next time though .
  7. I'll see if I can find find the time to scan the booklet in at work, it may take me a while to get round to it though, but keep on my back, be glad to do it, just damned busy!! The button to the left of the steering wheel with the "S" is to do with the AWD system. The AWD defaults all the time to 95% rear wheels, 5% front. So dont back off going around a corner, cos it'll revert back to RWD before it gets a chance to think about engaging the front. It shifts the power to where it is getting grip, and on take off will shift some power to the front. The "S" button simply resets the default power split to 50% rear, 50% front. Ive only used it to go flat out up my parents drive way, so much GRIP!! You must have an S1 as your button next to your shift is diff to mine, so I'm not quite sure, except the snow button basically keeps the revs low by not changing down gears, ie will not use first for example. The Stagea discussions will have most stuff. Post some pics, the Dayz kit is nice....
  8. Hi - Have you got the car yet?? What you reckon of it?? There are not many of us around, and I dont know anything about getting the towbar fitted. However, as part of compliance I do have a manual of sorts that is in english, it is small but has the important bits, you may have one of these. Let me know if you are interested in taking a copy, or if you have any typical "what does this button do?" stagea questions....
  9. These are always a crowd favourite:
  10. I've been reading everybody's comments in regard to the xenons in this thread, and also the thread where the guy was asking about his headlight level switch. I imported my s2 earlier this year and they did not change the headlights at all, it still has xenons and the light level adjustment works?? I asked them at the time if they have to replace them (as they did on my mates R34 GTT a year earlier) and they said the rules have changed and they are okay now?? I dont know if the compliance workshop was dodgy or this is actually the case, but either way, I got xenons!!
  11. Yeah, they seem to have them for individual cities, thats the Kyusyu one: Would look tops on my white stag too...
  12. Id be in on the original style sticker too, in maybe the t-shirt (I would rather black with white writing though, to be picky....) Although, I really like this one, add to the "wtf factor" with the Japanese writing on a sticker. Sorry about the size, but you'll get the gist. Maybe Stagea Web for Advanced Tasmanian's?? Not that there are too many of us down here driving stags....
  13. I got this on email too. I've got an AW11 MR2 (fuel filler on the passenger side), and the picture of the petrol bowser has the handle on the right side. So both pictures on the MR2 dash and Stagea dash the same, even though fuel tank on opposite sides!! So IMO its not true.....
  14. $8,600 in the end. Sounds like it wasnt in top condition so its not too much cheaper than normal, but its still a 98 with only 101kms...
  15. Just on a side issue, but related, I am currently experiencing coil pack problems (according to the readout when they plug into the ecu) and I am getting about 300km off 53-55 litres a tank, with about 60% city driving. The car plays up and the engine warning light comes on occasionly. It is also running a little rough under accelleration and lacking a little bit of balls. Please dont laugh at my reference to Hobart being an actual city. I have achieved over 450km to a tank before (its a totally stock series 2) and I hope that the coil pack issue is the most likely cause of the fuel issues. I want to pose a question, are those people getting decent fuel figures running after-market coil-packs?? Are those getting crap figures running standard Nissan issue coil packs?? If the standard coil packs playing up cause this much of a problem with fuel, it might be something worth investigating?? Plus It might help me decide what to replace the coil packs with....
  16. This is going to go on page 100 isnt it? I think it is, either this one or the next one. If this isnt it I'll let someone else take the glory.
  17. MR2 is almost sold, very close now.... Its a bit like fishing, getting a lot of bites but nothing has actually been hooked yet. Yes, MR2 very prone to a bit of spin if your foots as heavy as mine, the AWD of the Stagea kills all the fun, you just get understeer. Seeing as though this is the spotto thread, I'll add another: On Sunday arvo saw a red series 1 stagea at the railway (fountain) roundabout. The Stageas appear to be multiplying, seen two in a week now!!
  18. Spotted another S2 Stagea, grey/silver stock looking. Have never seen one actually moving on Tassie roads before, excpet my own of course..... Was in Moonah, passing the Hong Kong restaurant to be precise.
  19. www.jds-auto-imports.com There was actually a S2 for sale down here recently, not sure what happenned to it. JDS have (or had, not sure if still there) a S1 with leather and sunroofs in stick in Hobart showroom, think it was 13K or close to it.
  20. It was through JDS auto here in Hobart, once you set the budget, they know how much Yen they can spend, and they search the auctions. They emailed me a heap of cars, and i said which ones to go for.
  21. Just to bring up a previous conversation, it looks like the Stagea Ute has been built, I quite like it, kind of pointless, but funny anyway:
  22. I love it!! Auto is a bit crappy I think, it sometimes searches for second, but if you put it into tiptronic (I have the R34 Neo) that solves that issue. Will look into getting an aftermarket Auto ECU one day. Oh, or spend another 10k and get a manual. I set a budget of $16,000, that is total price imported, shipped, complianced, delivered to Hobart. This was highest auction grade possible for that age vehicle, and was perfect inside & out, slightly hish Ks at 88,000, but no wear at all to be seen. I think the coil packs have gone, but i havent serviced it and it still on the original platinums so its prob just the plugs. Really love the twin sunroofs. With the exchange rate at the moment this car would have cost 15K by the way, they have really come down in price recently.
  23. You're not going to reach 100 pages posting like this fellas.....
  24. Nice day for it!! Would have joined you guys if i wasnt still passed out after Friday nights efforts..
