  1. Decent S2 for $15k here (ADL) definitely not. I got mine from Melb, 2000, S2, RS4S, 83kms, with Dayz bodykit from a dealer for $16k. I was the first owner in Oz. I can give you his contact if you want. Import yourself and I'm sure you'll definitely be able to get a decent one for that price.
  2. Good to hear! Mine's in the post. Along with Pivot boost gauge I got 2nd hand from the ns.com forums, i'll get Boostworx to install them when i get the car tuned next fri... I'm not much of a home mechanic although i do try. I'm aiming for 9psi/0.62bar so the occasional spike to 11psi won't kill my standard turbo!
  3. My thoughts exacly. Buy interstate, make sure it's stockish, get aquainted with it on the drive back to ADL, go for an ID check for transfer of rego, bob's your uncle. Exactly what i did. I even made sure the dealer registered the car in Vic, of which the refund i have just received. There's no way you'll get anything decent for $15k here otherwise, not series 2 anyways. If you're located near Payneham/Marden i can take you for a drive.
  4. I cut it completely and grounded it for mine.
  5. Ok cool, it'll have to wait then. I should really get a turbo back zaust first though. I actually quite like the look of the standard twin pipes though.
  6. Looking at a Apexi SAFC with loom and mount on ebay. According to the seller "It does not say anything about r34 Skyline, however, in the section about Skyline it says RB25DET year model 08/1993, it shows switch setting for that motor and location of ECU in the car. Also a wiring diagram for that ECU. " Does that mean it's alright for the RB25DET NEO stagea? It's a pretty old one with the dials, no screen as the pic shows.
  7. Just wondering if it's worth getting a SAFC for my S2. Is it possible to get one 2nd hand for around $150? Doesn't have to have the flashy screen, just wanting something that'll help with fuel consumption.
  8. Bah... i suppose it wouldn't do any harm though? Seeing I didn't reset ecu when i changed the panel filter maybe i should anyways?
  9. Got the NGK/NTK OZA395-E2 from Petroject in Stepney, Adelaide for $78. Unfortunately the plug didn't match so I had to cut and crimp the old plug to the new sensor. Didn't take too long but I would highly recommend getting a sensor socket, a lot easier i'd imagine! Apparently the original Nissna part cost double that. I was quoted about $160 for a workshop to do it.
  10. I read somewhere on the forums that sometimes the engines needs a week of driving to "learn" before you see any affects of the new O2 sensor so i will keep an eye on it. I don't have a multimeter so it might be something the mechanic does when i take it in for a tune in a couple of weeks. I'll try resetting the ecu though. Cheers.
  11. I changed the O2 sensor on Sat and so far haven't noticed any change in fuel consumption from the first 1/4 tank. Do i need to reset the ecu? I disconnect the negative terminal and stomp on the brake pedal a few times right? Is there anyway of checking the O2 sensor to see if it's connected alright? My crimping skills aren't very flash Car is a S2 Stagea, RB25DET NEO. Thanks!
  12. Located in SA. Was going to call them (the insurance co) but thought i'd check first. I'm pretty sure i'm allowed unlimited mods (age and max ncb) as long as deemed "legal".
  13. I was thinking of putting one of those Turbotech numbers on car (S2 Stagea) and was wondring if I ever got into an accident, should I remove it for insurance purposes? Am I legally allowed to have a boost controller on the car. No other mods apart from hi flow panel filter.
  14. Might be getting a 80mm Pivot Boost Gauge 2nd hand. What are they like? I don't know my boost gauges. It's mechanical (vac).
  15. Apart from get an alarm/immobiliser (do your research on the latter too!) I think if you're selling your car I'd recommend that you go for the ride at ALL test drives. No harm in doing so. If you park at night, usually a brightly lit space is much better, i.e. under a lamp and walk a bit further. Unless you have an alarm ofcourse.
  16. Well, decided to take the plunge and crimp the wires with said part. After a bit of cussing and growling, I finally managed to remove the old sensor and replaced it with relative ease. So, as far as i know, the OZA395-E2 part fits with RB25DET NEO engines (S2 Stagea) with crimping the old plug to it. The old sensor didn't look too good, it was white and look like something from the bottom of the barbie! Hopefully with a good tune in a couple of weeks, my fuel consumption will improve from 16L/100kms all city driving with hardly any heavy foor action. Oh yeah... there were 2 white wires, did it matter which white wire was reconnected to the plug?
  17. If the sensor is the same (anyone?) I might just have to crimp the wires with the exisiting plug. Both have 2 black and 1 white wire so looks easy enough. Apart from plug, can anyone tell me if OZA395-E2 is alright for RB25DET NEO engines? EDIT: Well, swapped the plugs and replaced with said part, it fits. Crimping wasn't too bad, but I hope it doesn't matter which white wire was connected back!
  18. Sorry, located in Adelaide. But I can post Express and you should get it overnight (if you're in the delivery area) otherwise 2-3 days. edit: Sorry, no longer for sale, check first post.
  19. NO LONGER FOR SALE, CRIMPED WIRES AND NOW IT RESIDES IN MY CAR.
  20. Just bought one, and I can definitely say the plug doesn't fit. Anybody want to buy one for your R33? $90 delivered.
  21. Well BOLLOCKS. Went out and got the NGK/NTK OZA395-E2 part and i can 100% say the plugs DO NOT FIT. Now I have to go return it and I'm back to square one re: the right sensor for the S2 Stagea.
  22. Tried spanner, couldn't get enough "purchase" to twist. I've ordered a socket from ebay, $22.80 delivered. Hopefully I'll get it next week. Once I have it, anyone in Adelaide need to borrow it, PM me
  23. Have you checked your Attessa fluids? Drivers side, in the boot, in the little parcel shelf like bit. There is the atessa resevoir in there. You can use Auto transmission fluid to top up. My juddering was rectified after i changed the tyres so the rolling dimensions were very very close.
  24. Well I tried removing the old sensor without a sensor socket and i must say... i can't do it. Really need someone to lend me one for a few minutes to change it. Otherwise I'll have to wait till the car gets serviced next month. Anyone in Adelaide with some time this weekend?
  25. Man, having a lot of trouble finding the socket in Adelaide. I've tried Repco, Super Cheap, Sprint. It's 22mm right? Might try hardware stores this weekend.
